FOLDABLE AND DISPLACEABLE BATHING CHAIR STRUCTURE
A foldable and displaceable bathing chair structure comprises a seat unit and a seat supporting unit. The seat unit comprises a movable cushion and at least two sliding components. Each sliding component comprises at least one roller and a seat positioning piece. The seat supporting unit comprises four folding units, four chair legs, two side pipe bodies and two cushion pipe bodies. Each folding unit comprises a first connecting part connected with the chair leg, a second connecting part connected with the side pipe body and a third connecting part connected with the cushion pipe body. Each cushion pipe body includes at least one seat positioning hole, and each side pipe body includes a folding switch component. The roller of each sliding component drives the movable cushion to move thereon. The folding switch components enable the chair legs to be displaced relative to the cushion pipe bodies.
Emergency Lifting Apparatus
A portable, lightweight emergency lifting device for downed persons that is intended for use by paramedics/emergency personnel as well as medical facilities and private owners. The lifting device has a single electric screw extendible ram, with a frictional fail safe lifting system. It has a seat with a ramped front edge in conjunction with an arced support leg configuration that allows the seat to extend to the ground when the device is in its collapsed configuration, to aid in loading the patient. The vertical legs open only to an acute angled position so as to leave the immediate area under the seat open and uncluttered. The frame rolls on a pair of fixed front wheels and a wider pair of rear casters.
Transfer seating assembly
A transfer seating assembly for facilitating transitioning of a user to a shower enclosure or tub includes a plate, a plurality of legs, and a seat. The legs are engaged to and extend substantially perpendicularly from a bottom of the plate. Each leg comprises a plurality of nested sections so that the leg is selectively extensible. The legs can be selectively extended to position the plate in a substantially horizontal position and at a desired height. The seat is rotationally and slidably engaged to a top of the plate and can be selectively and fixedly engaged to the plate. A user positioned in the seat can selectively slide the seat, and the user, from proximate to a first end to proximate to a second end of the plate. The user also is positioned to rotate the seat, and the user, relative to the plate.
System and methods for supporting and positioning a person
A system for supporting and positioning a person. A flexible cover layer defines a support surface for the person, and a formable layer is coupled to the flexible cover layer. The formable layer includes a sealed bladder adapted to be in fluid communication with a vacuum source, and particles disposed within the sealed bladder. The system is operable in a first configuration in the absence of the vacuum, and a second configuration in the presence of the vacuum. In the first configuration, the particles are substantially movable relative to one another such that a contour may be provided to the support surface. In the second configuration, substantially immovable relative to provide rigidity to the formable layer to maintain the contour. A controller coupled to sensors may control the vacuum source to move said system between the first and second configurations. Methods of supporting and positioning the person are also disclosed.
Standing assistance apparatus
The present disclosure provides a standing assistance apparatus including a support part configured to support a load, a saddle part configured to accommodate a patient to allow the patient to position from sitting condition to standing condition, and a guide part coupled between the support part and the saddle part and having an adjustable length to guide the patient to stand, wherein the guide part is disposed in diagonal direction with respect to the support part to guide the patient to stand in the diagonal direction.
Inflatable Coveralls Transforms into a Chair to Lift a Fallen Person
Inflatable coveralls provide individuals, who fall frequently, with protection and independence. The coveralls consist of pads on the shoulders and hips to reduce the impact of a fall on the person. When worn and located underneath the fallen person, the coveralls can be inflated with air into a chair, creating a higher platform from which the person can more easily get up. This reduces the dependence these individuals have on a care-giver. Users can fasten the coveralls using velcros, instead of buttons or zippers, because it is easier to wear and they automatically open from the increase in air pressure of the inflated coveralls. Made of light-weight and air impermeable material, the inflatable coveralls pads the fall of individuals, and elevated the fallen individual so that they can more easily rise, allowing them to gain independence.
Lift for water entry/exit and methods of manufacture and use thereof
A method for mechanically lowering a person into and out from a structure having a water level, a deck, and an interior wall includes a waterproof lift and drive assembly, and the steps of connecting the lift to a base housing having an upper surface such that, in a lowered state, a lifting beam is at least partially contained within the base housing and, in a raised state, at least a portion of the lifting beam is above the upper surface at a given height, fixing the base housing to a wall of the structure to place the upper surface below the waterline such that, in the lowered state, the lifting beam and the seat assembly are completely submerged in the water and, in the raised state, the bottom seat surface is above the waterline and deck sufficient to permit a person to sit upon the chair.
INDOOR MOBILITY SYSTEM WITH TRACKED SUSPENSION
An indoor mobility system with tracked suspension includes a track, a trolley that travels upon the track, a seat which can carry an occupant, and a mount which suspends the seat from the trolley. Controls mounted to the seat permit the occupant to move the trolley along the track in one of two directions, thereby transporting the occupant with it. Tracks may be run along a ceiling of a structure so that the user can traverse the interior without walking. Forming the track, two U-shaped channels mirror and open up towards each other, and wheels upon the trolley span this gap, being constrained between the channels. The trolley features a two-piece hinged carriage that provides stability to the seat carried upon it while also being able to pass through curved sections of the track. An electric motor may drive one or more wheels of the trolley to propel the system.
PATIENT HANDLING APPARATUS
A patient handling apparatus (10) comprising a base (30) with a frame (31) and a patient support device (20). The patient handling apparatus (10) further comprises a weighing arrangement (90) for weighing a patient supported by the patient support device (20), said weighing arrangement (90) comprising a sub frame (91) and a plurality of load sensors (95, 96, 97). The sub frame (91) is arranged on the load sensors (95, 96, 97), said load sensors (95, 96, 97) defining a weighing area (S), whereby the patient support device (20) is mounted to the frame (31) such that a central point (C) of a seat support portion (21) of the patient support device (20) is positioned outside the weighting area (S) in at least one position of the patient support device (20).
