MAP PRESENTATION SYSTEM AND NAVIGATION SYSTEM
20170308268 · 2017-10-26 · ·

A navigation screen generator displays only icons of objects of an object category set as “DISPLAY” in an icon presentation control table on a map image. If a touch occurs at a position on the map image of the navigation screen where no icon is displayed, a controller sets the object category of the object corresponding to the touch position as “DISPLAY” in an icon presentation control table. Then, icons of the objects having the same object category as that of the object corresponding to touch position are displayed on the map image of the navigation screen.

LANDMARK DETERMINATION

According to embodiments of the present invention, a method, a device and a computer program product for landmark determination are proposed. In the method, a plurality of objects are identified from a plurality of video clips. The plurality of video clips are respectively captured by a plurality of cameras monitoring a geographical area. At least one of uniqueness levels and expected appearance probabilities of each of the plurality of objects in the plurality of video clips are determined. At least one of the plurality of objects is determined to be a landmark of the geographical area based on the at least one of the uniqueness levels and the expected appearance probabilities. In this way, the landmark can be determined accurately and dynamically.

REST STOP RECOMMENDATION SYSTEM

In one embodiment, a rest stop recommendation system monitors driving behavior of a driver and stores information indicating the driving behavior as historical data, determines, based at least in part on the historical data, a driver tiredness state, a continuous driving length preference, and a refueling pattern preference, determines a time to recommend a rest stop based at least in part on the driver tiredness state, the continuous driving length preference, and the refueling pattern preference, extracts, from a map database, a plurality of rest stops within a predetermined radius of a position of the vehicle, determines rest stop characteristic preferences based at least in part on the historical data, selects one or more potential rest stops from among the plurality of rest stops based at least in part on the rest stop characteristic preferences, and presents the one or more potential rest stops to the driver in a recommendation.

CHARGING STATION GUIDE APPARATUS AND METHOD OF THE SAME

The present disclosure provides charging station guide apparatus and method. The charging station guide apparatus includes: a global positioning system (GPS) receiving a GPS signal transmitted from a GPS satellite; a storage unit storing charging station information including map information and charging station position information; a control unit generating a first display window including a vehicle object representing vehicle position information and a charging station position object representing charging station position information based on the GPS signal, the map information, and the charging station information, generating a second display window including a charging station distance object representing charging station distance information, and also generating an image so that the second display window overlaps with one end of the first display window; and a display unit displaying an image generated from the control unit.

A navigation method, a navigation terminal, and a server is disclosed. The method in the embodiments of the present disclosure includes: obtaining, by a navigation terminal, first navigation information; generating, by the navigation terminal, a first navigation route according to the first navigation information; sending, by the navigation terminal, information about the first navigation route to a server; receiving, by the navigation terminal, second navigation information sent by the server, where the second navigation information includes a real-time route parameter of the first navigation route; and when the real-time route parameter of the first navigation route satisfies a preset condition, effectuating, by the navigation terminal, a navigation window to pop up or automatically adjusting content presented in a navigation window.

Systems and methods for generating electronic map displays with points-of-interest information based on reference locations
09791292 · 2017-10-17 · ·

Methods and systems are provided for generating an electronic map display. In one implementation, a method is provided for receiving route information associated with a route having an origination point and a destination point, determining a location of a reference point along the route, assigning a spatial identifier to the reference point, searching for points of interest (POIs) in a search area associated with the spatial identifier, ranking, using a processor, the POIs based on distances of POIs from the location of the reference point, and providing POI information for an electronic map display, wherein the POI information is associated with one or more POIs and selected based on the ranking of the POIs.

Method for providing location-based service and electronic device therefor

An atlas application enables an electronic display device to receive touch input from a user on a screen of the display device to access an atlas database to obtain graphic map information representative of a portion of the surface of the earth and to display the obtained graphic map information on the screen of the display as a graphic map showing a plurality of points of interest on the portion of the surface of the earth. The user is able to manipulate the graphic map by touch to locate and select a particular point of interest for detailed examination. The atlas data may contain at least one of descriptive textual information and graphic map information representative of particular points of interest selected by the user. A position of the device may be selected or determined to assist in presenting various points of interest for perusal.

EXHIBITION INFORMATION PRESENTATION METHOD AND SYSTEM

An exhibition information presentation method includes acquiring an exhibition information presentation activation operation inputted by a first user, the exhibition information presentation activation operation being associated with product information currently browsed or searched by a second user; and displaying exhibition information or an exhibition information link item corresponding to the product information at a preset first position, where the exhibition information link item is used for acquiring a link operation inputted by the first user to open a corresponding exhibition information presentation page. In this way, product presentation is combined with exhibition information presentation, and a user can instantly know information about an exhibition in which a product participates when browsing or searching for the product, thus expanding the coverage of exhibition information of the product, expanding a channel of communications between the user and a merchant, and improving the efficiency of communications between the user and the merchant.

Generating positions of map items for placement on a virtual map

This specification describes a system for generating positions of map items such as buildings, for placement on a virtual map. The system comprises: at least one processor; and a non-transitory computer-readable medium including executable instructions that when executed by the at least one processor cause the at least one processor to perform at least the following operations: receiving an input at a generator neural network trained for generating map item positions; generating, with the generator neural network, a probability of placing a map item for each subregion of a plurality of subregions of the region of the virtual map; and generating position data of map items for placement on the virtual map using the probability for each subregion. The input to the generator neural network comprises: map data comprising one or more channels of position information for at least a region of the virtual map, said one or more channels including at least one channel comprising road position information for the region; and a latent vector encoding a selection of a placement configuration.
