A cosmetic composition is provided for application to the hair or skin, comprising 30 to 85% ethanol, 15 to 37% water, a crosslinked copolymer composed of acrylic acid and non-ethoxylated esters of acrylic acid with linear C10-C30 monoalcohols as monomers, the crosslinked copolymer being present in a total amount of 0.1 to 1.0%, a alkalizing agent up to a pH of the cosmetic composition in the range of 5 to 8, measured at 20° C., a substance selected from oils and fragrances in a total amount of 0 to 10%, one or more surfactants in a total amount of 0 to 0.1%, and at least one pigment in a total amount of 0.1 to 10%, where all quantities are based on the weight of the cosmetic composition, whereby the application is preferably done by spraying, especially preferably by spraying with a pump sprayer.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING SOLID POWDER COSMETIC
A method for producing a solid powder cosmetic, the method including: a step of preparing a slurry containing a cosmetic base material containing an oil component and a powder component, and a volatile hydrocarbon solvent; and a step of compression-molding the slurry, in which the oil component contains an ester oil that is insoluble in the hydrocarbon solvent and that has a hydroxyl value of 40 to 85, and the powder component contains a plate-like powder.
WHITE PIGMENT FOR COSMETICS, AND COSMETIC
Provided is a white pigment for cosmetics, and the white pigment has a higher function as a base pigment than that of titanium oxide. A white pigment for cosmetics of the present invention includes a titanium phosphate powder having a whiteness of 92.91 or more as determined in accordance with JIS Z 8715.

MICROCAPSULES FOR USE IN COSMETIC COMPOSITIONS
Disclosed is a microcapsule comprising inorganic particle and benefit agent wherein the microcapsule has a sphericity of 0.15 to 0.74, wherein said benefit agent is distributed throughout the particle, and wherein said microcapsule is not core-shell microcapsule having a single core. The inorganic particle preferably comprises bismuth oxychloride, aluminium oxide, barium sulfate, boron nitride, zirconium oxide, mica, clay, silicate, talc or combination thereof. The benefit agent is preferably a fragrance or pro-fragrance. The microcapsule may be prepared by mixing the inorganic particle with benefit agent at 0 to 40 C. A home or personal care composition comprises the microcapsules. It may further comprise a cleansing surfactant.
Use of iron oxide coated aluminum flakes having red 1.SUP.st .order interference color in coatings
The use of an effect pigment (a) comprising an aluminum-based substrate and an iron oxide coating having a red 1.sup.st order interference color in combination with a colored absorption pigment (b) for producing a coating having enhanced coloristic properties, in particular enhanced chroma, lightness and hiding power, is provided. The pigment combination of (a) and (b) is suitable for coloring plastics, a fiber, a film and a coating composition such as a paint, a printing ink, a varnish or a powder coating, preferably an automotive, an architectural or an industrial coating composition.
LONG-LASTING SOLID COSMETIC COMPOSITION
A solid cosmetic composition including at least 15% by weight of a volatile liquid fatty phase, 40% to 85% by weight of a powdery phase having spherical fillers which are surface-treated with a metallic soap. Also a method for preparing such a solid cosmetic composition and to a method for making up the skin or lips using same.
WATER-RELEASING STICK-TYPE COSMETIC
The present invention relates to a water-releasing stick-type cosmetic and, specifically, to a water-releasing stick-type cosmetic containing: an oily portion; and a water-releasing ingredient that is spread out in the oily portion, wherein the water-releasing ingredient has water particles encompassed by a plurality of plate-shaped materials to which emulsifiers are bound. According to the present invention, provided is a water-releasing stick-type cosmetic, which can provide a moist and cool feeling by directly supplying a large quantity of water, has excellent dosage form stability by having a hardness suitable for stick cosmetics, and simultaneously has excellent application texture, excellent storage stability and excellent color tone.
PORE HIDING COSMETIC COMPOSITION COMPRISING A PLATE TYPE FILLER, A SILICON ELASTOMER AND AN OIL ABSORBING FILLER
The invention relates to a cosmetic composition, in particular in the form of a liquid cosmetic composition, comprising in a physiological medium (i) at least a plate type filler with refractive index>1.6 and having a particle size between 1 m and 20 m, preferably between 1 m and 15 m, (ii) at least a silicon elastomer, preferably a non-emulsifying silicon elastomer, and (iii) at least a filler having an oil absorption capacity greater than or equal to 1 ml/g. The composition is preferably used as a skin care or make-up base or primer intended to decrease the visibility of skin imperfections, in particular the pores and make the pore hiding effect long lasting.
TITANIUM PHOSPHATE POWDER, PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR, AND WHITE PIGMENT FOR COSMETICS
The titanium phosphate powder of the present invention includes plate-shaped crystalline particles of titanium phosphate, an average thickness of the plate-shaped crystalline particles is 0.01 m or more and less than 0.10 m, and an aspect ratio, which is a value obtained by dividing an average primary particle diameter of the plate-shaped crystalline particles by the average thickness, is 5 or more. In the method for producing a titanium phosphate powder of the present invention, a raw material containing titanium and phosphorus is caused to react by a hydrothermal synthesis method, and when the titanium phosphate powder including plate-shaped crystalline particles of titanium phosphate is produced, a mixture of titanium sulfate and phosphoric acid is used as the raw material.
