WATER-TYPE OR OIL-IN-WATER-TYPE COSMETIC PRODUCT
A water-type or oil-in-water type cosmetic provided with a watery feeling in use and high ultraviolet protection ability. The water-type or oil-in-water-type cosmetic according to the present invention is characterized by containing (A) a porous spherical powder having an average particle size of 1 to 4 μm and an oil absorption rate of 160 ml/100 g or lower; and (B) an ultraviolet absorption agent.
COSMETIC PRODUCT
This cosmetic product has extensibility and imparts use feels such as silkiness and smoothness, and further demonstrates excellent soft focus effects, and contains: (A) spherical organopolysiloxane particles of which 90% by mole or more are constituted from organosilsesquioxane units and which have a volume average particle size of 0.1 to 30 μm and an average refractive index of 1.44 to 1.57, and; (B) an oil agent; and one or more selected from (C) a silicone crosslinked product and (D) a silicon resin coating silicon rubber powder.
Powdery cosmetic composition comprising nanocrystalline cellulose
A powdery cosmetic composition in the form of a compacted powder including, in a physiologically acceptable medium, (i) a pulverulent phase including nanocrystalline cellulose, and (ii) a binder phase. Also, the use of the pulverulent phase for the preparation of a cosmetic composition in the form of compacted powder with satisfactory cohesive properties.
Process and cosmetic composition for gloss and blur
Disclosed a method of preparing composite particles comprising a non-porous spherical particulate inorganic material deposited on a plate-like inorganic material, where refractive index of said particulate inorganic material is greater than that of said plate-like inorganic particulate material, wherein, said spherical material occupies 20 to 80% of total surface area of said plate-like material and wherein the amount of said spherical material accounts for 2 to 20 wt % of said composite particles, further wherein said plate-like inorganic material is mica and said non-porous spherical particulate inorganic material is silicone dioxide, said method comprising the steps of: (iv) silanization of said plate-like inorganic material to get a silanized material having functional groups “A”; (v) silanization of said non-porous spherical particulate inorganic material to get a silanized material having functional groups “B”, where A≠B; and where said “A” and said “B” are capable of reacting with each other such that by way of their reaction, said non-porous spherical particulate inorganic material deposits on said plate-like inorganic material; and, (vi) reacting said silanized material having functional groups “A” with said silanized material having functional groups “B”.
Unevenness correction cosmetic
Provided is a cosmetic product that has excellent unevenness correction effect, feel on use, spread (spreadability), and adherability, and that leaves no powdery residues. This unevenness correction cosmetic comprises (a) a partially crosslinked organopolysiloxane, (b) oil-absorbing silicone composite spherical powder, and 8-85 mass % of (c) an oil solution having a viscosity of 1-100 mm.sup.2/s at 25° C., wherein the total amount of component (a) and component (b) is 10-35 mass %, and the mass ratio of component (a) to component (b) as represented as (a)/(b) is 0.02-0.55.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR IMPROVING MARINE BIODEGRADABILITY OF POLYMERIC COMPOSITIONS
The present invention is relative to the use of a composition comprising at least one mineral filler having properties of absorption and/or emission in the far infrared region ranging from wavelength of 2 micrometers to 20 micrometers dispersed in a marine biodegradable polymeric composition for improving marine biodegradability of said marine biodegradable polymeric composition.
Water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a water-in-oil type emulsion cosmetic that has a replenishing and smooth feel-of-use, that, once applied, forms a uniform coating, and that can minimize the appearance of skin roughness such as pores while covering discoloration such as spots and freckles, but that does not give an impression of a thick coating. The present invention provides a water-in-oil type emulsion cosmetic characterized by containing (A) 0.1-20 mass % of metallic soap-treated powder, and (B) a water-absorptive polymer having 0.01-2 mass % of a carboxyl group. The (B) water-absorptive polymer having a carboxyl group of this cosmetic preferably can absorb 10-1,000 times its own weight.
METHOD OF PRESERVING A REACTIVE ACTIVE COMPOUND, CAPSULE AND FORMULATION
A reactive active compound is brought in a liquid. Said liquid, containing said active compound, is encapsulated by a surrounding shell layer and comprises an emulsion of a first liquid in a second liquid. Said active compound is dispersed in said first liquid. Said first liquid, containing said active compound, is dispersed in a second liquid that is substantially immiscible with said first liquid to form said emulsion. Said emulsion is encapsulated by said shell layer to preserve said reactive active compound in one or more a capsules that may be applied in a formulation.
Modified formula for hydrophilic foam
The present invention provides a modified formula to make a hydrophilic foam. In some embodiments this modified formula adds a filler which causes the foam to become less absorptive, which has the benefit of making available to the skin more makeup or other products, while also providing a superior esthetic application of makeup on the skin. In other embodiments the modified formula makes the hydrophilic foam easier to clean and reduces the staining propensity of the foam. In other embodiments the modified formula uses an additive to the properties or usability of the foam in some way. Providing the filler and additive can be done in combination or separately depending on the desired benefits or properties of the foam. In some embodiments the foam is fashioned into a shape suitable for makeup application.
WATER-IN-OIL EMULSION COMPOSITION INCLUDING HYDROPHOBIC SPHERICAL SOL-GEL SILICA FINE PARTICLES
Provided is a water-in-oil emulsion composition useful for cosmetics and skin preparations, which is excellent in storage stability without any surfactant and is also excellent in safety. The water-in-oil emulsion composition includes (a) an oily substance in an amount of 100 parts by mass,(b) water, or water and a water-soluble substance in an amount of 11 to 800 parts by mass, and (c) hydrophobic, spherical sol-gel silica fine particles having a volumetric median diameter (D50) of 5 to 1500 nm in an amount of 0.5 to 40 parts by mass.
