PATIENT TRANSFER DEVICE
A patient transfer device includes a chamber formed by an upper layer coupled to a lower layer, the chamber configured to be inflated and supported by a support surface in contact with the lower layer. The patient transfer device further includes a port configured for connection to an air flow device. In various embodiments, the patient transfer device includes a low-friction sheet coupled to a bottom surface of the lower layer, wherein the low-friction sheet is configured to slide against itself to facilitate sliding of the chamber relative to the support surface. In other embodiments, the patient transfer device includes at least one air-expelling region disposed within a bottom surface of the lower layer, wherein the region is configured to expel air from within the first chamber along the bottom surface of the lower layer to facilitate sliding of the first chamber relative to the support surface.

Therapeutic cushion systems and methods
Apparatus and methods for providing therapeutic treatment for symptoms associated with GERD and/or other digestive disorders and/or other medical conditions are described herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a support element that has a first end portion and a second end portion and a top surface disposed at an angle relative to a bottom surface of the support element. The second end portion has a height greater than the first end portion. A riser element is configured to be coupled proximate to the second end portion of the support element. A body element is configured to be disposed on at least one of the support element or the riser element. The body element has a first arm and a second arm connected together by an arc portion.
PORTABLE, INFLATABLE MATTRESS WITH TENT ATTACHMENT
An inflatable apparatus is disclosed that includes an inflatable mattress with a tent coupled to the inflatable mattress. The inflatable mattress may include an inflatable mattress chamber with two elongated inflatable chambers attached to the inflatable mattress chamber. The two elongated inflatable chambers may provide support and stability for the inflatable mattress chamber. The tent may be a collapsible tent coupled to the inflatable mattress chamber. The inflatable mattress and the tent, when deflated and collapsed, respectively, may be rolled-up or folded-up into a compact state for transport and/or storage.
Therapeutic cushion systems and methods
Apparatus and methods for providing therapeutic treatment for symptoms associated with GERD and/or other digestive disorders and/or other medical conditions are described herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a support element and a conformable riser element adjacent the support element. The riser element and the support element collectively form a body support member configured to support a user and define a receiving portion configured to receive a portion of the users arm. The riser element and the support element are each disposed within a casing formed at least in part with a stretch material. In some embodiments, the riser element includes a polyester filler material and the stretch material includes a four-way stretch material. The four-way stretch material in combination with the polyester filler material enables the riser element to be conformable.
HEALTH-CARE DEVICE
A health-care device for supporting a human body rested on a carrier includes an air-permeable member, a moving unit, an air regulating unit and a control unit. The air-permeable member is connected with the carrier and under the human body. A moving unit is operative to move the carrier or the air-permeable member to generate an airflow space between the carrier and the human body. An air regulating unit is operative to permit air flowing through the airflow space to reduce the discomfort feeling of the bedridden patient. The control unit is connected to control the air regulating unit and the moving unit.
HELPER PAD
A helper pad includes a base layer, a capsule structure and a fluid drive device. The base layer substantially has a sheet structure. The capsule structure is arranged on the base layer, defines the accommodation space, and has an opening to communicate the accommodation space with the outside. The capsule structure includes a fixed region and a driven region. Through a delivery line, the fluid drive device is connected to the opening of the capsule structure and controls the fluid to flow into or exhaust from the accommodation space defined by the capsule structure. When the accommodation space is filled with the fluid, the fixed region is inflated, and a thickness of one side of the driven region is larger than that of another one side of the driven region.
BED ALERT COMMUNICATION METHOD
A system that monitors various conditions of a plurality of hospital beds located in different rooms of a healthcare facility is provided. Alternatively or additionally, other types of equipment may be monitored by the system. Various configurations of network interface units that are coupleable to or integrated into a hospital bed are also disclosed. The system receives data from the hospital beds and/or other equipment and initiates a communication to a wireless communication device of at least one designated caregiver in response to the received data being indicative of an alarm condition.
Medical Air Mattress
A medical air mattress has a mattress body and an upper bedspread. The mattress body is formed by multiple air cells including independent air cells parallelly arranged as an air cell row. The upper bedspread covers the mattress body. The independent air cells are connected to the independent deflating unit to be deflated independently. When the patient needs to use the bedpan, the independent air cells are deflated to form a recess for receiving the bedpan so that the patient needs not to move.
INFLATABLE PERSON SUPPORT STRAPS
An inflatable support strap for positioning and rotating a horizontally laying subject on a support surface, the inflatable support strap includes an elongate body comprising a first end and a second end spaced a distance apart from the first end, the first end and the second end each comprising at least one loop extending therefrom, and the elongate body defining a cavity. The inflatable support strap also includes one or more bladders disposed within the cavity, the one or more bladders configured to be selectively inflated or deflated.
