Toilet seat lift assembly

A toilet seat lift assembly includes a toilet seat that is mountable to a toilet and the toilet seat has a lower half and an upper half. A set of first brackets is each movably coupled between the lower half and the upper half of the toilet seat. A set of second brackets is each movably coupled between the lower half and the upper half of the toilet seat. A lifting unit is movably coupled to the upper half of the toilet seat for urging the upper half into a home position or a deployed position. A remote control is in communication with the lifting unit for remotely actuating the lifting unit into the lowering condition or the lifting condition. In this way the remote control facilitates a person to either lift or lower themselves onto the toilet.

SYSTEM FOR APPLYING THERAPY TO A HUMAN BODY

In one embodiment, there is provided a system for applying therapy to a human body. The system includes a coupling apparatus and a supporting apparatus. The coupling apparatus is configured to couple to an upper body portion of a user. The supporting apparatus is configured to support at least a portion of a weight of the user. An amount of weight that is supported is adjustable. In some embodiments, the system may further include a control apparatus configured to control at least one of a state and/or a position of the supporting apparatus.

Safety system for a bathroom facility transfer system

A bathroom facility transfer system, including a mobile base, a stationary base, and a removable bridge is disclosed. A user seated in a chair, is positioned adjacent to a bathroom facility with the mobile base. The removable bridge connects the mobile base to the stationary base, which is removably affixed to the bathroom facility, to allow the chair carrying the user to be moved between the mobile base and the stationary base. A chair blocking member on the removable base is movable between a) a chair blocking position, and b) a chair unblocking position. At least one opposed end of the chair blocking member interferes with movement of the chair onto the removable bridge from the mobile base or the stationary base, when the chair blocking member is in the chair blocking position. A method of assisting a user with accessing a bathroom facility is also disclosed.

Two piece subject support apparatuses

A subject support apparatus includes an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion includes a vest having a first end and a second end, a closure mechanism configured to couple the first end of the vest to the second end of the vest from a bottom end of the vest to a top end of the vest to form a closed loop, and a pair of shoulder straps extending from the vest. The lower portion includes a seat piece having a first end and a second end, and a pair of loop straps extending from the first end and the second end of the seat piece. Subject support systems including the subject support apparatus and methods of lifting a subject using the subject support apparatus are also described.

An exemplary mobility device may further include an actuator that may be coupled with the exemplary support assemblies and may actuate rotational movements of the exemplary support assemblies with respect to each other. Such movement of support assemblies may accordingly move respective limbs of a disabled user. An exemplary mobility device may allow for a user to change position from a lying position to a standing position or from a standing position to a sitting position, which may significantly increase mobility of a disabled user. An exemplary mobility device may further include an exemplary wheeled base that may allow a disabled user to further move around.

Vertical supports attached to the seat portion include multiple lift angle holes that allow the seat to be elevated to different lifted angles. Elongate members pivotally connect to vertical supports. The elongate members attach via one of the multiple lift angle holes. The elongate members are able to attach to different lift angle holes. The lifted angle is determined by the first one of the at least two seat position holes. A lift generator is attached to the base and extends to lift the horizontal seat portion into the lifted position. The lift generator contracts to return the horizontal seat portion to the seated position.
