Musculoskeletal vibration system providing independent vibration and bias control

An apparatus for musculoskeletal stimulation allows independent electronic control of vibration parameters and overall biasing force so that an optimum combination of these parameters may be obtained regardless of the user's weight and without the need for adjustment of mechanical weights or springs.

SENSORY COASTER CHAIR FOR APPLYING DEEP TOUCH PRESSURE AND METHOD OF USE

A sensory chair and method of use. The system generally includes a chair portion and a roller portion. The roller portion is connected to the chair portion by a pair of pivotable arms located on either side of the chair portion and the roller portion. The roller could be of any usable diameter. The seat portion could be upright, reclined, or any variation therebetween.

MOTORIZED RECUMBENT THERAPEUTIC AND EXERCISE DEVICE

A device for therapy or exercise is provided that includes a frame, a base at least partially supporting and extending from the frame, a user support moveably coupled to the base and positioned adjacent the frame, a foot crank system coupled to the frame, a hand crank system coupled to the frame, and a motor coupled to at least one of the foot crank system and the hand crank system. The motor selectively powers the foot crank system and the hand crank system and comprises an active mode and a passive mode.

Method and apparatus for extremity rehabilitation

A lower extremity mobilizer for use in rehabilitation is provided. A seat is slidably maintained upon a base, with a foot support brace being provided at an end of the base to receive the foot of a leg provided for arthrokinematic treatment. A cord and pulley system is provided between the seat and the end of the base. In use, a patient is seated with a foot received by the foot support brace. The patient provides arthrokinematic motion to his leg by pulling himself and the seat toward the end of the device having the foot support brace. The procedure is undertaken in a closed chain motion, with the foot constantly engaging the foot support brace, and is done so as a rate, timing and extent under the control of the patient.

Diagnostic and therapeutic splints and methods of use

Various implementations include a method of decreasing oxygen saturation levels in a patient, including securing a leg and foot of the patient to a splint having a leg supporting portion, a foot supporting portion, and an inflatable device. The leg supporting portion includes a leg support body and leg support surface. The foot supporting portion includes a foot support body and foot support surface. The inflatable device rotates the foot support surface relative to the leg support surface from a first position to a second position. The angle between a leg longitudinal axis and a foot longitudinal axis is less in the second position than in the first position. The method further includes inflating the inflatable device to rotate the foot support surface from the first position to the second position and maintaining the second position to decrease oxygen saturation levels in the patient.

Fluid stimulation methods and devices for treating fluid overload

Methods for treating fluid overload in a subject comprise shifting fluids directly and non-invasively from an interstitial compartment of the subject to skin of the subject through controlled local sweating. Methods of the invention allow for removal of excess fluid from the interstitial compartment of the subject and treat fluid overload in the subject. Sweat stimulation systems comprise a chamber and first and second relative humidity sensors. The chamber is sized to fit around a body part of a subject, comprises an inlet and an outlet, and is configured such that air flows through the chamber from the inlet to the outlet. The first relative humidity sensor is operably located inside the inlet, and the second relative humidity sensor is operably located proximate the outlet.

Curved Flexible Massage Roller

A curved massage roller is provided allowing for rolling against the body of a user in treatment of body, back-related, muscular or skeletal ailments. The roller is adapted for positioning between the user and a support surface whereupon it is rolled during use. Dual arched segments with a central relief help maintain the roller in place during use and avoid nerve damage when employed on the back of the body.

Motorized Exercise Device and Methods of Exercise Learning

The present invention concerns exercise robot suitable for rehabilitation and methods of its operation. The invention concerns in particular a method in which the exercise robot learns an exercise movement on the basis of movements conducted by the aid of a human assistant holding the leg of a patient and moving said leg with muscular form to conduct an exercise movement. The rehabilitation robot actively accompanies the exercise movement in an active compliance mode and records the movement so as to determine an exercise movement stored in the control unit of the device. The rehabilitation robot can then produce the determined exercise in an exercise mode.

Motorized stretching machine

A motorized stretching machine for enabling a user to perform stretches targeting areas throughout their body includes a metal base frame with an integral slide track on which a motor driven foot rest apparatus is mounted, a plurality of hand grip frames that enables many different hand grips, and a plurality of foot stands. A plurality of push buttons are disposed in various locations on the right side and left side to allow the user to control the operation of the motor driven foot rest apparatus. The varied positioning of the push buttons facilitates full control during stretches and full stability because the user can hold onto other parts of the machine to assist with balance while actuating the motor control buttons. Advantageously, the overall design helps users engage selected muscle groups without losing balance or flexing any other muscles so the user can enjoy a full stretch.

MASSAGE APPARATUS FOR PULLING WAIST
20240423862 · 2024-12-26 ·

The present invention relates to a method for operating a massage apparatus for pulling a user's waist, the method comprising: a step in which a control unit controls a back frame so that the back frame reclines backward; a step in which the control unit controls a leg massage part so that the leg massage part is lifted up; a step in which the position of a massage module is controlled so that a massage ball is positioned on the user's waist; and a step in which the massage ball is moved in a first direction or a second direction and air is injected into a waist airbag to pull the user's waist.
