Vascular treatment outcome visualization
The present invention relates to vascular treatment outcome visualization. To provide an enhanced possibility to check that a vascular treatment has been correctly performed, it is proposed to provide (112) a first image data (114) of a region of interest of a vascular structure at a first point in time, and to provide (116) at least one second image data (118) of the region of interest of the vascular structure at a second point in time, wherein a vascular treatment has been applied to the vascular structure between the first point in time and the second point in time. Further, the first and the at least one second image data are combined (120) generating a joint outcome visualization image data (122) and the joint outcome visualization image data is displayed (124).
Myocardial CT perfusion image synthesis
The present invention relates to image processing devices and related methods. The image processing device (10) comprises a data input (11) for receiving spectral computed tomography volumetric image data organized in voxels. The image data comprises a contrast-enhanced volumetric image of a cardiac region in a subject's body and a baseline volumetric image of that cardiac region, e.g. a virtual non-contrast image, wherein the contrast-enhanced volumetric image conveys anatomical information regarding coronary artery anatomy of the subject. The device comprises a flow simulator (12) for generating, or receiving as input, a three-dimensional coronary tree model based on the volumetric image data and for simulating a coronary flow based on the three-dimensional coronary tree model. The device comprises a perfusion synthesis unit (13) for generating a perfusion image representative of a blood distribution in tissue at at least one instant in time taking at least the baseline volumetric image and said coronary flow simulation into account.
Medical scan interface feature evaluating system
A medical scan interface feature evaluator system is operable to generate an ordered image-to-prompt mapping by selecting a set of user interface features to be displayed with each of an ordered set of medical scans. The set of medical scans and the ordered image-to-prompt mapping are transmitted to a set of client devices. A set of responses are generated by each client device in response to sequentially displaying each of the set of medical scans in conjunction with a mapped user interface feature indicated in the ordered image-to-prompt mapping via a user interface. Response score data is generated by comparing each response to truth annotation data of the corresponding medical scan. Interface feature score data corresponding to each user interface feature is generated based on aggregating the response score data, and is used to generate a ranking of the set of user interface features.
System and Method for Determining Respiratory Induced Blood Mass Change from a 4D Computed Tomography
A method for determining respiratory induced blood mass change from a four-dimensional computed tomography (4D CT) includes receiving a 4D CT image set which contains a first three-dimensional computed tomographic image (3D CT) and a second 3D CT image. The method includes executing a deformable image registration (DIR) function on the received 4D CT image set, and determining a displacement vector field indicative of the lung motion induced by patient respiration. The method further includes segmenting the received 3D CT images into a first segmented image and a second segmented. The method includes determining the change in blood mass between the first 3D CT image and the second 3D CT image from the DIR solution, the segmented images, and measured CT densities.
Premature Birth Prediction
Systems and methods of predicting future medical events are based on the processing of medical image. The prediction of premature birth and estimation of gestational age based on ultrasound images are presented as illustrative examples. The new abilities to estimate the probability of future medical events, before they otherwise could be predicted, provides new avenues for the development of preventative treatments.
Annotation and assessment of images
Annotations of medical images may be generated using one or more lexicons so that terminology is consistent across multiple exams, users, facilities, etc. Measurements of lesions may be provided using a bilinear measurement tool that allows easier bilinear measurements. Disease assessment models may be selected and applied as measurements are acquired in order to provide immediate determination of disease staging according to one or more selected assessment models.
Estimating the endoluminal path of an endoluminal device along a lumen
Apparatus and methods are described for use with an endoluminal device that includes one or more radiopaque portions and that moves through a lumen of a subject. A sequence of radiographic images of a portion of the subject's body, in which the lumen is disposed, is acquired, during movement of the endoluminal device through the lumen. Locations at which the one or more radiopaque portions of the endoluminal device were imaged during the movement of the endoluminal device through the lumen are identified, by analyzing the sequence of radiographic images. A set of locations at which the one or more radiopaque portions were disposed during the movement of the endoluminal device through the lumen is defined, and an endoluminal path of the device through the lumen is estimated based upon the set of locations. Other applications are also described.
Learning data creation support apparatus, learning data creation support method, and learning data creation support program
Provided are a learning data creation support apparatus, a learning data creation support method, and a learning data creation support program that create learning data required for learning without performing a complicated operation. Image-before-biopsy acquisition means acquires, as an image before biopsy, an image of a biopsy target part of a patient captured at a date and time within a predetermined range before an examination date and time of the biopsy. In a case in which a biopsy result indicated by biopsy data indicates a lesion, registration means registers a lesion candidate obtained by performing an image analysis process for the image before biopsy as correct answer data.
Comprehensive and context-sensitive neonatal pain assessment system and methods using multiple modalities
A system and method of automatically assessing pediatric and neonatal pain using facial expressions along with crying sounds, body movement, and vital signs change to improve the diagnosis and treatment of pain in the pediatric patient population.
ANATOMICAL SURFACE ASSESSMENT METHODS, DEVICES AND SYSTEMS
Methods of assessing features on a skin surface of a patient, and associated systems and devices, are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method of assessing a feature on a patients skin surface includes capturing (i) an image of the patient's skin surface with a camera of a portable capture device and (ii) range information with an auxiliary range measurement device that is attached to the portable capture device. Based on the range information, a single range value can be determined between the capture device and the patient's skin surface. In some embodiments, a scale can be associated with the image based on the single range value.
