The present disclosure provides a circuitry for radar detection data disambiguation for a mobile platform. The circuitry is configured to obtain radar detection data from a radar sensor mounted on the mobile platform, wherein the radar detection data indicate, for each of a plurality of targets, a radial velocity and an angle of arrival; estimate, based on the radar detection data, an ego-motion of the mobile platform; and determine an unambiguous radial velocity value of a target of the plurality of targets based on the ego-motion and the radar detection data.

Systems and methods for combining radar data

The present disclosure provides a system for processing radar data. The system may comprise a frequency generator configured to generate a reference frequency signal; a timing module configured to generate a shared clock signal or a plurality of timing signals; and a plurality of radar modules in communication with the frequency generator and timing module. The radar modules may be configured to: (i) receive the reference frequency signal and at least one of a shared clock signal and a timing signal, (ii) transmit a first set of radar signals based in part on the reference frequency signal and at least one of the shared clock signal and the timing signal, and (iii) receive a second set of radar signals reflected from a surrounding environment. The system may comprise a processor configured to process radar signals received by each radar module, by coherently combining radar signals using phase and timestamp information.

In this manner, the trajectory of the tracking-target moving body is calculated so that the trajectory of the moving body detected in the first area or the second area and the trajectory of the moving body estimated in the blind spot area are continuous to each other and driving support is executed based on the calculated trajectory of the tracking-target moving body.

The radar sensor receives a radar return from a driving environment of the vehicle and outputs radar data that is indicative of the return to the hardware logic component. The hardware logic component further receives data indicative of a velocity of the vehicle from a sensor mounted on the vehicle. The hardware logic component is configured to employ synthetic aperture radar (SAR) techniques to compute a three-dimensional position of a point on a surface of an object in the driving environment of the vehicle based upon the radar data and the velocity of the vehicle.

A radar sensor is described herein. In accordance with one example embodiment the radar sensor includes a transmitter for transmitting an RF signal and a receiver configured to receive a respective back-scattered signal from at least one radar target and to provide a corresponding digital radar signal. The radar sensor further includes a processor configured to convert the digital radar signal into the frequency do-main thus providing respective frequency domain data and to compress the frequency domain data. A communication interface is configured to transmit the compressed frequency domain data via a communication link operably coupled to the communication interface.
