The first and second electrodes are configured to provide an overlap mismatch relative to each other, and the overlap mismatch area (ma) is at least 0.1% of the overlapping area (o.sub.a) of the two electrodes. The present invention further relates to a system (70) for reading a sensor device and a method (100, 200) for reading a sensor device.
DUAL HEATER GAS SENSOR MODULE
A dual heater gas sensor module according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a housing having a front side and a back side which are partially open and forming the exterior of the dual heater gas sensor module; a first gas sensor for heating the air flowing in through the front side of the housing; and a second gas sensor for measuring a specific gas contained in the air discharging through the backside of the housing, wherein the first gas sensor is located in a first region, the second gas sensor is located in a second region that is higher than the first region, and the first region and the second region may be connected by an inclined plane.
Portable gas detecting and monitoring apparatus
A portable gas detecting and monitoring apparatus includes a case having a continuous sidewall including a first end closed a first end cap, and a second end closed by a second end cap connected sealably and removably to the continuous sidewall. The continuous sidewall is triangular between the closed end and the open having three sides and three corners, two of the three sides being straight and equal in length, one of the three sides being rounded, and each of the three corners being rounded. A gas detection and monitoring unit mounted in the case includes gas, pressure, and temperature and humidity sensors in communication with an ambient atmosphere outside the case, a data processor operatively connected to the sensors, data storage, an information display viewable through the case, and a calibration unit for calibrating the gas sensor to a predetermined gas concentration measured by the gas sensor.
GAS MULTIPLE MEASURE MODULE AND MEASURE PROCESS
A system of gas multiple measurement having independent channels, wherein the gas measurement is carried out by a system comprising individual or redundant sensors configured to take contemporaneous double redundancy measures, such as contemporaneous measurement of flammable and/or toxic gases, with detection of various gases which, when present in the air and not detected, may cause the formation of explosive and/or toxic mixtures.
CHEMICAL SENSOR SYSTEM
A chemical sensor system includes a first chemical sensor, a second chemical sensor unit, and a first sample atmosphere tank located between the first chemical sensor and the second chemical sensor unit, and includes an air supply mechanism that executes a first operation of supplying a sample atmosphere from the first chemical sensor to the first sample atmosphere tank, a second operation of supplying the sample atmosphere from the first sample atmosphere tank to the second chemical sensor unit, and a third operation of discharging the sample atmosphere in the first sample atmosphere tank.
Apparatus and method for measuring gas concentration
An apparatus for measuring a concentration of a target gas includes: a gas sensor including a sensing layer having an electric resistance that changes by an oxidation reaction or a reduction reaction between gas molecules and the sensing layer; and a processor configured to, in response to the target gas being introduced along with air into the gas sensor, monitor a change of the electric resistance of the sensing layer and determine the concentration of the target gas by analyzing a shape of the change of the electric resistance.
COMBUSTION ANALYZER
A combustion analyzer system includes an analyzer unit, a primary analysis probe and one or more remote probes. The analyzer unit includes a condensation removal unit and two or more electrochemical sensors to detect at least oxygen and carbon monoxide. The analyzer unit also includes a means for sealing or isolating the electrochemical sensor inputs to prevent oxidation of the reactive elements when the unit is not in use.
Method and Apparatus for Partial Pressure Detection
A partial pressure detector and methods of detecting a partial pressure are provided, in which a thermal conductivity gauge, such as a Pirani gauge, is configured to sense a pressure of a mixture of gases within a vacuum chamber. An input of the partial pressure detector is configured to receive a total pressure reading from a species-independent pressure sensor of the mixture of gases in the vacuum chamber, and a controller configured to provide an output representing an amount of a species of gas in the vacuum chamber as a function of the pressure as sensed by the thermal conductivity gauge and the received total pressure reading. The controller has a resolution, and a range of the resolution is scaled to a range of expected partial pressures of the species. The output can be a partial pressure or a weighted partial pressure of the gas species.
Home and Business Monitoring System and Methods
The systems of the present invention provide monitoring and recording means for monitoring and maintaining a history of one or more parameters associated with a building or a particular location. The system can be preset with default actions to be conducted as a result of certain events or changes in certain parameters being detected. For example, the water and/or gas utilities can be programmed to shut down if smoke is detected, indicating the possible presence of a fire, or if the temperature drops below freezing temperature. All utilities, including gas, and water can be programmed to shut down in the event that a potentially significant change in a monitored parameter is detected.
