Spinal decompression head harness and method of use
An apparatus for providing sectional (cervical, thoracic and/or lumbar spine as individual parts) and global spinal (full-total spinal: cervical/thoracic/lumbar simultaneous as a single part) decompression including a head harness that has: a rigid member which extends into the mouth cavity of a user; and an attachment point located substantially at the same distance from the center of the skull as the end of the rigid member; wherein the rigid member comprises a U-shaped mouth guard, the u-shaped mouth guard contacting at least the rear most upper set of teeth during use; the attachment point is configured to attach to an external force providing apparatus; the attachment point is configured to provide a force in the direction of the user's height via the mouth guard. The location of the attachment point provides an optimal force vector when the device is pulled away from the head in a direction parallel with the user's height for medical applications associated with decompression of the spine. For comfort, positional placement and stability, a forehead pad and cranial straps may be provided.
Shoulder and/or knee physical therapy and range of motion device
A physical therapy device comprising a bench, having a seating surface and legs and a pair of horizontal supports positioned to either side of the knees of a person seated on the bench, a quick release securing device connected to each of the pair of supports, a rail connected to one of the quick release securing devices, a body pivotally attached to said rail, a foot rest attached to said rail and the foot rest and rail arranged to rotate with respect to said body about a pivot axis, the body having an adjustment mechanism to adjust the amount of force required to rotate the rail with respect to the body, wherein said body is repositionable between first and second positions, to provide physical therapy to the knee.
PORTABLE TRACTION DEVICE WITH SLING
A portable traction device can include a sling that is sized to cradle a user's head primarily at the back and lower part of the skull. The sling can be associated with flexible elastic tethers that are, in turn, associated with an anchor that is positioned a height above the floor when the portable traction device is in use. A tensile force vector between the anchor and the sling allows for cervical traction. The sling can additionally be associated with speakers and/or resonant actuators and can be simplified to increase portability and ease of use.
Anchored Self-Treating Trigger Point Apparatus
An anchored yet portable self-treating trigger point apparatus which can mount firmly over a doorway or similar surface. This unit has a simple adjustable anchor with three sides, and screw knobs on two opposing sides to fasten it in place. Facing outward from middle of anchor is a unit with four finger-like protuberances of which the recipient would angle against for trigger point relief. The protuberance unit can rotate 360 degrees to provide pressure from any angle.
SPINAL THERAPY DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
The invention herein pertains to a spinal therapy device, system and method of use, specifically for self-administrating spinal decompression. The invention pertains to a method of lifting the user's upper spinal column by an extension device hooked over the top edge of a door jamb or floating wall, positioned over the user's head while the user is in seated position. The device comprising a hook portion, a strap portion and a harness portion and may be disassembled for portability.
Stretching device
A stretching device that enables a user to employ the mechanical advantage of a multi-pulley system while performing various, prolonged muscle stretches; the stretching device including a first anchor assembly, a second anchor assembly, and a motion transfer line. The first motion transfer line has a first anchor body and a first motion transfer pulley; the first anchor body being attached to the user and the first motion transfer pulley being coupled to the first anchor body. Similarly, the second motion transfer line has a second anchor body and a second motion transfer pulley; the second anchor body being attached to a stationary object and the second motion transfer pulley being coupled to the second anchor body. The motion transfer line is terminally attached to the first anchor body and is trained around both the first motion transfer pulley and the second motion transfer pulley.
PORTABLE TRACTION DEVICE WITH SLING
A sling of a portable traction device cradles a user's head primarily at the back and lower part of the skull. The sling is attached to at least one shock cord. The at least one shock cords is also anchored to a structure, such as a closed door at the hinged side of the door, between the door and door frame, using an anchor, at a height, to generate a tension vector at an acute angle relative to the floor. The tension applies cervical traction.
Squeeze Roller for MyoFascial Release
A device for redirecting force to release tension in muscles and fascia in a body part.
Back Scratching Device
A back scratching device for scratching a user's back includes a back scratching unit which includes a scratching panel perpendicularly oriented with a pair of engaging panels. A door can be extended between the pair of engaging panels to facilitate a user to position their back against the scratching panel. A pair of engaging pads is bonded to a respective one of the engaging panels to frictionally engage the door for retaining the back scratching unit on the door. A plurality of nubs is each positioned on the back scratching unit to scratch the user's back when the user leans against the back scratching unit.
