HEAVY CRADLE FOR REPLACEABLE CORIOLIS FLOW SENSORS
Embodiments relate to a flow process system comprising a cradle and a locking mechanism. The cradle has a mounting structure for a Coriolis flow sensor, and the cradle has significantly more mass than the Coriolis flow sensor. The locking mechanism is used to lock and unlock Coriolis flow sensors in place on the mounting structure. The locking mechanism produces sufficient locking force when locked that the Coriolis flow sensor and cradle vibrate as a unitary body. In this way, the Coriolis flow sensor has effectively more mass when used as part of the flow process system, but Coriolis flow sensors may be easily replaced by unlocking the locking mechanism, removing the current Coriolis flow sensor and replacing it with another.
METHOD FOR GENERATING A DIAGNOSTIC FROM A DEVIATION OF A FLOW METER PARAMETER
A method for detecting a deviation in a flow meter parameter is provided. The method includes measuring a flow tube temperature in a plurality of locations; and calculating a temperature gradient based on the measured temperatures. The method also includes detecting a deviation in the flow meter parameter if the calculated temperature gradient exceeds a temperature gradient threshold.
Multichannel flow tube with supports
A multichannel flow tube (300) for a vibratory meter (5), and a method of manufacturing the multichannel flow tube are provided. The multichannel flow tube comprises a tube perimeter wall (304), a first channel division (302b), and a first support structure (308a). The first channel division is enclosed within and coupled to the tube perimeter wall, forming a first channel (306b) and a second channel (306c). The first support structure is coupled to the tube perimeter wall and the first channel division.
STABILIZED MODE SPLITTING FIN SENSOR
An embodiment of a fin sensor is disclosed. The embodiment of the fin sensor has a base, the base coupled to a first fin and a second fin, the fin sensor further having at least two transducers coupled to the fins, the first fin being coupled to the second fin by at least one fin coupler.
MEASUREMENT TUBE OF A CORIOLIS SENSING ELEMENT, CORIOLIS SENSING ELEMENT, AND CORIOLIS METER
A measurement tube of a Coriolis sensing element for measuring a density and a mass flow rate of a medium flowing through a measurement tube includes a measurement tube wall and a measurement tube lumen, characterized in that the measurement tube wall has a sintered ceramic material or is produced from a sintered ceramic material.
Method for generating a diagnostic from a deviation of a flow meter parameter
A method for detecting a deviation in a flow meter parameter is provided. The method includes measuring a differential pressure across at least a portion of the flow meter, calculating a friction factor based on a measured flow rate and the measured differential pressure. The method also includes comparing the calculated friction factor to an expected friction factor based on the measured flow rate and detecting a deviation in the flow meter parameter if the difference between the calculated friction factor and the expected friction factor exceeds a threshold limit.
Coriolis mass flow meter
A coriolis mass flow meter, including: a housing body, having a flow inlet and flow outlet for a fluid medium, two measurement tubes, which are spaced apart from each other fastened to the housing body connecting the flow inlet and the flow outlet to each other, at least one electrically controllable vibration exciter for each measurement tube (23, 24), the vibration exciter being designed to cause the measurement tube to vibrate, and at least two electrically controllable vibration sensors, the vibration sensors being designed to sense the vibration of at least one of the two measurement tubes. The vibration exciter vibration sensors are spatially fixedly fastened to the housing body between the two measurement tubes and are designed as electromagnetic coils. Each coil interacts with a permanent magnet fastened to one of the measurement tubes. The permanent magnets are oriented in such a way that permanent magnets attract each other.
Vibratory meter with pointed flow tube
A vibratory meter (5), and methods of manufacturing the same are provided. The vibratory meter includes a pickoff, a driver, and a flow tube (700) comprising a tube perimeter wall with: a first substantially planar section (706a), a second substantially planar section (706b) coupled to the first substantially planar section to form a first angle θ.sub.1 (704), a third substantially planar section (706c), a fourth substantially planar section (706d), and a fifth substantially planar section (706e).
Dual Tube Hybrid Coriolis Mass Flow Sensor
A sensor with both Coriolis tube and thermal tube is used to measure the mass flow rate of the fluid using both the Coriolis principle and the thermal method simultaneously. Above certain flow rate, the flow rate is measured by the Coriolis tube and below that flow rate, it is measured by the thermal tube. The Coriolis tube and the thermal tube are arranged parallelly with the common inlet and outlet. Two resistant coils are wound on the thermal tube to do the thermal measurement and a magnetic disk is attached to the Coriolis tube, work together with an excitation coil and two optical sensors to do the Coriolis flow measurement. It takes the advantages of both technologies and create a flow sensor which is super accurate, gas type insensitive, long-term stable and fast responsive without too much pressure drop.

An apparatus having a shaft, a bearing sleeve for rotatably supporting the shaft, a housing, in which at least one part of the bearing sleeve is arranged, and a sealing element, which seals a gap between a wall of the housing and the bearing sleeve. The sealing element divides the gap gas-tight into a first partial space adjacent to the front side of the sealing element and a second partial space adjacent to the back side of the sealing element, the sealing element having a flexible part, which is in contact with the wall of the housing and/or the bearing sleeve, and the housing having a first barrier gas inlet for introducing barrier gas into the first partial space as well as a second barrier gas inlet for introducing barrier gas into the second partial space.
