TOPICAL COMPOSITION
A composition comprising a titanium metal organic framework and a dermatologically acceptable carrier is presented, the use of the same as a sunscreen or cosmetic. A method of protecting skin from the effect of UV radiation comprising administering the same to skin.
COSMETIC OR PERSONAL CARE FORMULATIONS CONTAINING POROUS METAL OXIDE SPHERES
A cosmetic or personal care formulation includes a carrier and porous metal oxide spheres wherein, the porous metal oxide spheres have, e.g., an average diameter of about 0.5 μm to about 100 μm and an average porosity of about 0.10 to about 0.80; the porous metal oxide spheres have one or more population of pores each having an average pore diameter, wherein each population has a different average pore diameter and wherein the average pore diameters are, e.g., from about 50 nm to about 999 nm.
STABILIZING AGENT FOR PROBIOTIC COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to the use of surface-reacted calcium carbonate as stabilizing agent for a probiotic composition, wherein the surface-reacted calcium carbonate is a reaction product of natural ground calcium carbonate or precipitated calcium carbonate with carbon dioxide and one or more H.sub.3O.sup.+ ion donors, wherein the carbon dioxide is formed in situ by the H.sub.3O.sup.+ ion donors treatment and/or is supplied from an external source.
Matt-effect composition comprising hydrophobic aerogel particles and silicone elastomer particles
The present invention relates to a cosmetic and/or dermatological composition comprising, in a physiologically acceptable medium: a) at least some hydrophobic aerogel particles, b) at least some silicone elastomer particles, c) at least one particle that absorbs sebum. The invention also relates to a process for making the skin matt and/or for reducing its shine.
Surface-reacted calcium carbonate with functional cations
A surface-reacted calcium carbonate is described. In embodiments, the surface-reacted calcium carbonate is obtained by a process comprising treating a calcium carbonate-comprising material with at least one H.sub.3O.sup.+ ion donor, carbon dioxide, and at least one water-soluble metal cation source in an aqueous medium to form an aqueous suspension of surface-reacted calcium carbonate.
Active substance carrier comprising biopolymer
The present disclosure relates to an active substance carrier comprising a core-shell network structure formed using a biopolymer. In an aspect of the present disclosure, the core-shell network structure comprises a core-shell particle comprising: a core comprising prolamin; and a shell comprising pullulan and pectin, wherein the pullulan comprised in the shell surrounds the core and the pectin is located in the outermost layer of the shell, so that a network is formed between the core-shell particles. It can effectively facilitate the transdermal absorption of an active substance.
Zinc / amino acid-functionalized silica
Disclosed herein is zinc/amino acid functionalized silica, compositions comprising the same, and oral care methods and uses for such compositions.
WATER-TYPE OR OIL-IN-WATER-TYPE COSMETIC PRODUCT
A water-type or oil-in-water type cosmetic provided with a watery feeling in use and high ultraviolet protection ability. The water-type or oil-in-water-type cosmetic according to the present invention is characterized by containing (A) a porous spherical powder having an average particle size of 1 to 4 μm and an oil absorption rate of 160 ml/100 g or lower; and (B) an ultraviolet absorption agent.
Hollow particles and use of same
Hollow particles each having a shell composed of at least one layer, wherein the at least one layer contains a nitrogen atom-containing resin having a refractive index of 1.57 or less.
