20220054339 · 2022-02-24 · ·

A person lifting apparatus includes a strap movement system. The person lifting device includes a housing and a lifting strap feeding device located in the housing. The lifting strap feeding device includes a motor connected to a drum and a lifting strap wound on the drum. A sensor provides a signal indicative of force on the lifting strap. A controller receives the signal from the sensor. The controller controls operation of the motor based on the signal. A user input is used to place the strap movement system in a fast mode during which the controller speeds up operation of the motor from a normal operating speed.

Apparatus for unloading a user's body weight during a physical activity of said user, particularly for gait training of said user

The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for unloading a user's body weight during a physical activity of said user (4), particularly for gait training of said user (4), comprising: a plurality of ropes (41, 42, 43, 44), wherein each rope (41, 42, 43, 44) extends from an associated drive unit (510, 520, 530, 540), is deflected by a passively displaceable deflection device, e.g. a device that is displaceable by means of the forces in the deflected ropes, and then runs to a first free end (41 a, 42a, 43a, 44a) of the respective rope (41, 42, 43, 44), and a node (60) being coupled to said first free ends (41 a, 42a, 43a, 44a) and being designed to be coupled to said user (4), wherein the drive units (510, 520, 530, 540) are designed to retract and release the respective rope (41, 42, 43, 44) so as to adjust a current rope force (FR) along the respective rope (41, 42, 43, 44), which current rope forces add up to a current resulting force (F) exerted on said user (4) via said node (60) in order to unload the user (4) upon said physical activity. Further, the invention relates to a method for controlling such a system.

SHEET ASSEMBLIES HAVING A PLURALITY OF ADJUSTABLE STRAPS

A sheet assembly includes a sheet having an edge and a pocket extending longitudinally along the edge. A plurality of loops are arranged along the edge and extend from openings formed in the pocket of the sheet. An adjustment webbing is slidably positioned within the pocket. At least a portion of each loop of the plurality of loops is anchored to the adjustment webbing such that sliding the adjustment webbing along the pocket pulls the plurality of loops into the pocket and reduces an exposed length of the plurality of loops

An appliance for working with patients, includes an essentially sheet-like basic structure and includes as a combination a layer (1) lying against the base, which slides well in one direction and poorly in another, a support layer (2) permitting lifting, and a moisture-absorbent layer (4), which is equipped with a protective layer (3) impermeable to moisture. It also includes handle parts (7) permitting gripping, on at least two sides.

BODY LIFTING DEVICE FOR BEDS
20170296413 · 2017-10-19 ·

A body lifting device for a bed is provided with a support unit, having a predetermined height, connected to a fixing part of a bed. A movable bed part adjusts an angle between the fixing and movable parts. A driving force transfer member of the device is connected to the movable part at one end, the other end extending toward the fixing part, and has a support point therebetween supported by the support unit. A length between the support point and the other end varies depending on an angle adjustment of the movable part. A lifting unit of the device supports a portion of a user's body, and is connected to the other end of the driving force transfer member. The lifting unit selectively lifts up the user's body depending on movement of the driving force transfer member, which is caused by adjusting an angle of the movable part.

Exercise vest to allow one person to easily lift patient out of wheelchair
20170296415 · 2017-10-19 ·

An exercise vest including a thoracic belt fitting around a person's midsection. A padded elasticized and reinforced band attached to the thoracic belt at center back designed to come from back around in front of each shoulder and connect to unweighting system. Two elasticized and reinforced straps designed to attach in the front and come around each side of patient attach in an x pattern in the back and attach to the unweighting system. The exercise vest is positioned in such a way that as the patient is unweighted it cinches and hugs the person to distribute forces uniformly throughout a patient's torso, preventing wear on the person and strain on the device. This allows us to lift a patient upright out of a wheel chair in an easy, comfortable and safe manner.

Medical transfer pad and production process thereof
