Map display system and map display program
There is provided a technique that can appropriately display route icons. A map display system includes a display section obtaining part that obtains display sections each being a section of a route to be displayed on a map; a connecting point obtaining part that obtains a connecting point, the connecting point being a point where different routes are connected together on the display sections; and a map display part that displays at least one route icon for each split section, the route icon being an image associated with a route, and the split section being obtained by splitting each of the display sections by the connecting point.
Surface detection for micromobility vehicles
Various implementations include approaches for training a surface detection classifier and detecting characteristics of a surface, along with related micromobility vehicles. Certain implementations include a method including: comparing: i) detected movement of a micromobility (MM) vehicle or a device located with a user at the MM vehicle while operating the MM vehicle, with ii) a surface detection classifier for the MM vehicle; and in response to detecting that the MM vehicle is traveling on a restricted surface type for a threshold period, performing at least one of: a) notifying an operator of the MM vehicle about the travel on the restricted surface type, b) outputting a warning at an interface connected with the MM vehicle or the device, c) limiting a speed of the MM vehicle, or d) disabling operation of the MM vehicle.
Parking area mapping using image-stream derived vehicle description and space information
In certain embodiments, a vehicle may obtain a video stream via a camera system of the vehicle. The video stream may be processed to extract one or more feature vectors from the video stream. Based on the feature vectors extracted from the video stream, vehicle description information related to one or more parked vehicles in the parking area may be determined. Space information indicating locations of the parked vehicles relative to available parking spaces in the parking area may also be determined based on the feature vectors extracted from the video stream. A mapping of the parking area may then be generated based on the vehicle description information and the space information.
VIEWING, MODIFYING, AND/OR CREATING ROUTES
Computer program products, methods, systems, apparatus, and computing entities are provided for creating, modifying, and viewing geographic areas and their corresponding routes and items of work. For example, an interface can be provided with a map display area and a route display area. The map display area and the route display area can be synchronized to create new routes, modify existing routes, and/or view information about various routes and/or items of work.
Determining changes in marker setups for robot localization
Embodiments are provided that include maintaining a map of a plurality of markers in an environment. The map includes a last detection time of each marker of the plurality of markers. The embodiments also include receiving a set of detected markers from a robotic device that is configured to localize in the environment using the plurality of markers. The embodiments further include updating, in the map, the last detection time of each marker which has a mapped position that corresponds to a detected position of a detected marker in the set of detected markers. The embodiments additionally include identifying, from the plurality of markers in the map, a marker having a last detection time older than a threshold amount of time. The embodiments still further include initiating an action related to the identified marker.
Mobile search based on predicted location
A method includes receiving one or more search terms at a mobile computing device while the mobile computing device is located at a particular location. A search query that includes the one or more search terms and a location history of the mobile computing device is transmitted to a server. The method also includes receiving one or more search results in response to the search query, where the one or more search results include content identified based on a predicted destination of the mobile computing device. An interface identifying the one or more search results is displayed at the mobile computing device.
Systems and methods for the classification of geographic locations based on vehicle trip logs
A system and method for the classification of geographic locations based on vehicle trip logs, including: grouping a plurality of trip records by vehicle, wherein the plurality of trip records include start times and locations and stop times and locations; sorting the plurality of trip records for a vehicle in one of descending or ascending order with respect to stop times; calculating a plurality of time differences between consecutive trips of the plurality of trip records; storing the plurality of time differences in a stop time array; for a first plurality of time differences, storing the associated stop locations in a first location array; for a second plurality of stop times, storing the associated stop locations in a second location array; and computing a time difference median for each of the first location array and the second location array and returning the time difference medians as results for each location.
Providing video of space to calibrate user location relative to desired destination
A user can access live or historic video feeds of the location he is in and input a desired destination, and the video feeds show the surroundings and indicate a route to the destination, changing as the user moves toward the destination.
Method for displaying points of interest on a digital map
A method for displaying points of interest on a digital map on a display, each point of interest being assigned at least one category and the space in front of the display being segmented into spatial regions where each spatial region is assigned a category. The method includes detecting the position of a hand of a user or part of the hand of the user by sensors, more particularly by cameras, identifying the spatial region in which the position of the hand or the part of the hand lies, identifying the category assigned to the identified spatial region, and displaying or highlighting the points of interest that have been assigned to the identified category.
Method and apparatus for displaying road names, and storage medium
A method and apparatus for displaying road names and a storage medium, the method comprises: performing collision detecting on and loading planned road names according to planned road name data and priority levels of the planned road names included in a navigation route; and performing collision detecting on and loading annotations of other map contents except the navigation route in a navigation map. The method and apparatus for displaying road names and the storage medium are used to enable a user to view the planned road names of the navigation route on an overview page of the navigational route, thereby improving guidance of map display for navigation.
