Systems and Methods for Calculating Carbon Emission Reductions
A process for calculating a carbon emission reduction comprises calculating a carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) output associated with using a measured quantity of wellhead gas in generators to produce electricity, determining a carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) emission associated with flaring the measured quantity of wellhead gas, and calculating a carbon emission reduction as the difference between the determined CO2e emission and the calculated CO2e output.
Method and device for analyzing a gas
A method for analyzing a gas, where a sensitive metal oxide-containing layer is exposed to the gas, includes: reducing the temperature of the sensitive layer from a first temperature to a second temperature, the temperature of the sensitive layer being maintained essentially at the second temperature for a predetermined time period; increasing the temperature of the sensitive layer to a third temperature; measuring at least one electrical resistance value of the sensitive layer while the sensitive layer exhibits essentially the third temperature; and analyzing components of the gas based on the measured at least one electrical resistance value.

The capacitor C1 is a filter capacitor, which filters the power supply voltage of the single-chip microcomputer IC1.
GAS SENSING DEVICE DESIGNED FOR ENVIRONMENTAL DECONTAMINATION WITH SIMULTANEOUS ALERT EMISSION
A gas sensing device designed for environmental decontamination with simultaneous alert emission comprising a safety system for occupants of closed environments, including vehicles and aircraft, that simultaneously activates the ventilation/exhaust of the enclosure and emits visual and audible signals with alerts and notifications over a mobile network, and a mechanism for opening windows and unlocking doors once the presence of human beings or animals and concentrations primarily of CO2 posing a health risk are detected.
Carbon dioxide and/or hydrogen sulphide detection system and method and use thereof
Various embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to carbon dioxide and/or hydrogen sulphide sampling and detection system and method for determination of the content of gaseous CO2 and/or H2S in a liquid, among other chemical compounds. In one embodiment, the detection system includes a membrane block having a liquid sample inlet port and a sample outlet port between which a sample flow path extends. The membrane block includes a first membrane unit and a second membrane unit. The first membrane unit includes a sample flow on the first side of a first permeable membrane element, and a carrier gas flow on the second side of the first permeable membrane element. The second membrane unit having a sample flow on the first side of a second permeable membrane element and a carrier gas flow on the second side of the second permeable membrane element.
Portable device for measuring the concentration of at least one component in a gas exhaled by a breath fluid
A portable device for measuring the concentration of at least one component in a gas exhaled by a breath fluid, including a first chamber located upstream of a measuring vessel and including an inlet through which the exhaled breath fluid enters the first chamber, a second chamber located upstream of the measuring vessel, the second chamber including an inlet leading into the first chamber, an outlet in communication with the measuring vessel and through which some of the exhaled breath fluid passes, and an outlet leading to the ambient air, through which some of the exhaled breath fluid is expelled into the ambient air. Further, the second chamber is located inside or adjacent the first chamber and the outlet to the ambient air leads to the first chamber so some of the exhaled breath fluid enters the second chamber through the inlet of the second chamber.
Portable generator including carbon monoxide detector
An internal combustion engine-based system including an engine, a shutdown circuit coupled to the engine to shut down the engine, a controller in communication with the shutdown circuit, and a carbon monoxide (CO) sensor in communication with the controller. The controller communicates with the shutdown circuit to shut down the engine at a predetermined CO threshold concentration when the CO sensor provides the controller with signals that are representative of a CO level proximate the engine that indicate a trend of building CO levels over a set time interval.
Mobile Robot Environment Sensing
A method includes receiving data collected by at least one sensor on a robotic device, wherein the data is to be used for an ambient environment state representation, and wherein the data represents ambient environment measurements collected at locations of the at least one sensor when the robotic device is passively monitoring an environment such that robotic device navigation is not based on the ambient environment state representation. The method further includes determining the ambient environment state representation using the data collected by the at least one sensor on the robotic device. The method also includes identifying, based on the ambient environment state representation, one or more anomalous ambient environment measurements. The method additionally includes causing, based on the one or more identified anomalous ambient environment measurements, the robotic device to actively monitor the environment such that robotic device navigation is based on the ambient environment state representation.
