Pill Dispensers, Systems and/or Methods
Pill dispenser devices, systems and methods are shown and/or described herein. Include are a method, device or system for pill delivery including disposing a pill at a known location; contacting the pill with a pick-up member; and, moving the pill from the known location by movement of the pick-up member.
SMART PILL DISPENSER
The medication dispensing assembly includes a housing having an interior. A medication bottle is disposed in the interior with its cap assembly facing vertically downwardly. The cap assembly includes outer, middle, and inner pieces. The outer and inner pieces are fixed with one another, and the middle piece is fixed with the bottle. A drive unit is disposed in the interior of the housing and is configured to rotate the bottle and the middle piece of the cap assembly about a vertical axis. The three pieces of the cap assembly have respective medication openings, and rotating the bottle causes individual pills to travel first from the bottle into the inner piece, then into the middle piece, then around the vertical axis, and then outside of the cap assembly through the medication opening of the outer piece.
Apparatus and method for dispensing medication
Disclosed is an invention for dispensing multiple medications to a patient over an extended period of days up to several times a day. The system includes a carousel with storage bins and a delivery bin on its periphery. A vacuum system and a vacuum probe with a vacuum cup at the end of the probe for grasping and holding by an induced vacuum a dosage of medication located in a storage bin and moving it to a dispending or delivery bin. The system includes a programmable computer to control the system and sequence the proper dispensing of the medication at the predesignated times.
Locking medication containers and methods of use thereof
Methods and systems are described for a medication container that may be locked using a locking mechanism. In one exemplary method, a request from a user may be received by a medication provider for a medication. The medication may be placed in a medication container with a locking mechanism that is operable to lock and unlock the medication container. The medication container may be locked using the locking mechanism. The locked medication container with the medication within may be provided to the user. Subsequent to providing the locked medication container to the user, a request may be received from the user to access the medication in the medication container. A credential may be sent to the user that is usable, via the locking mechanism, to unlock the medication container. The user may then input the credential into the locking mechanism to unlock the medication container and access the medication therein.
Personal prescription dispenser
Disclosed is a method and apparatus for transporting and dispensing medications for a patient according to a medication schedule for the patient. A smart container from a pharmacy is received at the patient's site and the container is checked to make sure that the container was delivered to the correct patient site. The smart container contains a memory device that contains identification information of the patient, dosage and treatment instructions for the patient. This information and the medication were checked for compatibility before the smart container was delivered. The identity of the patient at the patient's site is then checked and the patient performs on or more biometric tests before the medication is dispensed by the smart container. Upon taking the medication and providing video proof thereof, the smart container is returned to the pharmacy.
Systems and methods for a connected medication dispenser
The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and computer-readable storage devices medication adherence systems. A container may be provided with a computing unit and display screen. The display screen may be integrated into an interior surface of the container or each compartment within the container. The display screen may display messages to a user about loading the container, the contents of the container, and/or removing contents from the container. A second display screen may also be provided on a lid of the container.
Pill dispensing canister
A pill dispending canister mountable onto a pill packaging device comprising a hopper, a bulk dispenser, and a discrete dispenser. The hopper preferably includes a reservoir and an initial passage. The bulk dispenser preferably includes a bulk dispensing base, a bulk dispensing disc, a bulk dispensing motor, a pill exit chute, and bulk dispensing sensor. The discrete dispenser preferably includes a discrete dispensing base, a pill sorter, a discrete dispensing disc, a discrete dispensing motor, a pill drop chute, a pill jam sensor, a discrete pill sensor, a pill gate, a gate motor, and a control board.
Systems and methods for identifying medicines deposited in a compartment of a pill box according to a prescription
The disclosure relates to a system for identifying medicines, comprising a first measurement device for identifying, from the top, at least one first medicine deposited in a compartment of a pill box and analysing at least one identifying characteristic of the first medicine; and a second measurement device for identifying, from the bottom, at least one second medicine deposited in the compartment of said pill box and analysing at least one identifying characteristic of the second medicine. The system comprises a device for comparing the characteristic of the first medicine and the characteristic of the second medicine, for determining at least one validated medicine and comparing the characteristic of the validated medicine with medicine signature characteristics. The system also comprises a validation device for obtaining an identified content for the compartment and comparing the identified content with a prescription. Methods for identifying and validating medicines are also disclosed.
MEDICATION REMINDER METHOD, NON-TRANSITORY READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM STORING SAID METHOD, AND MEDICATION REMINDER DEVICE
A method, system, and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a method for reminding a patient to comply with medication schedule. The method includes obtaining a measurement of at least one patient parameter; determining whether the measurement is outside of a range; when the measurement is outside of the range, determining a total time lapse since the previous administration of a dose of the medication; determining a concentration of the medication in blood of the patient based at least on the total time lapse; and when the concentration of the medication in the blood of the patient is below a threshold, generating a reminder to the patient to administer the next dose of the medication.
Multiple compartments dispensing cartridge
The present invention is a medication dispensing system and device comprising a multiple compartment dispensing cartridge made of rigid and flexible materials. The cartridge is preloaded with dispensable contents and inserted into the housing of the dispensing device. A flexible ribbon with an opening run through a plurality of slits in the vertical walls in a closed loop manner resulting in formation of compartments. The ribbon is moved, by a motor, such that the opening reaches a specific compartment at a specific time, thereby releasing the contents of that compartment at that time. Other features, such as a microcontroller is provided to control the dispensing date and time of the contents based on pre-determined conditions.
