Map on a phone used to find and operate public multi-user devices
A phone display, shows an internet map. The map allows a user to search for, and operate, multiuser public devices, such as, a hydrogen car fuelling station. The user finds the device, by viewing the device's location, and the phone's location on the map. For example, the phone searches for, and finds elevators, which are shown on the map. The user finds an elevator, by using the map. The user touches the elevator's displayed menu, to receive the elevator's menu's control panel. The received control panel, is displayed on the phone. The user requests the elevator move to the 4 floor, by touch activating a floor 4 icon, on the phone elevator panel. The phone, and elevator computer communicate, over the internet wirelessly, or wirelessly. The user avoids bacteria, that may be on a store's self serve check out machine's physical touch screen, by operating it with the phone.
Augmented Reality Based Point of Interest Guide Device and Method
An embodiment augmented reality (AR)-based point of interest (POI) guide method includes performing a plane detection with respect to an actual image in an area around a POI, forming a grid in the area where the plane detection of the actual image is performed, and displaying an anchor and a highlight at a position of the POI based on the grid.
Using major route decision points to select traffic cameras for display
Techniques enable selection of traffic cameras for display to a user, where the techniques involve determining a primary route and an alternate route, determining a first intersection between the primary route and the alternate route, and obtaining camera metadata identifying multiple cameras, where the camera metadata defines aspects such as positioning data, direction, status data, and image data for individual traffic cameras. The techniques also involve determining a priority score for individual cameras using the camera metadata, where the priority score is based, at least in part, on proximity to the first intersection between the primary route and the alternate route. The techniques then involve selecting at least one traffic camera based on the priority score of the camera and communicating image data of the camera for display on a display device.
Dynamic resource allocation engine
Systems, computer program products, and methods are described herein for dynamic resource allocation based on vehicle route selection. The present invention is configured to receive an origin and a destination for a user; determine travel routes for the user; determine resource distribution entities along the one or more travel routes; determine resources associated with the resource distribution entities; display the travel routes, the resource distribution entities along each of the travel routes, and the resources associated with each of the resource distribution entities; receive a user selection of at least one of the travel routes; and distribute the resources to the computing device of the user along the at least one of the one or more travel routes selected by the user.
Apparatus and method for dynamic navigation of a selected geographical zone
There is provided a handheld device for navigating about a selected geographical zone. The handheld navigating device includes a processor circuit with a screen on which an image representative of a geographical map of a selected geographical zone is displayed. The geographical map of the selected geographical zone includes representations corresponding respectively with points of interest having locations and categories. The geographical map is configured so that (a) at least part of the representations corresponding respectively with points of interest are clustered within at least one viewing area, (b) the at least one viewing area is distinguished by a visible pattern having both a selected appearance and a first visual state that do not reveal the locations and the categories of the points of interest. The handheld navigation device includes a geographical position locating subsystem for determining when a selected relationship exists between the user and one or more of the points of interest. Responsive to the selected relationship existing, the processor circuit changes the appearance of at least part of the visible pattern to both reflect that the at least one viewing area has been transformed from the first visual state to a second visual state and the extent to which the user has traversed the physical area.
Method and device for electric vehicle navigation based on battery profile and route characteristics
Embodiments include methods, for a wireless device, to determine one or more preferred routes for an electric vehicle powered by a battery. Such methods include determining multiple candidate routes from a starting point to a destination. Each candidate route includes one or more segments, each segment associated with a slope and a distance. Such methods include, for each candidate route, estimating a route battery discharge amount and a route duration of travel based on a discharge profile for the battery and the slopes and distances associated with the segments of the candidate route. Such methods include selecting one or more preferred routes, from the candidate routes, based on a current state of charge for the battery, the route battery discharge amounts, and the route durations of travel. Other embodiments include wireless devices configured to perform such methods, and electric vehicles operably coupled to such wireless devices.
User interfaces for reporting incidents
In some embodiments, an electronic device displays user interfaces for viewing information about and/or for reporting information about incidents of different types associated with a (e.g., physical) location.
Method for displaying point of information of map, device, and readable storage medium
The disclosure discloses a method for displaying a point of information of a map, a device, and a storage medium. The detailed implementation includes: obtaining a display position of a target point of information (POI) to be displayed; on a target electronic map displayed at a preset scale, determining a position relationship between the display position of the target POI and an influence region of each POI located in the target electronic map; and displaying information of the target POI at the display position of the target electronic map in response to the display position of the target POI being located outside the influence region of each POI in the target electronic map. With the technical solution of the disclosure, when the POI is displayed, the display efficiency and the intelligence degree are improved, the POI overlapping with its surrounding POIs is improved, and the overall display effect is ensured.
BOAT SHARING SYSTEM
A boat sharing system includes a non-transitory computer readable memory for receiving and storing data for routes previously traveled. The route data includes starting and ending points and points of interest along the routes. The memory receives and stores data related to boat types, equipment for boating activities and boat drivers. A processing system accesses the memory and is configured to: display the stored data; receive and store route data and trip timing, boat type, equipment, boat driver requirements and activity desires for a present user; compare the present user's desired route, timing, activity, equipment and boat driver requirements with previously stored data. The system provides at least one previously stored set of route, boat, activity, equipment and operator data as an option for the present user; provides proposed timing, starting and ending points for the suggested route; and permits the present user to confirm selection of the suggested route.
TOUR GUIDE MODE USER INTERFACE AND EXPERIENCE
Disclosed embodiments include systems, vehicles, and methods to present an option to visit an attraction and to present information about the attraction. In an illustrative embodiment, a computing system operates according to instructions that cause the computing system to: monitor a position of the computing system; present via a visual interface a map including at least one first route; identify via the visual interface at least one attraction situated within a range of the at least one first route; in response to a request to add a visit to the at least one attraction, determine at least one second route from the position to the at least one attraction; present the at least one second route on the map; generate navigational information according to the at least one second route; and when within a predetermined vicinity of the at least one attraction, present information about the at least one attraction.
