Transparent composition and transparent cosmetic
A transparent composition having UV protection effect is provided, wherein the UV protection effect is improved after the composition is contacted with moisture, such as water or sweat, more than that immediately after the composition is applied, while maintaining high transparency. The transparent composition contains (a) a UV absorbent, (b) an oil component having a refractive index in the range from 1.5 to 1.7, (c) an oil component having a refractive index of not less than 1.3 and less than 1.5, and (d) a powder having a refractive index in the range from 1.45 to 1.55, wherein a mixed oil component obtained by mixing the (b) oil component having a refractive index in the range from 1.5 to 1.7 and the (C) oil component having a refractive index of not less than 1.3 and less than 1.5 has a refractive index in the range from 1.44 to 1.56.
Tanning compositions including dihydroxyacetone
Embodiments disclosed relate to self-tanning compositions that include at least 0.1 weight percent dihydroxyacetone and at least 1 weight percent water in an internal phase in addition to an external phase formulated to provide a solid body, and the self-tanning composition is stable at ambient temperatures.
ANHYDROUS SKIN CARE COMPOSITION COMPRISING RETINOL AND/OR BAKUCHIOL
Anhydrous skin care compositions contain encapsulates, which in turn contain active agents, including retinol and/or bakuchiol. When formulated in a stick form and applied to the skin, the pressure applied to the stick during application deposits the skin care composition onto the skin. During application, some of the encapsulates contained in the composition collapse or rupture, releasing some of the retinol and/or bakuchiol payload onto the skin. As application continues, the encapsulates may break up into smaller particles that retain some of the payload of the active agent(s), which remain on the skin and deliver all or a portion of the retained payload to the skin over time, resulting in “extended release” of active agent(s) into the skin.

A deodorant stick comprising: a natural or naturally-derived oil; an antimicrobial; a naturally-derived wax blend comprising from about 5% to about 20% an ester wax having a melting point of at least about 55° C.; and from 0.01% to 2% a fatty alcohol or fatty alcohol-containing wax; wherein the deodorant stick is anhydrous and substantially free of aluminum; and wherein the stick has an oil binding capacity percent of at least 80%.

Provided is a cosmetic method for treating perspiration and, optionally, the body odors related to thereto, e.g. underarm odors, with an effective amount of particles of an expanded amorphous mineral material or of a composition thereof, and more particularly containing expanded perlite particles. The composition can contain, in a cosmetically acceptable carrier, at least the above particles and at least one antiperspirant salt or complex. Also provided is a composition containing, in a cosmetically acceptable carrier, at least the above particles and at least one antiperspirant salt or complex. Also, provided is an anhydrous solid composition in stick form comprising in a cosmetically acceptable carrier: (i) more than 1% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition, of expanded mineral particles as defined above; and (ii) at least one fatty phase comprising at least one volatile oil and/or at least one non-volatile oil and a structuring agent.
