Upper torso wearable orthotic device with dynamic leveling system
An upper torso orthotic device having multiple adjustment mechanisms configured to enable adaptation to a wide variety of body shapes, sizes and augmentation needs. The upper torso orthotic device including a body worn support frame member configured to dynamically distribute a weight of the upper torso orthotic device across the chest, shoulder and back of a user, and a limb augmentation member configured to augment a native strength of an arm of the user by overcoming the effects of gravity, the limb augmentation member including an adjustable shoulder assembly including at least one of a leveling mechanism, a clavicle retraction/protraction angle adjustment mechanism, a shoulder abduction angle adjustment mechanism, and a shoulder width adjustment mechanism.
NON-INVASIVE PULSATILE DEVICE FOR CIRCULATORY ASSISTANCE
The non-invasive pulsatile circulatory support device intended to promote circulation of a blood volume in at least a part (Z) of a subject's body, the device including a flexible structure, arranged so as to be applied on at least the part of the subject's body, including a series of paired adjacent pouches extending along one another; and means for generating a physiologically synchronised pulsation fluidically connected to the flexible structure in a leak-tight manner and arranged so as to create pulsation waves in the series of pouches between the inner and outer layers, one of the paired adjacent pouches at least partially covering the other of the paired adjacent pouches (scaled structure).
VIBRATION-GENERATING DEVICE
A piezoelectric band (10) includes: a base sheet (11) that has flexibility and is formed into a sheet shape; a piezoelectric sheet (20) that has flexibility and is formed into a sheet shape and placed over one side of the base sheet (11); and a cover sheet (12) that has flexibility and is formed into a sheet shape and placed over and in contact with one side of the piezoelectric sheet (20) that faces away from the base sheet (11). Upon reception of a drive signal, the piezoelectric sheet (20) vibrates at or above a frequency of 15 kHz. The cover sheet (12) has a plurality of holes (12a) passing therethrough from one side facing the piezoelectric sheet (20) to the other side, and the plurality of holes (12a) forms respectively air layers through which vibration of the piezoelectric sheet (20) propagates toward the other side.
FOOT FLEXURE DEVICE
A foot flexure device is provided. The foot flexure device includes a foot plate configured to be positioned under a user's foot and a support element configured to be worn on a user's upper leg. A first adjustable strap is attached to a first lateral side of the foot plate and the support element, and a second adjustable strap is attached to a second lateral side of the foot plate and the support element. A first length of the first adjustable strap and a second length of the second adjustable strap can be adjustable to provide for dorsiflexion, eversion, and/or inversion of the user's foot.
SUPPORTER HAVING BISTABLE SPRING, AND EXERCISE ASSISTANCE APPARATUS INCLUDING SAME
A supporter for a wearable exercise apparatus may include a main body; a pair of main frames connected to the main body; a pair of straps connected to the pair of main frames, respectively; and a bistable spring which is provided inside each of the pair of the straps and maintained in one of two stable states by a restoring force. The two stable states include a first stable state in which the bistable spring has a shape extending straight along the longitudinal direction and a second stable state in which the bistable spring has a shape that is bent once. The shape of the strap may be determined according to the shape of the bistable spring.
WEARING MODULE AND MOTION ASSISTANCE DEVICE COMPRISING SAME
A wearable module, for a wearable device, may include: a cover comprising a cover body and a cover hole penetratingly formed in the cover body; a support part including a support body made from a material that is more flexible than that of the cover, a support head that is connected to the support body and that can be attached/detached to/from the cover body, and an attachment part, which is connected to the support body, is positioned on the opposite side of the support head with respect to the support body, and passes through the cover hole to be attached to the outer surface of the support body; and an elastic layer of which a portion is fixed to the support part and which can move relative to the cover.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR TISSUE TREATMENT USING MECHANICAL STIMULATION AND ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD
Devices and methods for tissue treatment produce a mechanical stimulation therapy and electromagnetic field therapy. The mechanical stimulation therapy provides stimulation of blood circulation and stimulates treated cells. The electromagnetic field enables thermal treatment of tissue. Combination of both therapies improves soft tissue treatment, mainly connective tissue in the skin area and fat reduction.
MASSAGE UNIT AND MASSAGE MACHINE
It is a primary object of the present invention to provide a massage unit and a massage machine which can increase a protruding amount of a massage ball. A massage unit 700 includes a pair of massage elements 350; a forward-backward axis 722 forming a swinging fulcrum point for moving the pair of massage elements 350 toward a body of a person to be treated; and an up-and-down axis 732 for moving the massage unit, wherein the forward-backward axis 722 is formed in parallel with the up-and-down axis 732 and provided nearer to the side of the body of the person to be treated than the up-and-down axis 732.
System for Adjusting Pressure Locally on the Skin and Subcutaneous Tissue
The invention relates to a system for adjusting pressure locally acting on the skin. Said system includes a set of adjacent modules distributed so as to form a layer. Each module includes a cushion capable of changing shape and comprising a cavity, a valve, a tank, and a pressure sensor, wherein the cavity and the tank are in communication with each other by means of the valve, and the sensor is placed so as to sense pressure directly or indirectly acting on the cushion. The system also includes a feedback loop arranged such as to increase or decrease the change in the shape of the cushion on the basis of the pressure detected by the sensor. The system according to the invention can be built into a shoe so as to re-establish normal plantar pressure under the entire sole of the foot, which is particularly desirable for athletes or for patients suffering from diabetes mellitus or leprosy. It is also possible to incorporate the system according to the invention into a (bed or wheelchair) mattress so as to prevent decubitus ulcers in patients with neurological diseases (hemiplegia, paraplegia, tetraplegia, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) and any other sensory and/or motor deficit diseases.
Automated Fundal Massager
