OPTICAL INSPECTION DEVICE
An optical inspection device 1A includes a light selection unit 30, a detection element 40, and a first image formation element 20. The light selection unit 30 has the plurality of wavelength selection regions 32 that selectively transmits or reflects the light rays L of mutually different wavelength regions. The detection element 40 detects scattering characteristic information of the light rays L having reached the light receiving surface 41 via the light selection unit 30. The first image formation element 20 causes scattered light scattered by a subject S to enter a light receiving surface 41 via the light selection unit 30. The plurality of wavelength selection regions 32 has different azimuth angles with respect to the optical axis Z of the first image formation element 20.
SPECTRAL IMAGING SYSTEM FOR REMOTE AND NONINVASIVE DETECTION OF TARGET SUBSTANCES USING SPECTRAL FILTER ARRAYS AND IMAGE CAPTURE ARRAYS
An approach to noninvasively and remotely detect the presence, location, and/or quantity of a target substance in a scene via a spectral imaging system comprising a spectral filter array and image capture array. For a chosen target substance, a spectral filter array is provided that is sensitive to selected wavelengths characterizing the electromagnetic spectrum of the target substance. Elements of the image capture array are optically aligned with elements of the spectral filter array to simultaneously capture spectrally filtered images. These filtered images identify the spectrum of the target substance. Program instructions analyze the acquired images to compute information about the target substance throughout the scene. A color-coded output image may be displayed on a smartphone or computing device to indicate spatial and quantitative information about the detected target substance. The system desirably includes a library of interchangeable spectral filter arrays, each sensitive to one or more target substances.

An optical device for detecting a first chemical species and a second chemical species contained in a specimen, which includes: a first optical sensor, which may be optically coupled to an optical source through the specimen and is sensitive to radiation having a wavelength comprised in a first range of wavelengths; and a second optical sensor, which may be optically coupled to the optical source through the specimen and is sensitive to radiation having a wavelength comprised in a second range of wavelengths, different from the first range of wavelengths.
Respiratory Gas Analyzer and a Beam Splitter Therefor
A gas analyzer for measuring a respiratory gas component includes an emitter that emits two different wavelengths of infrared (IR) radiation in to a measurement chamber containing a respiratory gas, wherein the two different wavelengths include a first IR wavelength and a second IR wavelength. The gas analyzer further includes a first IR detector, a second IR detector, and a beam splitter. The beam splitter is configured to receive the two different wavelengths of radiation emitted by the emitter and to split the two wavelengths of radiation so as to reflect the first IR wavelength to the first IR detector and reflect the second IR wavelength to the second IR detector.

Sensor device for measuring a fluid concentration, and use of the sensor device
A sensor apparatus having a sensor unit. The sensor unit including pixel assemblages on a substrate upper side of a substrate located on a lower side of the sensor unit; a cap, on the substrate upper side, which covers the pixel assemblages, a cavity being formed between the substrate upper side and the cap; a plurality of filters that are transparent to wavelength regions that differ from one another, exactly one pixel assemblage being associated with each filter; and the filters being on the cap so that the infrared radiation propagated through an absorption gap of the sensor apparatus and the upper side of the sensor unit is detectable, through the respective filter, by the pixel assemblage associated with the respective filter; and a coating made of a light-absorbing and/or light-reflecting material being configured at least locally on a part of the cap which is not covered by the filters.
Detector system comprising a plurality of light guides and a spectrometer comprising the detector system
A detector system is disclosed herein that includes a plurality of light guides. Each light guide is guiding incoming light from a respective object in use, wherein the incoming light is provided by means of an illuminating means. The detector system comprises diffracting means for diffracting the incoming light in different wavelength ranges, at least one focuser for projecting the incoming light exiting the light guides onto the diffracting means, a detector having a detector area for receiving the diffracted light from the plurality of Sight guides, and a control unit. These are arranged to pulsate incoming light via only one light guide at a time based on a pulse timing parameter, and record a spectrum of light diffracted from each light guide and detected by the detector based on the pulse timing parameter.
Method, apparatus and software for detection and localization of hidden defects in optically diffuse media
In a method and apparatus, a property of an optically diffuse medium including a first optical absorber having a first concentration and a second optical absorber having a second concentration is determined. A surface area of the medium is imaged at multiple wavelengths around an isosbestic wavelength of the first absorber and the second absorber. A reflectance spectrum of the medium at the surface area at the multiple wavelengths is determined. A derivative of the determined reflectance spectrum around the isosbestic wavelength is determined. From the derivative, a concentration ratio of the first concentration and the second concentration is estimated.
