An extension cord includes a plurality of electrical conductors. A plug is configured to electrically couple a first respective end of the plurality of electrical conductors with an electrical receptacle of a power source. An outlet assembly is coupled with a second respective end of the plurality of electrical conductors. The outlet assembly may include one or more outlet receptacles configured to provide electrical power from the power source. A power meter may be configured to measure an electrical draw through the outlet assembly and to provide a user perceptible output based upon the measured electrical draw. A carbon monoxide monitor may be configured to detect an environmental carbon monoxide level proximate the outlet assembly and to provide a user perceptible indication when the detected environment carbon monoxide level exceeds a threshold.
Exhaust gas analyzer, and exhaust gas analysis method
An exhaust gas analyzer to analyze exhaust gas discharged from an internal combustion engine includes an infrared light source, a photodetector, a CO.sub.2 concentration calculation part and an O.sub.2 concentration calculation part. The infrared light source irradiates infrared light to the exhaust gas. The photodetector detects infrared light after passing through the exhaust gas. The CO.sub.2 concentration calculation part calculates a CO.sub.2 concentration in the exhaust gas on the basis of a detection signal obtained by the photodetector. The O.sub.2 concentration calculation part calculates an O.sub.2 concentration in the exhaust gas from the CO.sub.2 concentration by using a fuel combustion reaction equation and an EGR rate in an exhaust gas recirculation system or a value related to the EGR rate.
Apparatus for controlling bus doors
An apparatus for controlling bus doors (14, 16) that are arranged as a pair of doors that move in coordinated relation between door open positions and door closed positions, enables passengers to access an interior area (12) of a bus (10). The apparatus includes an actuator (28, 226). The actuator includes a drive lever (34, 228) that is selectively rotationally movable between rotational positions in which both of the doors are in the open positions and in the closed positions. Exemplary arrangements include at least one controller (128) that is operative to prevent the doors from causing damage to or from being damaged by engagement with obstructions. The controller further enables a bus driver or other authorized user to control access to the interior area of the bus using a user mobile device (144).
CARBON DIOXIDE REUSING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system and a method for reusing carbon dioxide are provided. The system includes: a process apparatus configured to discharge exhaust gas containing carbon dioxide therefrom; a purifying device configured to purify the exhaust gas, and thus produce reused carbon dioxide from the exhaust gas and store the produced reused carbon dioxide; a first supply tank configured to receive the reused carbon dioxide from the purifying device; a second supply tank configured to receive the reused carbon dioxide from the first supply tank and provide the reused carbon dioxide to the process apparatus; and a blocking device configured to, based on determining that a purity of the reused carbon dioxide provided from the purifying device to the first supply tank fails to satisfy a predefined reference, block flow of the reused carbon dioxide from the purifying device to the first supply tank.
Detection of nitrogen containing and nitrogen free explosives
A compact explosive detecting system collects explosive residues in the form of vapor powder. The residues are accumulated on a desorber which is subjected to pyrolysis to release a gaseous sample. The sample is pumped to a detecting system through a metering valve. A luminol cell reacts with the gaseous sample to create chemiluminescence, the light output of which is measured by a photo multiplier tube. The light intensity is indicative of the amount of explosive present. Based on the amount of explosive present, a metering valve is adjusted to pass the gaseous sample into a highly sensitive metal oxide sensor array to detect NO.sub.2 from nitrogen containing explosive and CO/CO.sub.2 from non nitrogen containing explosive. The metal oxide sensor array reliably selects explosives from those compounds indicating chemiluminescence.
Sensor component and mobile communication device including the same
A sensor component and a mobile communication device including a sensor component are disclosed. In an embodiment a sensor component includes a subcomponent configured to sense a gas level including a resistive heater and a gas sensitive element disposed on the resistive heater; a package enclosing a cavity and accommodating the subcomponent, the package including a first opening in a position facing the gas sensitive element of the subcomponent and a second opening configured to allow a flow of gas to enter the package through the first opening and exit the package through the second opening; and an evaluation circuit configured to generate an output signal indicative of a speed of the flow of gas in response to electrical power to be supplied to the resistive heater.

The present disclosure relates an interface unit having an input for receiving an input voltage from an electrochemical measuring probe; a first transistor; a first operational amplifier; a second transistor; and a second operational amplifier. The first operational amplifier is arranged to provide a variable tension to a first source terminal of the first transistor, in accordance with a comparison between a reference voltage and a second resistor voltage, in order to control an operating point of the first transistor.
Solid-state spectrometer
A solid-state gas spectrometer for detection of molecules of target gases. An emitter generates light having wavelengths both within and outside of one or more absorption bands of a target molecule. The light provided by the emitter passes through an airway adapter. A reflective beam splitter splits the light transmitted through the airway adapter, into two convergent beams each focused on a light detector. One of the light detectors, which is covered by a filter that rejects light having wavelengths within one or more absorption bands of the target molecule, serves as the sensing detector. The other light detector, which may or may not be covered by a filter, serves as the reference detector. The concentration of a target gas molecule in the gas sample is estimated based on a differential signal that is generated using the signals received from the reference and sensing detectors.
