Location display systems, methods, and programs acquire guide location information and display a map including the guide locations, as viewed from a reference eyepoint. When a first one of the guide locations and a second one of the guide locations are not close to each other by a predetermined reference distance or shorter, the systems, methods, and programs set guide icons such that, between an icon of a first guide location and an icon of a second guide location, the icon of the guide location closer to the reference eyepoint is displayed preferentially. When the first guide location and the second guide location are close to each other by the predetermined reference distance or shorter, the systems, methods, and programs set the guide icons such that the icon of the guide location having a higher order of precedence in preset preference rules is displayed preferentially.

Methods and systems for automatically providing point of interest information based on user interaction

Computer implemented methods are disclosed for providing to a user, geographical mapping information relating to a trip from a start location to a destination location. The method includes receiving user input data including at least the destination location, determining a distance between the start location and the destination is equal to or above a pre-determined threshold, and generating and displaying a route from the start location to the destination location on an electronic map based on the user input data. The route may include a pin that is movable by the user along the route. The location of the pin may be received and a snap location along the route closest to the drop location may be calculated. The method may include animating movement of the pin from the drop location to snap location, and displaying the geographical mapping information based on the snap location.

An earth positioning system (EPS) is provided. The EPS includes a plurality of fixed LED lights with communication functions and a mobile communications device. A cloud computer and at least one map marked with world coordinates of the fixed LED lights may be further included. The LED light includes a substrate, at least one LED die, a power supply, a wireless communication module, a control unit and a housing. The LED lights may be arranged in indoor and outdoor environments, with coordinates represented in longitude, latitude and altitude. The coordinates are included in a map data of the cloud computer. When the mobile communication device moves with its carrier, the world coordinates of the mobile communication device can be located based on the coordinates of the LED lights nearby or based on the unique IDs of the LED lights together with the aforementioned map.

AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE AUGMENTED REALITY DISPLAY FOR DISPLAYING CONTEXTUAL INFORMATION

The present technology is effective to cause at least one processor to determine that a vehicle is within a threshold distance from a point of interest, determine details about the point of interest, and present the details about the point of interest. The vehicle may be characterized by having the ability to take any route to a destination requested by a passenger and to travel to the destination at any speed that is appropriate for road and traffic conditions. The details about the point of interest to present may be based upon a location and a speed of the vehicle.

Method and system for saving and retrieving spatial related information

The present invention is directed to a method and apparatus for storing, referencing, retrieving, and graphically displaying spatial and non-spatial related information of a mobile computing device, such as a laptop computer or a cellular telephone. The spatial-related information may be obtained by using positioning tracking systems such as a global positioning system, whereas the non-spatial related information may include communication activities associated with the mobile computing device, such as phone calls, e-mails, text messages, pages, etc. The present invention also provides methods and apparatus of sharing event information between mobile communication devices as well as related navigational information for traveling to an event from a real-time position of a mobile communication device.

VEHICULAR DRIVER MONITORING SYSTEM

A vehicular driver monitoring system includes an interior electrochromic rearview mirror assembly and a camera disposed at the interior electrochromic rearview mirror assembly behind and viewing through an electrochromic mirror reflective element into the interior cabin of the vehicle. Supplemental sources of near infrared illumination are integrated into the mirror assembly that, when powered to emit near infrared light, illuminate at least a front seating area within the interior cabin of the vehicle. Presence of the camera is not readily apparent to an occupant sitting in the interior cabin of the vehicle. The interior electrochromic rearview mirror assembly includes a processor that processes image data captured by the camera. The camera at least views a driver-side front seating area of the vehicle and, via processing at the processor of image data captured by the camera, the driver seated at the driver-side front seating area is monitored.

Navigation system for vehicle, navigation method thereof, user terminal and information providing method thereof

A navigation method includes receiving additional information satisfying a condition based on a current position of the user terminal, and indicating a position corresponding to the additional information on a navigation map.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING CONTENT TO USER

Provided are an electronic device and method for displaying content. The content corresponds to a point of interest (POI) of a user and is adaptive to the user. The content is acquired based on a user input with regard to the POI, which is displayed.

BEHAVIOR TRACKING AND MODIFICATION USING MOBILE AUGMENTED REALITY

Examples relate to behavior tracking and modification using mobile augmented reality. In some examples, a navigation request for a route to a destination location is received from a user, and a data stream associated with the user is obtained. A first waypoint is identified based on the data stream and first waypoint metadata of a number of waypoint metadata that each include recognition cues for identifying a corresponding waypoint. An orientation of the user is determined based on the data stream and the recognition cues in the first waypoint metadata. A second waypoint is determined based on the characteristics in second waypoint metadata, and a guidance overlay is generated for display to the user based on the orientation, where the guidance overlay specifies a direction and a distance to the second waypoint.

Map information transmission device for transmitting objects for display superimposed on map, map display device, and method

A map information transmission device includes: a dividing unit configured to divide a region of a map into a plurality of sub regions based on superimposition positions at which a plurality of objects are to be displayed superimposed on the map, the dividing unit performing the division such that a number of objects included in each of the sub regions is a predetermined number or lower; a unit configured to generate, for each of the sub regions, a merged image that includes objects included in a sub region; a unit configured to generate, for each of the sub regions, display code that includes clipping information that designates a clipping region of the merged image that corresponds to the sub region; and a unit configured to transmit the merged image and the display code to a map display device.
