Narrowband ultraviolet sauna
Systems, devices, and methods are disclosed herein for ultraviolet saunas. Systems include a plurality of walls of an enclosure, the enclosure being a sauna enclosure configured to accommodate a user. The systems further include a plurality of heating elements coupled to the plurality of walls, a plurality of emissive elements configured to generate ultraviolet (UV) light, and a controller coupled to the plurality of heating elements and the plurality of emissive elements. The controller includes one or more processors configured to generate activation properties for each of the plurality of heating elements and the plurality of emissive elements, activate at least one of the plurality of heating elements based on the plurality of activation properties, and activate the at least one emissive element based on the plurality of activation properties.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR STIMULATING SWALLOWING
A device includes a first vibrational transducer and a second vibrational transducer. The first vibrational transducer has a first vibrating property. The second vibrotactile stimulator has a second vibrating property different than the first vibrating property. A collar may be configured to position the first vibrational transducer and the second vibrational transducer over a neck of a subject. A method for stimulating swallowing in a subject includes applying a first vibrotactile stimulation and applying a second vibrotactile stimulation to a throat area of the subject. The first vibrotactile stimulation has a first vibrating property and the second vibrotactile stimulation has a second vibrating property different than the first vibrating property. Example vibrating properties include vibrating frequency, vibrating frequency range, wave shape, continuousness, frequency phase, and direction of mechanical force.
Skin cleanser
A skin cleanser includes a surface, such as a silicone surface, with at least one textured portion for transmitting vibrational tapping to the skin. The skin cleanser includes at least one oscillating motor for generating the tapping motion to the skin. The textured portion includes touch-points or a wave that transmit the tapping motion to skin in contact with the textured portions. The touch-points may include thicker and thinner formations of the touch-points to provide firmer or softer vibrations to the skin. The touch-points are within about 0.5 to 2.5 mm in diameter. One configuration includes multiple oscillating motors configured to provide different vibration frequencies at around 50-300 Hertz and operable simultaneously.
System for performing remote ischemic conditioning
A system for performing remote ischemic conditioning includes an inflatable cuff configured to encircle a limb of a subject and a controller removably attached to the cuff. The controller includes a pump; a manifold in fluid communication with the pump; a connector in fluid communication with the manifold and in removable fluid communication with the inflatable cuff; a pressure sensor; and a control circuit configured to implement a remote ischemic conditioning treatment protocol.
Powered handle bar apparatus for staircase, ramp or level walk area walking assistance for challenged individuals
An indoor, electrically powered, and motorized handlebar structure that provides forward moving or stationary stability for mobility-challenged individuals includes a trolley support bar, a handle, a handle operating system, a control box, a drive assembly, an access control reader, at least one accessory, and a power source. The trolley support bar is mounted on to a solid surface area that can be a wall surface or a floor surface as the handle is operatively coupled to the trolley support bar by the drive assembly. The control box is terminally connected to the trolley support bar and house the access control reader, the at least one accessory, and the power source. The drive assembly, the access control reader, and the at least one accessory are electrically connected to the power source through the handle operating system so that handle can move between a forward direction and a backward direction.

COMBINATION RESPIRATORY THERAPY DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD
A combination respiratory therapy management system creates a combined respiratory therapy prescription that can be executed by a combined respiratory therapy device to provide multiple coordinated respiratory therapies to a patient. The system can update the combined respiratory therapy prescription and implement the updates while the combined respiratory therapy device is in use. An integrated graphical user interface provides the patient and clinician with customization options and quick access to preselected operations of the combined respiratory therapy device. Additional features of the system enable remote access and control of the combination respiratory therapy device by remote clinicians.
Ensuring Operator Engagement in an Exoskeleton Bionic Device
An operator supervising a wearer of an exoskeleton is verified by performing a verification routine on the operator using the exoskeleton. If the verification routine is unsuccessful, the exoskeleton is caused to follow a pre-established response routine. If the verification routine is successful, movement of the exoskeleton is allowed.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR GUIDING AND APPLYING TRACTION TO A PATIENT'S LEG DURING SURGERY
A system for supporting and manipulating a leg of a patient, the system including a base configured to be releasably secured to the ground, a first elongate guide rail coupled to the base, wherein the first elongate guide rail has a longitudinal axis, a boot moveably coupled to the first elongate guide rail, wherein the boot is configured to receive and retain at least a portion of a foot of the patient, a drape hanger assembly coupled to the base and configured to support a drape, wherein the drape hanger assembly includes a pair of drape hangers oriented parallel to the longitudinal axis of the first elongate guide rail, wherein the pair of drape hangers are disposed on opposite sides of the first elongate guide rail in top view, and a drape attached to each drape hanger and positioned between the boot and the first elongate guide rail.
