SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LIFTING AND POSITIONING A PATIENT
An inflatable device for lifting a patient includes an inflatable body having a top sheet and a bottom sheet attached along opposing side edges and forming at least one cavity there between, and a plurality of connecting members extending outwardly from the opposing side edges of the inflatable device.
Caregiver's helper lift
A caregiver's helper lift utilizes a unique hoisting apparatus, a lifting harness worn by a patient, and a control apparatus to allow a caregiver to raise and lower a patient into/out-of a wheelchair and into/out-of a vehicle, down to or up off a floor, or to any other position/location that a patient needs to be moved. The lifting harness can clip to a lift attachment which is affixed to a helper lift suspension cable/rope/etc. The caregiver's helper lift utilizes a crane arm to suspend the patient and allow him or her to be repositioned by simply rolling/turning the lift. By actuating the hoisting apparatus control system, the patient can be controllably raised and lowered as desired. The crane arm can be adjustably attached to a power T upright which is itself attached to a brace base. At least two beam extensions extend laterally from the brace and provide stability.
Robot, robot control method, method, and recording medium
A robot includes an arm mechanism that operates in accordance with a first motion pattern for supporting a user with a standing-up motion which starts in a sitting posture and finishes in a standing posture, a control unit that (i) acquires first information used to identify a predetermined position of the arm mechanism corresponding to a half-crouching posture of the user during a motion in accordance with the first motion pattern and (ii) detects whether the current position of the arm mechanism operating in accordance with the first motion pattern is included in a first range including the predetermined position identified by the first information, and a presentation unit that presents a first signal if the control unit detects that the position of the arm mechanism is included in the first range.
MOBILITY APPARATUS
A mobility apparatus having: a base having casters; a handle assembly pivotally attached to the base; a locking mechanism operable to place the handle assembly into a plurality of positions corresponding to an operating mode of the apparatus, and maintain the handle assembly in one of the plurality of positions; an actuating mechanism coupled to the locking mechanism to actuate the locking mechanism; and wherein the locking mechanism comprises: a hub fixedly secured to the base; a hub ring rotatably secured within the hub and comprising attachment means for the handle assembly; a gas spring mechanism coupled to the hub ring to provide a mechanical advantage to assist an operator in lifting a patient; a breaking mechanism for the casters, wherein the breaking mechanism is operable to lock and unlock the casters simultaneously.
SHEET ASSEMBLIES HAVING A PLURALITY OF ADJUSTABLE STRAPS
A sheet assembly includes a sheet having an edge and a pocket extending longitudinally along the edge. A plurality of loops are arranged along the edge and extend from openings formed in the pocket of the sheet. An adjustment webbing is slidably positioned within the pocket. At least a portion of each loop of the plurality of loops is anchored to the adjustment webbing such that sliding the adjustment webbing along the pocket pulls the plurality of loops into the pocket and reduces an exposed length of the plurality of loops
PATIENT LIFT HAVING AUTOMATIC FOLDING AND UNFOLDING APPARATUS
A patient lift having automatic folding and unfolding apparatus is disclosed. It comprises a base having a dynamic mechanism, two supporting legs connected to the dynamic mechanism for opening and closing actions, a main frame disposed on the base, a lifting arm pivotally connected to an end of the main frame, a lifting device disposed between the main frame and the lifting arm, and an automatic controlling module correspondingly connected to the dynamic mechanism and the lifting device to spread or close the two supporting legs and to elevate or reset the lifting arm.
MEDICAL BED
The medical bed has a frame formed at least from two parallel side members secured to a chassis. The chassis has two symmetrical assemblies, each having at least one first arm. A first end of which is mounted so as to rotate with respect to the frame on a first axis parallel to the plane formed by the frame and perpendicular to the side members. Each assembly has at least one second arm; a first end is mounted so as to rotate with respect to the frame on a third axis parallel to the first axis while a second end is mounted so as to rotate with respect to the first arm on a fourth axis parallel to the first axis. There is a mechanism for moving each assembly in translation with respect to the frame between at least one retracted position and a deployed position of the rolling base.
Lifting device
A lifting device, configured to attach to a lifting head and sling to move a disabled person from one location to another including a support column, a first arm, a second arm, and a friction brake. The support column includes an axis and is configured to attach between two stationary surfaces. The first arm is fixedly connected to the support column. The second arm is pivotally connected to the first arm at a pivot joint. The second arm is configured to connect to the lifting head. The support column and first arm are configured to rotate around the axis, and the second arm is configured to pivot around the pivot joint such that the second arm second end rotates three hundred and sixty degrees around the axis.
Portable assistive lift
A portable assistive lift comprising a vertical member comprising a handle bar and a central wheel controlled by the handle bar disposed at the top and bottom extremities thereof respectively, a pair of left and right support members, each of which comprising a horizontal top rod extending from the vertical member, a bottom rod comprising a side wheel receptacle for receiving a side wheel therewithin disposed at a distal extremity thereof and a connecting rod connecting the free and proximal extremities of the top and bottom rods respectively whereby, the vertical member and the top, bottom and the connecting rods from a U-shaped structure as viewed from top and a hook stand comprising a plurality of hooks about which a sling is coupled thereto wherein, the hook stand is adapted to be elevated and lowered.
LIFTING DEVICE FOR DISABLED PERSON
The invention provides an electronically control motorized lifting device for transfer of a paraplegic between seated positions. A post extends from a wheeled base and movably supports a head for upwards and downwards movement. A lifting arm arrangement is pivotably secured to the head. The head is also rotatable about the post and the base movable between an expanded stabilizing condition and a retracted condition. The latter condition allows the lifting device to fit through a standard width doorway. Movement of the base between these conditions is effected by pivoting of the lifting arm arrangement into and out of a lateral supporting position. The base preferably includes five legs extending substantially radially from the post with two of the legs foldable towards adjacent legs.
