The lighting fixture further includes a linear light source with one or more linear arrays of light emitting diodes (LEDs) optically coupled to light input edges of the curved sheets, a linear heat-dissipating structural element joining curved sheets, and an opaque elongated housing at least partially enclosing the structural element, light source, and the light input edges.

The present application provides a backlight module and a display device. The backlight module includes a first backlight assembly and a second backlight assembly. The second backlight assembly is provided with a backlight hole, and at least a portion of the first backlight assembly is accommodated in the backlight hole. The first backlight assembly includes a first light source and a light guide element. The light guide element is used to guide a light beam from the first light source, which enters the light guide element, out of the backlight hole, so that the light is evenly distributed in the backlight hole, and a full-screen display design of the display device is realized.

Segmented light guide having light-blocking groove between segments, and a method of manufacturing

A light guide is described that includes a thermoplastic light channeling layer having at least a first segment, at least a second segment, and at least one groove dividing the thermoplastic light channeling layer into the first segment and second segment. The light guide further includes one or more light sources at least at the first segment. The at least one groove is shaped to block light from leaking between the first segment and the second segment. A method of forming the light guide is described that includes: providing a thermoplastic light channeling layer, thermoforming the at least one groove to divide the light guide into the first and second segments, and providing one of more light sources to at least the first segment.

Parallel light traveling in a direction perpendicular to an outgoing surface having a curved surface is emitted. A light guide member according to one or more embodiments may include: an incident surface where light from a light source enters; at least one reflective surface that reflects the light having entered from the incident surface; and an outgoing surface that is formed of a curved surface and emits the light reflected by the reflective surface. The reflective surface reflects the light having entered from the light source in a direction in which the incident angle of the light incident on the outgoing surface is constant.

Light guide film, backlight unit and display device

Provided are a light guide film, a backlight unit, and a display device. Light guide portions are disposed in holes of a reflection plate on which light sources are disposed, and a light guide film is directly disposed on the reflection plate and the light guide portions to provide a light guiding function and a light shielding function. Therefore, a method of facilitating implementation of a backlight unit with a small thickness, which satisfies image quality is provided. Further, each of the light shielding patterns has different reflectances in different areas, thereby increasing the amount of light supplied to an area between light sources. Therefore, a backlight unit with a reduced number of light sources and improved image quality may be provided.
