Boronate adhesives for apparel products
Embodiments provide apparel products having boronate adhesives. The apparel products include a major component forming a base portion of the apparel product. The major component is configured to be supported and worn at least partially over a portion of a wearer. The apparel product includes a minor component forming a secondary portion configured to be coupled to the major component. An adhesive is disposed at least partially between a portion of the major component and a portion of the minor component. The adhesive includes a boronate ester bond.
Swimsuit with left-handed opening mechanism
A swimsuit having a torso-covering section extending from a bustline to a hemline. The torso-covering section has a fastener on the front panel that extends from a first point on the bustline in a diagonal direction to a second point on the hemline. The torso-covering section is defined by front, back, left, and right panels. The point on the hemline is situated on an opposite side of the wearer than the point on the bustline. The fastener has a starting point situated on a wearer's leg cuff on one side of the wearer's body to an ending point on the wearer's bustline on the side of the body opposite to the leg cuff. For example, the fastener ending point is on the right leg cuff and the fastener starting point is on the bustline on the left side of the wearer.
OUTERWEAR GARMENT FOR USE WITH CHILD SAFETY SEATS
In some embodiments, a hood and outerwear garments with single attachment points for children wearing coats in car safety seats are disclosed. In some embodiments, the outerwear garment is comprised of a winter bonnet having an insulated lining and a single attachment point at the upper anterior portion of a coat. In some embodiments, the single anterior attachment prevents the hood from being inadvertently lodged behind a child—potentially limiting the safety seat's ability to secure the child. An object of some embodiments is to prevent a hood from interfering with car safety seat restraint systems.
VENTILATION APPARATUS
A ventilation apparatus includes a motor, a fan, a housing, and a ring. A projection protrudes from one of an outer peripheral surface of a peripheral wall part of the housing and an inner peripheral surface of the ring, whereas an engagement wall and a guide wall are provided on the other of the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall part of the housing and the inner peripheral surface of the ring. The guide wall has a guide surface configured to guide the ring rearward relative to the housing and to guide the projection to an engagement position at which the projection is abuttable on an engagement surface of the engagement wall. In a direction in which the projection moves away from the guide surface in a front-rear direction, an open space extends from the guide surface to an area that corresponds to an end of the second surface.
Safety Wear Item
A safety wear item featuring a series of LEDs mounted on each of four separate mounting strips, two strips extending down from a respective one of the wear item shoulders and two other strips wrapped around each side of the lower region of a wear item waist. The strips with LEDs are each readily and quickly detachable from the wear item to allow washing the vest or to replace a strip having a defective LED thereon.
Burp Cloth
A burp cloth with a connection mechanism to removably attach multiple burp cloths together is implemented. The burp cloth may have a front-side cloth and a rear-side cloth, and in between the two cloths are magnets. The magnets are sealed and secured in place via stitching that encircles the magnets. The stitching extends from the front-side cloth to the rear-side cloth to create a sealed pocket between the cloths. The front- and rear-side cloths are attached via a trim that surrounds each cloth's perimeter. Opposing sides of the trim are stitched to a respective front- or rear-side cloth to form the components into a single burp cloth unit. Multiple burp cloths can be uniformly arranged and removably engaged with each other via the magnets, thereby enabling a user to quickly and easily remove a dirtied burp cloth to expose a clean burp cloth for use.
SAFETY GLOVE WITH FINGERTIP PROTECTIVE MEMBER
A safety glove having a protective member or insert extending around the fingertip of the safety glove is provided. The protective member may be positioned along the outer surface or the inner surface of the glove. Alternatively, the protective member may be integrally formed between two layers of glove material. The protective member terminates distally from an interphalangeal joint line to enable finger flexion in order to grasp an item, such as a slab of meat to be deskinned in a skinning machine. The glove may include a rough outer surface formed from thrice dipping the glove and allowing the glove to cure. Additionally, the glove may have a width near the wrist that is wider than the width near the palm to enable the glove to be rapidly removed (i.e., doffed) in an emergency event of the glove getting caught in a rotating blade on the skinning machine.
Elastomeric gloves and methods for their production
The present application provides low thickness synthetic elastomeric gloves, comprising (a) a thickness at the palm of less than 0.050 mm; (a) a modulus at 500% above 6.5 MPa; and/or (c) an elongation at break below 700%. Also provided is a method for the manufacture of such gloves involving dipping a glove-shaped former into an elastomeric film-forming composition; and curing the elastomeric film-forming composition on the former so as to produce the synthetic elastomeric glove. Corresponding low thickness finger cots are also described, as are formers suitable for the preparation of such gloves.
MICRO HOOK-AND-LOOP CLOSURE SYSTEM
An article or garment comprising a micro hook-and-loop closure system is provided herein. The article comprises at least one extremity-covering portion. The distal end of the extremity-covering portion comprises a first textile at an outer-facing surface and a second textile at an inner-facing surface. The second textile includes micro hook or micro loop materials that releasably mate with complementary micro hook or micro loop materials of the first textile in order to place the micro hook-and-loop closure system in a closed configuration. The placement, size, and shape of each of the first and second textiles, as extending from a distal end toward a proximal end of the article, enable the article or garment to be expediently and comfortably donned and doffed.
