SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING MULTIPLE SURGICAL VARIABLES
A surgical patient interface including a base; a platform coupled to the base and including a first end and a second end, the platform configured to transition between a first position and a second position about a pivotable axis stationary relative to the base; a first abutment and a second abutment each adjustably coupled to the platform. In the first position, the platform extends between the first end and the second end in a substantially horizontal direction relative to the base, and the first abutment and the second abutment are separated by a first distance along the substantially horizontal direction. In the second position, the platform extends between the first end and the second end in a substantially vertical direction such that a torso of a patient extends in the substantially vertical direction, and the first abutment and the second abutment are separated by a second, different distance along the substantially vertical direction.
Systems and Methods for Relieving Nerve Tension in Scoliosis
A platform supports a person in a supine position. A pelvic restraint secures the person's hips to the platform. A left leg armature is rotatably connected to the platform, with an axis of rotation of the left leg armature positioned at a prescribed distance from an axis of the person's left hip joint when the hips are secured to the platform. The left leg armature lifts the left leg while pushing the left hip into the platform, and maintains extension of the left knee. A right leg armature is rotatably connected to the platform with an axis of rotation of the right leg armature positioned at a prescribed distance from an axis of the person's right hip joint when the hips are secured to the platform. The right leg armature lifts the right leg while pushing the right hip into the platform, and maintains extension of the right knee.
Combined treatment and exercise apparatus
A combined treatment, exercise, and traction apparatus including a base coupled to a plurality of linkages, a support frame having a first end and opposing second end and pivotally coupled to the plurality of linkages, the support frame formed to pivot between a first orientation and a different second orientation, a treatment table having a first end and an opposing second end, the treatment table slidably mounted to the support frame, and a plurality of actuators coupled between the base and the plurality of linkages, wherein the treatment table slides between a first position and a second position along a plane of the support frame when a first actuator is activated.
Inversion Table for Supporting Pulmonary Function
An inversion table comprises a tabletop that tilts upon a frame from up to a vertical orientation to up to 90° below horizontal. Shoulder supports are oriented and located such that the top of a user's shoulders rest against the shoulder supports and the user's body weight is borne by their shoulders when the tabletop is tilted below horizontal. Ankle supports hold the user on the inversion table as the tabletop tilts.
Device for converting a bed, in particular a care bed, sick bed, hospital bed, or intensive-care bed, from a horizontal position into an inclined position with respect to the logitudinal sides of the bed
A configuration for moving a bed, in particular a care bed, sick bed, or intensive-care bed, from a horizontal position into an inclined position with respect to the longitudinal sides of the bed. A receiving device for receiving the bed and a stand device for ensuring a stable stand of the configuration are operatively connected via an adjusting mechanism which inclines the receiving device relative to the stand device. The verticalization process is decoupled from the respective existing bed and thus allows a large degree of flexibility for care personnel during a routine therapy session, allowing a safe and comfortable therapy for a patient confined to a bed. The configuration according to the invention is suitable for both a new installation as well as for retrofitting medical and/or care device equipment and advantageously saves on the otherwise necessary expenditures on beds with their own verticalization mechanism.
Distractive and mobility-enabling lumbar spinal orthosis devices, systems, and methods for treating mechanical low back pain
The present subject matter relates to orthotic devices, systems, and methods configured to support a lumbar spine. In some embodiments, a lumbar spinal orthosis system includes a torso belt configured to be secured about a torso of a user, a pelvic belt configured to be secured about a pelvis of the user, and a distractive force mechanism connected between the torso belt and the pelvic belt. The distractive force mechanism is configured to generate a force between the torso belt and the pelvic belt acting bi-directionally across a lumbar spine of the user to substantially offload bodyweight of the user passing through the lumbar spine.
VERTICALIZING TABLE EQUIPPED WITH MEANS OF MOBILIZATION OF THE LOWER LIMBS AND LIGHT SOURCES
Mobility rehabilitation device comprising a table, hinged to a support structure and respective actuator, configured to rotate said table between a horizontal and a vertical position, said table being provided with a harness configured to fasten a patient positioned thereon, said rehabilitation device comprising a lower limbs movement mechanism to make the patient's femur rotate with respect to the hip and a couple of feet movement platforms, said device comprising also a plurality of infrared light sources, positioned so that each light source lights up the muscles of a respective area of the patient's lower limbs, a control unit configured to control said lower limbs movement mechanism and said light sources and to manage an adjusting cycle of the intensity of said light sources in a differentiated manner for each of said sources, as a function of the movement cycle imposed by said lower limbs movement mechanism.
SPINE REGULARITY ROTATION MOTION DEVICE
A spine regularity rotation motion device includes a T-shaped hanger, a neck traction belt, an n-shaped base, and a horizontal rotary drive platform, wherein the T-shaped hanger is connected to the neck traction belt via a pulling belt at one end, and is connected to the n-shaped base through a main elevating post at another end. A user can rest his face on the neck traction belt, which is gently pulled upwards to increase the space between the cervical joints and align the spine to the center. The horizontal rotary drive platform is provided inside the n-shaped base with a correction seat on the top for the user to sit on. The seat allows the hip of the user to move in a regularity rotation manner that is opposite to the directions of the twisted and/or bent lumbar spine or skewed pelvis. An underarm support is also provided to raise the spine and reduce stacking to facilitate the rehabilitation process.
COMBINED TREATMENT AND EXERCISE APPARATUS
A combined treatment, exercise, and traction apparatus including a base, a support frame supported by the base and having a first end and an opposing second end, a treatment table mounted to the support frame and a first foot rest member frame and a second foot rest member frame, wherein the first foot rest member frame includes a first foot rest member, and wherein the second foot rest member frame includes a second foot rest member, wherein each foot rest member frame is pivotally coupled to the second end of the support frame, and wherein each of the first and second foot rest member frames are independently pivotable relative to the support frame between a first foot rest member frame position generally parallel to the support frame and a second foot rest member frame position generally perpendicular to the support frame.
Assist device
An assist device includes: a first harness to be fitted to at least one of a shoulder region and a breast region of a user; a second harness configured to be fitted to one of a leg region and a waist region, of the user; a belt body provided so as to extend to the first harness and to the second harness along a back side of the user; an actuator provided in one of the first harness and the second harness; and a controller performs operation control of the actuator. The actuator winds a part of the belt body and unwinds the part of the belt body. The controller performs the operation control of the actuator based on a posture change of the user.
