Ready-to-use esthetic compositions
Described are ready-to-use injectable compositions comprising polymeric microspheres or microparticles of non-animal origin, a hydrogel comprising water and a cellulose-derivative gelling agent, and polysorbate 80. Further described are methods of using the ready-to-use injectable compositions for reparative or plastic surgery, esthetic dermatology, facial contouring, body contouring, and gingival augmentation.
COSMETIC COMPOSITION INCLUDING MICROSPHERES CONTAINING HIGH CONCENTRATION OF OXYGEN AND METHOD OF PREPARING THE SAME
The present invention provides a cosmetic composition including oxygen-containing microspheres for preventing skin aging, in which the microsphere contains 25 to 35 ppm of oxygen. The cosmetic composition including the microsphere according to the present invention is capable of supplying a high concentration of oxygen to the skin by allowing a high concentration of oxygen to slowly release through the microspheres.
Microabrasive compositions containing oöids
Ooids, microabrasive compositions containing ooids and methods of making microabrasive compositions containing ooids are described. Generally, ooids represent small particles, which are selectable for size, size distribution, and other characteristics and can be used as a microabrasive particle. Ooids generally show a high level of symmetry, sphericity, roundness and a low aspect ratio. As described here, these characteristics generally yield a predictable and highly effective abrasive.
PIGMENT MIXTURE
The present invention relates to a pigment mixture based on spherical particles having a defined particle-size distribution, and to the use thereof in paints, coatings, printing inks, security printing inks, plastics, ceramic materials, glasses, in cosmetic formulations, as tracer, as filler and for the preparation of pigment preparations and dry preparations.
SPHERICAL STANNOUS COMPATIBLE SILICA PARTICLES FOR REDUCED RDA
Silica particles having a d50 median particle size from 8 to 20 μm, a sphericity factor (S.sub.80) of at least 0.9, a BET surface area from 0.1 to 8 m.sup.2/g, a total mercury intrusion pore volume from 0.35 to 0.8 cc/g, and a loss on ignition from 3 to 7 wt. %, are disclosed, as well as methods for making these silica particles, and dentifrice compositions containing the silica particles.
GENERALLY SPHERICAL RESIN PARTICLES FORMED OF THERMOPLASTIC RESIN, METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME AND USE OF SAME
Generally spherical resin particles formed of a thermoplastic resin, having a sphericity of 0.90 to 1.00, a light scattering index of 0.5 to 1.0 and a linseed oil absorption of 30 to 150 mL/100 g.
Compositions for cosmetic raw material and methods for making the same
The instant invention relates to a composition for cosmetic raw material containing microcapsule containing at least one encapsulated material comprising at least one core and at least one layered coating surrounding said core, and the encapsulated material being at least one reflective particle. The invention further relates to a process for preparing the composition for cosmetic raw material containing microcapsule containing at least one encapsulated material comprising at least one core and at least one layered coating surrounding said core, and the encapsulated material being at least one reflective particle.
COSMETIC COMPOSITION BASED ON JANUS PARTICLES
A cosmetic composition comprising Janus particles, an aqueous phase and an organic phase uses Janus particles produced with a method which includes the preparation of hollow particles (1) having two non-continuous surfaces of a material with surface energy a, of which the external one (2) is accessible and the internal one (3) is inaccessible. The surface energy of the external surface (2) is thereby modified originating particles (11) with internal surface energy a and external surface energy 13. The modified particles (11) are then ground until particles are obtained constituted by small fragments (21) shaped as spherical caps with external surface (12) having modified energy and internal surface (13) having non-modified internal energy.
POROUS-CELLULOSE PARTICLES AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF, AND COSMETIC
The porous-cellulose particles according to the present invention are constituted by gathered crystalline celluloses having a type I crystal form including a glucose molecule as a constitutional unit. That is, porous-cellulose particles having high sphericity have been achieved from a natural raw material. The porous-cellulose particles have an average particle diameter of 0.5 to less than 50 μm, a specific surface area of 50 to 1000 m.sup.2/g, and a sphericity of 0.85 or more. Cosmetic products containing such porous-cellulose particles have excellent texture properties.
PVD-ALUMINUM PIGMENT DISPERSION AND COSMETIC FORMULATIONS
This invention is directed to an effect pigment dispersion comprising a PVD-aluminum pigment, a leafing additive and an oil suitable for cosmetic skin care or color cosmetic applications, wherein a) the amount of the PVD-aluminum pigment is in a range of 8 to 30 wt.-%, b) the amount of the oil is in a range of 70 to 90 wt.-%, each based on the total weight of the effect pigment dispersion and c) the leafing additive is partly adsorbed on the surface of the PVD-aluminum pigment and partly an excess additive dissolved in the oil, wherein the amount of excess leafing additive is in a range of 0 to 25 wt.-%, based on the weight of PVD aluminum pigment. Further cosmetic skin care of color cosmetic formulations containing this effect pigment dispersion are described.
