TAXI ROUTE GENERATOR

A method including displaying, in a graphical user interface (GUI) of a computer, a map of a plurality of airport taxiways. The method also includes receiving a start point on the map. The method also includes receiving an endpoint on the map. The method also includes generating, automatically, a path for an aircraft to take to navigate the plurality of taxiways from the start point to the endpoint. The method also includes superimposing the path on the map in the GUI.

Representing Traffic Along a Route

Some embodiments provide a mapping application that has a novel way of displaying traffic congestion along roads in the map. The mapping application in some embodiments defines a traffic congestion representation to run parallel to its corresponding road portion when the map is viewed at a particular zoom level, and defines a traffic congestion representation to be placed over its corresponding road portion when the map is viewed at another zoom level. The mapping application in some embodiments differentiates the appearance of the traffic congestion representation that signifies heavy traffic congestion from the appearance of the traffic congestion representation that signifies moderate traffic congestion. In some of these embodiments, the mapping application does not generate a traffic congestion representation for areas along a road that are not congested.

INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD

An information processing apparatus for providing information for a driver of a vehicle, the information processing apparatus comprises a controller configured to execute: receiving message data that includes a message to the driver of the vehicle; when receiving the message data, outputting the message on a display area provided on a screen; and changing a size of the display area where the message is outputted, based on whether the vehicle is traveling or not.

OPTIMIZING TRANSPORTATION NETWORKS THROUGH DYNAMIC USER INTERFACES

The present disclosure relates to providing a dynamic graphical user interface for efficiently presenting users with relevant ride information throughout the fulfilment of a ride request. In some embodiments, the system detects a trigger event during a ride, and based on detecting the trigger event, the system expands or collapses an information portion within a graphical user interface. When in a collapsed state, for example, the information portion of the graphical user interfaces includes a first set of content. Upon detecting a trigger event, the system dynamically expands the information portion to provide a second set of content that includes information associated with the detected trigger.

INFORMATION DISPLAY CONTROL DEVICE, INFORMATION DISPLAY CONTROL METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM ON WHICH PROGRAM IS RECORDED

An information display control device according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes: at least one memory configured to store instructions; and at least one processor configured to execute the instructions to: acquire vehicle information including positions in each section on roads through which each of a plurality of vehicles has passed and times at which each of a plurality of vehicles has traveled the positions; generate, for each section on the roads, a map indicating traffic records calculated based on the vehicle information including a position on the section in a different mode according to elapsed time from a latest time included in the vehicle information including a position on the section; and cause a display means to display the map.

DYNAMIC DISPLAY OF MARKERS ON AN ELECTRONIC MAP

Techniques for improving the display of markers on a map include pre-computing cells for multiple locations on the map and associating points of interest with the pre-computed cells. In response to a request from a user device to display points of interest for a particular location, stored data specifying the pre-computed cells for the particular location is accessed and, for each of the cells, a point of interest is selected from the points of interests associated with that cell. The user device is caused to display the map with a marker in each of the cells for the selected point of interest.

INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE

[Problem]

To display the current location of a user appropriately on a deformed map.

[Means for Resolution]

An information processing device, comprising: a measuring unit for measuring location information for a current location; a mapping processing unit for converting the location information for the current location into first map coordinates in a first map, for a navigation application, that includes the current location, and for using a conversion table to convert the first map coordinates into second map coordinates in a second map wherein the first map has been abstracted; and a display controlling unit for displaying, on a display, the second map, on which has been placed, at the second map coordinates, a mark that indicates the current location, wherein: the second map coordinates in a second coordinate system with the same scale as the first coordinate system, provided in the second map, are recorded in the conversion table in correspondence with the first map coordinates of the first coordinate system that are provided in the first map.

Mapping application with transit mode

Some embodiments provide a mapping application that displays a transit map including a group of transit lines. The mapping application receives a request to display a transit route in the transit map. The mapping application also, in response to the received request, displays the transit route by modifying portions of transit lines along the route to emphasize the portions of the transit lines while modifying other transit lines not along the route to de-emphasize the transit lines not along the route.

Application and system providing indoor searching of a venue

In some implementations, a computing device can provide a map application providing a representation of a physical structure of venues (e.g., shopping centers, airports) identified by the application. The application can provide an inside view of the venue, which is accessible by other applications and programs on the user's device. Thus, whether intended or not, search results that are identified by the map application as having an inside view of the venue are also presented on a graphical user interface along with typical search results from the other applications.
