20240133216 · 2024-04-25 · ·

A reusable system for securing packaging and providing tamper evidence is disclosed. The system may comprise a housing for securing an opening of the packaging, an access controller operably engaged to the housing and a security member. The housing may comprise a lock, wherein release of the lock may enable opening of the packaging. The access controller may be configured to operably move relative to the housing to assume positions comprising an active position and an inactive position. In the active position, the lock is prevented from being released thereby preventing the opening of the packaging. In the inactive position, the lock is releasable thereby enabling the opening of the packaging. The movement of the access controller from the active position to the inactive position causes change in the security member, wherein the change is capable of detecting tampering.

Fastener with support feature for pawl component

A fastener assembly having a unique pawl design for the head portion of a fastener assembly. The fastener assembly may be a cable tie that includes a head portion having a pawl that includes a primary pawl tooth, at least one set of secondary pawl teeth, and a shelf support feature for pawl. The fastener assembly of the present invention prevent pawl roll out which is a failure that currently occurs with fastener assembly currently available in the market place.

Security seal

A tamper evident seal includes an elongated strap having a first end proportioned to engage a locking barrel provided on the second of the elongated strap. The elongated strap includes an array of bumps having flat tops to provide an effective grip for a user. A ramp is provided close to the first end of the elongated strap. When the first end of the elongated strap is inserted low the locking barrel, the ramp covers the end of the locking barrel preventing access to the locking feature which is disposed in the locking barrel.

Security device for a battery pack

A security device for a battery pack includes a cap, which covers at least a portion of a slide mechanism of a slide battery pack, and a strap. The cap includes a first collar disposed around a first opening and a second collar disposed around a second opening, with the first collar and the second collar aligned along a longitudinal axis of the slide battery pack. The strap matches a contour of the slide battery pack and includes a first projection and a second projection. The strap is positioned along the longitudinal axis of the slide battery pack and the cap is positioned over the strap with the first projection inserted through the first opening and the first collar and the second projection inserted through the second opening and the second collar to secure the cap to the strap and to the slide battery pack.
