Assistive stretching device and method of use
An assistive stretching device worn by a user to reduce physical stress while lifting to aid another individual in stretching and method is disclosed. The device includes a belt sized to fit around the torso of the user, first and second pulleys supported on the belt, first and second wrist attachments; first and second ankle attachments; first and second cords threaded through corresponding pulleys with one end attached to corresponding ankle attachments and the opposite end attached to corresponding wrist attachments. The pulleys operate to change the direction of the lifting force, making it easier to lift and stretch the anterior aspects of the musculature of the individual rather than lifting dead weight. An attachment including a dual pulley system may replace the first and second pulleys and includes an arm supporting a pulley at each end and openings to provide leverage adjustments when attaching the arm to the belt.
Inversion Table for Supporting Pulmonary Function
An inversion table comprises a tabletop that tilts upon a frame from up to a vertical orientation to up to 90° below horizontal. Shoulder supports are oriented and located such that the top of a user's shoulders rest against the shoulder supports and the user's body weight is borne by their shoulders when the tabletop is tilted below horizontal. Ankle supports hold the user on the inversion table as the tabletop tilts.
Adjustable cervical traction assemblies for person support apparatuses
A cervical traction assembly for use with a patient support apparatus includes an adjustment carriage track member including a connecting bracket assembly that releasably connects to a mount support member of the patient support apparatus. The adjustment track member includes a track body including a pair of opposing sidewalls that are spaced-apart from each other to define an elongated channel therebetween. Each sidewall includes a guide track that extends along a length of the respective sidewall. A rope angle adjustment carriage is located within the channel. The rope angle adjustment carriage includes a first track engagement member that is received by one of the guide tracks of one of the sidewalls and a second track engagement member that is received by another of the guide tracks of another of the sidewalls. The first track engagement member has a locked configuration that inhibits movement of the rope angle adjustment carriage.
Variable arching support for torso flexibility
A stretching and exercising device is beneficial for torso flexibility, having a configurable structure in which the curvature of the platform is adjustable. The platform can be varied in curvature from a substantially flat configuration to a generally semi-circular configuration. The platform is supported by a gear train connected to the platform, wherein the platform has a plurality of discrete parts. An adjustment member having a manually adjustable variable length connects opposite ends of the gear train, so that the curvature of the platform is determined by the adjusted length of the adjustment member.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TREATING CORONAVIRUS
Provided herein are methods of treatment, including methods of treating subjects having or at risk of having or having a viral infection, and specifically a SARS-CoV-2 viral infection. The methods provided include the administration of 4-methylumbelliferone (4-MU), palmitoylethanolamide (PEA), reservatrol, fisetin, H.sub.2, nebulized hyaluronidase or combinations thereof. Also provided herein are a respiratory assistance device, methods of generating a customized respiratory assistance device, methods of treating a coronavirus infection, and methods of inhibiting a coronavirus infectivity, virulence and/or spread.
Exercise apparatus for lumbar stabilization
An exercise apparatus for lumbar stabilization, which includes a first sub-antigravity module configured to apply a predetermined force to an upper body, and a base frame including a first rotating plate configured to support the first sub-antigravity module to be rotatable about a first vertical rotary shaft extending vertically.
Posture enhancing device
A device that allows the user to provide spinal traction and splay in a localized and fully controllable way that has the device auto-return to a neutral position in case the user inadvertently loses control of operating the device, that has the ability to induce corrective spinal curvature from the lordotic neck curvature to the sacral curvature, that has the ability to conform or adjust to the varying curvature of differing body builds, that has the ability to provide corrective curvatures to all sides of a human body (front, side, back, and any hybridized orientation), that is adjustable for ergonomics to stretch or to compress any sections of the spinal curvature in a localized manner, that allows the benefits of splaying forces to correct spinal curvature, and that allows axial adjustment to the spinuous process.
Creeping Motion Therapy Device
A creeping motion therapy device promotes proper crawling and includes a motor coupled to a frame. Each of a right paddle and a left paddle are coupled to and slidable relative to the frame. Right and left leg supports are also coupled to and slidable relative to the frame. A linkage assembly is mechanically coupled to a main flywheel assembly mechanically coupled to the motor. Each of the right paddle, the left paddle, the right leg support, and the left leg support is mechanically coupled to the linkage assembly such that the right paddle and the left leg support move alternately backward and forward in unison and the left paddle and the right leg support move in unison in opposite to the right paddle and the left leg support wherein the right paddle, left paddle, right leg support, and left leg support mimic a creeping motion.
Treatments for blood sugar levels and muscle tissue optimization using extracorporeal acoustic shock waves
A method of treating red blood cells of a human patient has the steps of activating an acoustic shock wave generator or source to emit acoustic shock waves and subjecting a vascular system containing red blood cells and surrounding muscle tissue peripherally through an extremity of a patient to the acoustic shock waves by stimulating the extremity wherein the extremity is positioned within a path of the emitted shock waves and away from a geometric focal volume or point of the emitted shock waves. The methods also treat muscle tissue of aging patients, from muscle regeneration or athletes for legal performance enhancement without drugs.
Baby burping device
A device configured to support an infant in a prone position to automatically burp the infant while retained within the device. The device having a base portion, a resting portion, and a movable arm portion. A pair of legs are positioned on opposed ends of the base portion extending perpendicular to a width of the base portion for supporting the device. The movable arm portion coupled to a motor to move the arm towards and away from the resting portion in a back and forth motion. The movable arm portion and the resting portion are movable along their length to an extended position to fit several lengths and sizes of infants placed within the device.
