Fuse recipe update mechanism

A computer platform is disclosed. The computer platform comprises a non-volatile memory to store fuse override data; and a system on chip (SOC), coupled to the non-volatile memory, including a fuse memory to store fuse data and security micro-controller to receive the fuse override data and perform a fuse override to overwrite the fuse data stored in the fuse memory with the fuse override data.

Memory device and method for using shared latch elements thereof
11495318 · 2022-11-08 · ·

The present disclosure provides memory devices and methods for using shared latch elements thereof. A memory device includes a substrate, an interposer disposed over the substrate, and a logic die and stacked memory dies disposed over the interposer. In the logic die, the test generation module performs a memory test operation for the memory device. The functional elements stores functional data in latch elements during a functional mode of the memory device. The repair analysis module determines memory test/repair data based on the memory test operation. The memory test/repair data comprises memory addresses of faulty memory storage locations of the memory device that are identified during the memory test operation. The repair analysis module configures the latch elements into a scan chain, accesses the memory test/repair data during the test mode of the memory device, and repairs the memory device using the memory test/repair data.

Configurable built-in self-repair chain for fast repair data loading

A scan network configured to transport repair information between memories and a controller for a non-volatile storage device comprises: repair registers coupled in parallel to repair information generation circuitry for one of the memories and segment selection devices that divide the repair registers into repair register segments. Each of the segment selection devices comprises: a storage element configured to store a segment selection bit and segment selection bit generation circuitry configured to generate the segment selection bit based on the repair information. Each of the segment selection devices is configurable to include or not include the corresponding repair register segment in a scan path of the scan network in a shift operation based on the segment selection bit.

A storage device includes a memory, a write circuit, a read circuit, and a debug information register. The memory includes a data area and a redundant area that corresponds to the data area. The write circuit writes first data specified in a write command to the data area, and first information about a transmission source which has transmitted the write command, to the redundant area. The read circuit reads the first data as second data from the data area, and reads the first information as second information from the redundant area, in response to a read command. The debug information register stores the second information read by the read circuit.

Embodiments of the disclosure are drawn to apparatuses and methods for soft post-package repair (SPPR). After packaging, it may be necessary to perform post-package repair operations on rows of the memory. During a scan mode of an SPPR operation, addresses provided by a fuse bank may be examined to determine if they are open addresses or if the bad row of memory is a redundant row of memory. The open addresses and the bad redundant addresses may be stored in volatile storage elements, such as in latch circuits. During a soft send mode of a SPPR operation, the address previously associated with the bad row of memory may be associated with the open address instead, and the address of the bad redundant row may be disabled.
