Spinal traction device and method of use
A cervical spine traction device and method of use to apply a controlled tractional force to the cervical spine of a patient to remodel and correct improper spinal positioning. The device is affixed to an end of a table and includes a mounting plate, a riser, a height adjusting means, an angular adjusting means, a tensioning means, and a headrest. The patient is placed into the device in a prone position and a tractional force is applied to cervical spine of the patient to remodel proper spinal positioning.
Apparatus for coil positioning for TMS studies
A method and device provide simple positioning of a TMS coil relative to a coordinate system of the patient's head while allowing flexible positioning of the patient's head. The system includes a mobile console on a wheeled base that integrates various subsystems and supports a mast that, in turn, supports a coil gantry that supports a TMS coil assembly. The coil gantry includes a balance arm with a counterbalance and a halo assembly that connects to the coil. The coil gantry supports the weight of the coil and allows free movement of the coil in all dimensions for easy placement on the patient's head. A head support and coil alignment aligns the patient's head and holds the head in place relative to the coil during TMS treatment.
Adjustment mechanism for a headset of a treatment chair
The invention relates to a treatment chair (1) comprising a headrest (2), connected to the chair (1) with a headrest arm (4), and a position adjustment member (3) for the headrest (2). The position adjustment member (3) comprises at least one ratchet mechanism (5) to lock the headrest (2) in a wanted position.
JAW BRACE
A brace that includes at least one chin rest for stabilizing a patient's jaw in a fixed relative position. More specifically, the at least one chin rest is itself supported in its fixed position using additional mechanisms such as a chest plate or one or more arms that can be attached to a dental or oral surgical chair. The brace is used to stabilize a patient's jaw when the patient's jaw is supported by the at least one chin rest.
Unit chair
The present disclosure relates to a unit chair. The unit chair includes a link unit for adjusting a posture of a headrest, wherein the link unit includes: a first link member fixed to a backrest portion of the unit chair; a second link member having one end portion hinged to the first link member by a first hinge pin; and a first ratchet member formed on one surface of at least one of the first link member and the second link member and constraining motion of the second link member so that the second link member is rotatable only in one direction based on a central axis line of the first hinge pin, wherein the first ratchet member includes a first ratchet base portion including a plurality of saw teeth formed on one surface, arranged in a ring shape based on the central axis line of the first hinge pin, uplifted in a direction toward the central axis line, and inclined only in one direction, and having an opposite surface fixed to the first link member; and a first ratchet rotating portion including a plurality of saw teeth formed on one surface and at least partially engaged with at least some of the saw teeth of the first ratchet base portion and having an opposite surface fixed to the second link member.
Devices and methods for measuring parameters associated with animal eye health
The invention provides methods and devices for securing the head of an animal in position while obtaining objective measurements associated with eye health. In one aspect, the devices comprise a rest for receiving a portion of the animal's head and a pole configured to enable the rest to pivot about a first axis of rotation and rotate about a second axis of rotation perpendicular to the first axis of rotation. In an embodiment, the rest can move up and down the second axis of rotation.
HOLDING DEVICE FOR DENTAL MEDICAL DEVICES
Disclosed is a holding device for dental medical devices, the holding device including a headrest installed on a headrest support of a dental chair, and a medical device holder connected to the headrest and configured to hold dental medical devices used during dental treatment.
Armrest assembly with adjustable mounting shaft
An armrest assembly includes an armrest body. A first shaft extends from a first side of the armrest body along an armrest axis and is attached to the armrest body for relative rotational movement about the armrest axis. A second shaft extends from a second side of the armrest body along the armrest axis and is attached to the armrest body for relative rotational movement about the armrest axis and relative axial movement.
SURGICAL DEVICE AND PATIENT POSITIONING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system for reducing the physiologic strain on a surgeon and for reducing turn around time between patient surgical procedures, wherein the surgical procedures are performed successively on patients who are each disposed upon a surgical bed, by providing the ability to repeatably locate and orient surgical assistive features and patient body portions such that surgeon is presented with similar location of surgical assistive features and patient body portions from one surgical procedure to the next. Patient head location may adjusted by inflatable bladders. Patient head rotation, surgeon stool height, operating bed height, wrist rest height and other surgical assistive features are quickly adjustable so as to be repeatable from one surgical procedure to the next. Surgeon fatigue and turn around time between surgical procedures are reduced. The adjustments may be computer-controlled for repeatability and accuracy.
Transportable autonomous dental unit
A transportable autonomous dental unit is described, mounted on a base to which side walls are associated in order to create a container of around 4 liters of volume, featuring a dental chair whose column has a compressed air tank, a complete instrument table, a compressor to fill the needs of the pneumatic peripherals and venturi suction device for compressed air, means for connection to a water supply line, a wastewater drainage duct, and a power source, offering the same operation conditions of a complete conventional dental unit.
