A somatosensation and proprioceptor stimulation surface configured to stimulate rapid-firing nerves in the receptive field of a user's glabrous skin. The somatorsensation and proprioceptor stimulation surface includes a plurality of protuberances disposed thereupon, each protuberance sized and spaced apart appropriately to impress the receptive field when pressed in contact with the glabrous skin of the user. Each protuberance widens from an apex toward a base whereby increased pressure applied to the surface increases an area of contact and stimulation by applying stimulation over a larger area of skin. The protuberances are spaced apart to maximize stimulation of rapid firing nerves while lessening overstimulation. The somatosensation and proprioceptor stimulation surface is rendered in the form of a mat or floor covering and alternatively as an insole for wear in a user's shoes.

The method comprises receiving attribute data associated with a user. The attribute data comprises one or more symptoms associated with the user. The method also comprises, while the user uses a treatment apparatus to perform a first treatment plan for the user, receiving measurement data associated with the user. The method further comprises generating, by the artificial intelligence engine configured to use one or more machine learning models, a second treatment plan for the user. The generating is based on at least the attribute data associated with the user and the measurement data associated with the user. The second treatment plan comprises a description of one or more predicted disease states of the user. The method also comprises transmitting, to a computing device, the second treatment plan for the user.

A mobility system includes a wheeled base, an exoskeleton assembly, and a docking assembly arranged to support the exoskeleton assembly on the wheeled base. The exoskeleton assembly has an upper torso portion, upper leg portions pivotal relative to the torso portion and lower leg portions pivotal relative to respective ones of the upper leg portions. The docking assembly is operable to couple the exoskeleton assembly to the wheeled base in a sitting position. The seating surface in the sitting position and the position control motors for operating the exoskeleton from sitting to standing are all separable from the wheeled base together with the exoskeleton assembly. Alternatively, extensible links may dock the standing exoskeleton to the wheeled base so that the base can trail the exoskeleton through a walking motion.
Method and navigation system for assisting a visually impaired user to safely walk around obstructions and impediments
A computer-implemented method and a navigation system are described for guiding a visually impaired user to avoid obstructions and impediments while walking. The user may wear a plurality of subassemblies of the system. The tilt and rotation of the user's head may be monitored using one of the subassemblies worn on the user's head. Based at least in part on the tilt and rotation of the user's head, vertical and horizontal firing angles used by a distance measuring unit in each of the subassemblies may be calculated to transmit and receive laser signals to perform measurements. The user is then provided with navigation instructions and alarms based on whether an obstruction or an impediment is detected that is closer than a predetermined distance to the user while the user is walking based on the measurements.
Device, system and method for facilitating breathing via simulation of limb movement
A device, system and method for increasing air intake by a subject is described. The device includes a vibration motor and a control unit for controlling vibrational motion output by the vibration motor. The methods include positioning the vibration motor on one or more limbs of a subject, and stimulating nerves in the limbs via the generated vibrational motion, whereby the stimulated nerve signals the brain to increase breathing rate or air intake by the subject. Accordingly, embodiments of the device activate nerve fibers that carry kinesthetic cues from the limbs in a pattern that simulates normal limb motion, and thus triggers inherent reflexes that increase ventilation in response to such motion.
