TASK AMBIENT HVAC SYSTEM FOR DISTRIBUTED SPACE CONDITIONING
Embodiments of the present disclosure enable an HVAC system comprising an adaptive air distribution system, and methods for distributed and adaptive control of an occupant comfort parameter in a localized, distributed space, within a multizone environment. The system comprises an HVAC system controller, sensors, and actuators for the control and distribution of a primary airflow of an HVAC system into a specific zone of a residential or housing unit. The various system elements are configured to adapt operation under a variable sensible or latent internal load gain or change to achieve a desired occupant comfort parameter target set point or occupant ambient target for a distributed zone within a multizone environment. The occupant comfort parameter target set point is configurable through a task ambient management system residing within an application cloud server operably engaged with an application database, the application cloud server being communicably connected to the HVAC system controller.
GAS SENSING APPARATUS
There is provided a gas sensing apparatus (30) for sensing one or more analytes in a gas or gas mixture. The gas sensing apparatus (30) comprises: a plurality of sensors (32), each sensor (32) including a polymer layer (42), each polymer layer (42) made of a respective different type of chemically non-selective or semi-selective polymer; and a measurement device (38) configured to measure a change in parameter of each sensor (32) responsive to interaction of an analyte with the respective polymer layer (42).

An information processing apparatus includes: a first acquisition unit that acquires odor data obtained by measuring the odor of an object; a second acquisition unit that acquires an acquisition condition for the odor data; and an identification unit that identifies the object from the odor data and the acquisition condition acquired by the first and second acquisition units on the basis of a learned model obtained by performing learning on the odor data of the object and the acquisition condition, and on the object corresponding to the odor data. The acquisition condition can be text data that indicates the category of the odor and is inputted by a user who has measured the odor.
INTERCONNECTING DETECTOR
The present detector comprises at least one of a smoke detection sensor, a carbon monoxide sensor and a temperature sensor for generating a detected measure. The detector further comprises an alarm module for generating at least one of an audible alarm signal or a visual alarm signal and a communication module for wirelessly communicating with a monitoring central station. An electric connection level of the detector connects the detector to an electrical power source and to a data link. The data link electrically interconnects the detector to at least one remote wired detector. The electric connection level includes a plurality of active data link mating connectors and a mechanical protection mechanism allowing electrical connection of the data link to only one of the plurality of active data link mating connectors while preventing electrical connection to the other active mating connectors.
Sensing Systems and Methods for the Estimation of Analyte Concentration
A method of gas sensing performed by a processor electrically coupled to a gas sensor includes obtaining, by the gas sensor, a first electrical signal indicating a response of the gas sensor to a concentration of a target gas at the gas sensor, generating one or more second electrical signals according to the first electrical signal, determining a first condition in which the concentration at the gas sensor is increasing using the first electrical signal and the one or more electrical second signals, determining a second condition occurring after the first condition in which the concentration at the gas sensor is substantially constant using the first electrical signal and the one or more second electrical signals, and calculating a concentration value of the target gas according to the first electrical signal and the one or more second electrical signals. The calculating is performed while the concentration is substantially constant.
Gas Sensing Device and Method for Operating a Gas Sensing Device
A gas sensing device includes gas sensors for generating signal samples corresponding to a concentration of a gas; a heat source for heating the gas sensors according to a first temperature profile during recovery phases and according to a second temperature profile during sense phases, a preprocessing processor for preprocessing the received signal samples; a feature extraction processor for extracting feature values from the preprocessed signal samples; a humidity processor for estimating a humidity value of the mixture of gases, including a first trained model based algorithm processor, and wherein the humidity value is based on an output of the first algorithm processor; a gas concentration processor for creating sensing results, wherein the gas concentration processor comprises a second trained model based algorithm processor, wherein the sensing results are based on output values of the second algorithm processor, and wherein the sensing results depend on the humidity value.

A diagnostic apparatus for analysing a sample to diagnose disease, the apparatus comprising: a separating element for separating gas derived from the sample into component parts; a sensor arrangement coupled to the separating element such that a component part of the gas is directed towards the sensor arrangement, the sensor arrangement being configured to detect compounds which may be indicative of disease; and a processing element coupled to an output of the sensor arrangement, the processing element being configured to process a signal output by the sensor arrangement to provide a diagnosis.
