The sheet of fabric has an upper surface configured to face the patient and a lower surface configured to face a surgical table mattress or underbody support. The sheet of fabric includes friction enhancing elements applied to at least a portion of the upper surface thereof. The sheet of fabric can include an extension at a foot end of the sheet of fabric that provides material to be tucked under a foot end of the surgical table mattress or underbody support for securing the foot end of the sheet of fabric to the surgical table mattress or underbody support. The extension can include one or more friction enhancing elements.

PATIENT SLIDER DEVICE

A patient slider device configured to move a patient from a first bed surface to a second bed surface positioned adjacent thereto. The patient slider device includes a frame, a bed engagement assembly and a patient pulling assembly. The bed engagement assembly includes a bumper with the bumper being adjustable relative to the frame. The patient pulling assembly includes a winch assembly, preferably positioned proximate a lower end of the frame, and a sheet engaging clamp assembly. The sheet engaging clamp assembly includes a base member and a locking member structurally configured to clamp a sheet therebetween.

READY LIFT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR POSITIONING PATIENTS
20230293370 · 2023-09-21 ·

A system and method of lifting and positioning patients uses a patient’s center of gravity for leverage to enable a caregiver to readily move a patient with less effort. The system includes a device with a tension sheet and tension rollers located at opposite ends of the device. The tension rollers are configured to increase tension in the tension sheet, which creates leverage to assist positioning of the patient. The patient lifting and positioning system aims to reduce injury risk for both the caregiver and any patient being assisted to lay down and sit up. Further, the system and method uses leverage to assist a patient lay flat on an exam table or bed from the sitting position to the laying position, and back to the sitting position with less effort.

METHOD OF POSITIONING A PATIENT

The present disclosure provides a method of positioning a patient. The patient is provided on a support surface, an inflatable positioning mattress disposed between the patient and the support surface. Air flow into the inflatable positioning mattress is initiated to inflate the inflatable positioning mattress. A downward force is applied on the inflatable positioning mattress proximate to a first side of the support surface. A portion of the inflatable positioning mattress proximate to a second side of the support surface is raised. At least one wedge is positioned beneath the inflatable positioning mattress. Subsequently, the patient is lowered onto the at least one wedge.

Apparatus and system for lifting, moving, turning, and positioning a patient

A patient support device includes a sheet configured to be placed beneath the patient in use and a plurality of straps connected to the sheet and configured for use in moving, lifting, turning, and/or positioning the patient. The straps may include one or more retractable straps that each have a stretchable retraction strap connected thereto and configured for retracting the retractable strap. The straps may also include one or more central support straps connected to the sheet in an area positioned between the legs of the patient. The sheet may also include a head support for supporting the patient's head, which head support may also include one or more straps. The straps may be connected to a hoist, which is then used to lift the patient.

Apparatus for securing a patient in the trendelenburg position during surgery

The apparatus of the present invention provides an apparatus for moving a patient on a pad and holding the pad in place on the surgical table. The disposable pad works in conjunction with the reusable patient lifting/moving base, allowing nurses to more readily and easily move patients on the table in order to facilitate surgical positioning. In another embodiment, the entire apparatus may be disposable. A pressure sensitive adhesive may hold the pad in place and prevent slippage between the pad and the top of the surgical table.

AUTOMATED ADJUSTMENTS FOR PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS

An automated system and methods are provided for coordinating a transfer of a patient between patient support apparatuses. The method can include establishing communication between a transferring patient support apparatus and a receiving patient support apparatus. The method can further include adjusting a position of at least one of the receiving patient support apparatus and the transferring patient support apparatus. The method can include locating and aligning the receiving patient support apparatus adjacent the transferring patient support apparatus.

DEVICES AND SYSTEMS FOR MOVING A PERSON ON A SUPPORT APPARATUS

Various implementations include a device for moving a person on a support apparatus. The device includes a base, an expandable volume, and a sheet. The base has a first side, a second side, and a support apparatus coupler for coupling the device to a support apparatus. The expandable volume is disposed on a surface of the base between the first side and the second side and is actuatable from a first position to a second position. The sheet has a first portion that is stationary with respect to the base and a second portion. The sheet extends from the first portion, over the second side, over the expandable volume, and over the first side. Actuation of the expandable volume from the first position to the second position increases a length of the sheet extending from the second side of the base to the first side of the base.

Bi-Wing Arm Support System
20220000692 · 2022-01-06 ·

An apparatus for moving a patient on a pad and holding the pad in place on a surgical table. An upper member and a lower member having wings extending from opposite sides are configured and arranged to secure the position of the arms. In this position the arm has been securely wrapped without use of the patient's body weight, and the arm can be easily unwrapped by reversing the steps above, without the necessity of repositioning the patient (to get their body weight off of the device or a draw sheet), for access to the arm during the surgical procedure. Access may be necessary for anesthesia monitoring lines, invasive arterial lines, non-invasive blood pressure cuffs, SPO2 finger probes, and intravenous lines needed for medications and fluid delivery.
