Provided are multilayer elastomer compositions such as multilayer films which possess the ability to self-repair upon puncturing. The multilayer elastomer compositions may be prepared from, for example, styrenic block copolymers and find use in the manufacture of thin walled articles, for example gloves, particularly medical or industrial gloves.

Disinfecting Gloves
20220061431 · 2022-03-03 ·

The sanitizing glove is built to not only provide the user with protection from external germs, but to sanitize the touched surfaces by use. On the front of the glove where the wearer's palm and fingers are behind the glove is attached a sanitizing surface akin to a disinfectant wipe. As the wearer of the glove interacts with objects such as handles, knobs, or buttons, the sanitizing liquid of the glove's front cleans the objects touched. This procedure protects not only the glove wearer from germs, but anyone else who interacts with the same objects soon after. Over time, the sanitizing liquid on the front of the glove may begin to dry or run down. It can be refreshed by use of a sanitizing spray.

A distal end of each of the pair of partial arm sleeves and the pair of partial leg pants has a first connector that includes a set of outward-facing ridges. The wetsuit further includes a pair of arm parts and a pair of leg parts. Each of the pair of arm parts and the pair of leg parts having a second connector at a proximal end for detachable connection with one of the first connectors of the torso part, each second connector including a set of inward-facing ridges. The wetsuit further includes a fastener system to maintain a connection between the first and second connectors.

HERMAN LEVEL (4) DISPOSABLE ANTIVIRAL AND ANTIBACTERIAL FULL HEAD AND SHOULDER HOOD
20210307416 · 2021-10-07 ·

The present invention relates to a lightweight comfortable disposable antiviral and antibacterial full head and shoulder hood designed to be pulled over the head of a person and used in conjunction with any N95 mask, surgical mask, paper mask or any other similar protective mask to cover the entire face, head and shoulder of the wearer to eliminate or reduce the rate of viral contamination. Which mask comprises a unitary shell of transparent plastic, or latex, or any similar nylon material. The hood has a cap portion with a two face eye piece opening for the wearing of any eye protection apparatus, and a voicemitter port opening to accommodate the wearing of the N95 mask or any similar protective device. It seals the opening around ear, and the nose and mouth area where the N95 mask or any similar mask is worn. When the hood is use, the ridge of the eye and nose vent is designed to trace the facial respiratory line, from the tip of the nose to midpoint between the ear and mouth, making the mask sturdy when been used, and maintaining the contour of the face depending on the size of the hood. The face plate as three elastic openings that elastically seals the eye opening of the wearer and any protective device used to cover the nose and mouth. The hood also has as a mesh opening around both area of the hears of the wearer head, to facilitate better hearing and provide for air venting of the hood. The collar portion of the hood extend down from the cap portion and includes a Velcro band to slightly adjust the constriction of the neck portion to adjust for proper fit. While the neck and shoulder cape portions projects down from the neck portion and includes a pair of underarm straps having a Velcro material for holding the cape portion in place when hood is been worn. Several Velcro mounds are attached to the collar portion and cape for securing the cape portion upward, when ventilation under the hood is needed.

Gloves Designed for Treatment of PTSD, Arthritis, and Other Hand/Wrist Pain

Device for Dynamic Fluid Pinning
20210251318 · 2021-08-19 ·

The present disclosure provides microstructured hydrophobic surfaces and devices for gripping wet deformable surfaces. The surfaces and devices disclosed herein utilize a split contact Wenzel-Cassie mechanism to develop multi-level Wenzel-Cassie structures. The Wenzel-Cassie structures are separated with a spatial period corresponding to at least one wrinkle eigenmode of a wet deformable surface to which the microstructure or device is designed to contact, allowing grip of the deformable surface without slippage. Microstructures of the present invention are specifically designed to prevent the formation of Shallamach waves when a shear force is applied to a deformable surface. The multi-level Wenzel-Cassie states of the present disclosure develop temporally, and accordingly are characterized by hierarchical fluid pinning, both in the instance of slippage, and more importantly in the instance of localization. This temporal aspect to the multi-level Wenzel-Cassie state delays or prevents the transition from a wrinkled eigenmode state in a deformable surface to a buckled state in a deformable surface.
