ENHANCED LIQUID CONTAINER FOR LIQUID AUTHENTICATION

An approach for providing a cap with an embedded high-resolution lens and a sampling insert that is used during an authentication of a composition of a liquid in a container sealed by the cap. The cap has a top portion of a cap with an opening, a sampling insert inside the opening in the top portion of the cap, and a high-resolution lens inside an opening in the sampling insert.

Container, connection and production device

A container, in particular an ampule, of a plastic material has a container part (10) for receiving the contents of a container (14) to be dispensed via a container opening (12). Opening (12) is closed by a head part (18) that can be separated along a separation line (16). The head part (18) is adjoined by a neck part (20), which has a plurality of different functional surfaces on the inner circumference. One functional contact surface (44) is used to seal against a withdrawal body (32), which is provided for withdrawing the contents of a container (14) when the container opening (12) is opened. A lead-in area (50) is provided as a further functional surface on the interior of the neck part (40) and differs geometrically from the functional contact surface (44). The lead-in area (50) seamlessly merges into the functional contact surface (44). The lead-in area (50) and the functional contact surface are located between the other functional surfaces in the neck part (20).

Feeding Cap, Drive Head, And Drive System

The present invention is comprised in the sector of the industry dedicated to the manufacturing of medical supplies, particularly focusing on containers for the artificial feeding of enteral feeding products through a tube. In particular, the present invention relates to a closure cap for a container for supplying enteral feeding products by means of the drive of a drive head, and it also relates to a drive head that can be coupled to the cap for driving the supply of enteral feeding products contained in a container, and in turn to a drive system formed by said cap and drive head.

CONTAINER WHICH ACCOMMODATES DRUG AND IS SEALED

The present invention relates to a container, which accommodates a drug and is sealed, includes a container stopper part including at least one filling groove formed in order to inject a drug, and a container body including an opening into which the container stopper part is inserted and which is sealed, wherein the filling groove is formed in an outer wall surface of the container stopper part in a longitudinal direction in which the container stopper part is inserted thereinto and forms a passage which is formed between the outer wall surface of the container stopper part and an inner wall surface of the container body and through which the drug is injectable.

Smart connection interface

A method and apparatus for a connection interface between a reservoir or syringe, infusion set tubing, and an infusion pump is provided. The reservoir, a base and a cap are connected to form an integrated unit that is capable of being inserted and secured in an infusion pump housing. The cap and the infusion pump are each provided with at least one sensor or at least one detectable feature, arranged to interact with at least one corresponding detectable feature or sensor on the other of the cap and infusion pump device, to detect one or more of the presence, position or other characteristic of the cap when the cap is aligned or coupled with the infusion pump housing. The detectable feature and sensor may be magnetic, RF, mechanical, optical or any combination.

Evacuated bottle system

An evacuated bottle system including a bottle defining a hollow interior, the bottle having a neck with a rim defining an opening; a cap assembly supported on the bottle, the cap assembly including a funnel having a first portion and a second portion, the first portion being insertable within the interior of the bottle and the second portion engaging a portion of the bottle to support the funnel above the rim, the funnel defining a bore that fluidly communicates with the hollow interior of the bottle; a self-sealing membrane that covers the bore formed by the funnel to selectively seal the hollow interior of the bottle; a cap attachable to the bottle, the cap including a cover portion that extends at least partially over the self-sealing membrane to restrain movement thereof, the cover portion being axially spaced from the self-sealing membrane to define a gap that permits axial movement of the self-sealing membrane to selectively open the bottle to fluid communication outside of the bottle.

PILL CUTTER AND PILL CUTTING ASSEMBLY
20220015990 · 2022-01-20 ·

A pill cutter attachable to a pill bottle for splitting a pill to form a split pill that includes a pill cutter body extending between first and second body ends. The first body end presents a first surface for holding a pill. A lid is coupled to the first body end, is moveable between open and closed positions, and presents a second surface facing the first surface when in the closed position. A cutting instrument is coupled to the second surface of the lid and is configured to split the pill to form a split pill when the lid is moved from the open position toward the closed position. A cutter connector extends away from the second body end of the pill cutter body. The cutter connector is configured to attach rotatably to a pill bottle to collectively define a holding chamber for holding the split pill.

Access and vapor containment system for a drug vial and method of making and using same

A safety vial system has a vial adapter subsystem irreversibly mountable to the top of a vial containing a hazardous medicament and a vial base subsystem sealingly engaging a lower portion of the vial adapter subsystem and telescopically movable therein from a first position providing a path for gas sterilization around the vial to a second position wherein the path is closed to form a sterilized expandable, neutral pressure bellows chamber around and below the vial. The device has a removable top cap, a pierceable barrier film, a normally closed needleless valve in fluid communication with a dual lumen spike initially disposed above the film and a frangible product integrity ring holding the activation housing in place for sealed telescopic movement on a main body that surrounds the vial. The user pulls the product integrity ring and removes it, and then pushes the activation housing axially downward until it clicks to lock the device in the activated position wherein both lumens of the spike are in communication with the inside of the vial. The user removes the top cap on the activation housing assembly, and then uses a needleless syringe with an adapter thereon to add diluent and mixes if needed and withdraw drug from the vial via the valve.

NUTRITION TUBE CONNECTOR FOR SEALED NUTRITION POUCH
20210353506 · 2021-11-18 ·

Disclosed is a connector for connecting a sealed, flexible nutrition pouch to the hydration system of a user's protective mask, that allows the nutrition pouch to remain sealed until the user intends to consume the product inside of the nutrition pouch, enables resealing of the pouch after it has initially been opened, and allows connection of the nutrition pouch to the user's hydration system. The connector comprises a multi-piece body having an inlet end that may be manually attached to the outlet of the nutrition pouch without breaking the seal covering the outlet of the nutrition pouch. The connector likewise has an outlet end configured for attachment to an adapter on the user's fluid delivery system. Upon attachment of the adapter to the outlet of the connector, a piston inside of the connector is pushed toward the outlet of the nutrition pouch and breaks the seal over the outlet of the nutrition pouch, thus forming a flow channel for material in the nutrition pouch to flow through the connector and into the adapter and fluid delivery system for ultimate consumption by the user.

Cover for Drug Product Bottles
