Nanoemulsions and a method for making the same
Nanoemulsions and a method for making the same are described. The nanoemulsions comprise a skin benefit agent in the water phase and they are made from two macroemulsions that have non-identical pH values.
Water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic
A low-viscosity water-in-oil cosmetic emulsion preparation gives a smooth use feeling, lightly spreads when applied, and has excellent dispersed-powder stability. The cosmetic emulsion preparation has (A) a polar oil which is liquid at 25° C. and has an IOB value exceeding 0.1, (B) a hydrocarbon oil, (C) a polyoxyalkylene; and alkyl-modified organopolysiloxane represented by general formula (I), and (D) a powder surface-treated with both an N-acylamino acid and methylpolysiloxane. (In formula (I), R represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-5 alkyl group, x is an integer of 5-50, y is an integer of 1-30, z is an integer of 20-200, a is an integer of 2-20, b is an integer of 1-5, c is an integer of 2-20, and d is an integer of 0-20). ##STR00001##
Hair treatment compositions
A hair treatment compositions including about 20 wt. % or more of a polyol; about 5 wt. % to about 50 wt. % of a monoalcohol having 1 to 10 carbons; about 0.1 to about 5 wt. % of silicone; about 0.1 to about 10 wt. % of a cationic polymer; about 0.1 to about 10 wt. % of a cationic surfactant; about 0.1 to about 15 wt. % of a fatty alcohol; and about 10 wt. % or less of water, wherein all percentages by weight are based on the total weight of the hair treatment composition.
ANTI-UV COSMETIC COMPOSITION
Anti-UV cosmetic compositions in the form of an emulsion may include an emulsifying polymer which is prepared by polymerizing an anionic monomer and a C1-C7 ester of an unsaturated carboxylic acid. Such anti-UV cosmetic compositions may be prepared in the absence of a surfactant. The preparation and use of such anti-UV cosmetic compositions may provide anti-UV cosmetic composition having dual protection for the skin: protection against UV rays and limiting the penetration of UV filters into the skin.
COSMETIC COMPOSITION
Provided is a cosmetic composition which includes at least one silicone resin and at least one emulsifier.
SCALP PROTECTION COMPOSITION
Disclosed herein is a scalp protection composition that includes a carboxylate compound, an emulsifier, and water. The carboxylate compound is represented by formula (I):

In formula (I), R.sup.1 represents a C.sub.4-C.sub.8 alkyl group, and R.sup.2 represents a C.sub.10-C.sub.26 alkyl group.
LOW VISCOSITY EMULSION COSMETIC COMPOSITION
The salt-stable cosmetic composition is in the form of a low viscosity emulsion (oil in water) and is especially stable at high electrolyte contents and includes a salt-stable polymeric system comprising a polymer blend such that the salt-stable cosmetic composition resists phase separation, pilling and gellifying at high salt content, conferring a flowable, lightweight lotion-type texture.
Dispersions comprising at least one non-volatile hydrocarbon oil
A dispersion containing a dispersed phase comprising drops and a continuous aqueous phase, preferably in the form of gel, in which the drops comprise a fatty phase containing at least one gelling agent, and in which the fatty phase comprises at least one non-volatile hydrocarbon oil H1 containing more than 90%, and preferably more than 95%, fatty acids having at least 18 carbon atoms and preferably at least 20 carbon atoms.
