APPARATUS FOR OUTPUTTING VIRTUAL KEYBOARD AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
Disclosed is an apparatus for outputting a virtual keyboard, the apparatus including: a virtual keyboard image output unit determining coordinates of a virtual keyboard image by using hand information of a user and outputting the virtual keyboard image; a contact recognition unit determining a contact state by using collision information between a virtual physical collider associated with an end point of a user's finger and a virtual physical collider associated with each virtual key of the virtual keyboard image; a keyboard input unit providing multiple input values for a single virtual key; and a feedback output unit outputting respective feedback for the multiple input values. Accordingly, input convenience and efficiency may be provided by outputting the virtual keyboard in a three dimensional virtual space and reproducing an input method using a keyboard form that is similar to the real world.
Information terminal device and biological sample measurement device
In an information terminal device (100), a display component (2) displays, on the basis of commands from a controller (9), a plurality of character keys, an enter key (20) for entering input information including one or more characters inputted by selecting the plurality of character keys, and a selection marker indicating one of the plurality of character keys being selected. An input component (3) includes a select key (5) that causes the controller (9) to successively move the selection marker displayed on the display component (2) over the plurality of character keys so as to select one of the character keys, and a change key (8) that causes the controller (9) to change a display content of the display component (2). When the change key (8) has been operated in a state in which the input information is being displayed on the display component (2), the controller (9) moves the selection marker displayed on the display component (2) from the selected character key directly to the enter key (20).
Information processing apparatus and control method of such an information processing apparatus
In a case where an input field is selected, an information processing apparatus determines whether a remote operation is being performed, and based on a state of the remote operation, the information processing apparatus displays or hides a software keyboard of the information processing apparatus.
REMOTE HOVER TOUCH SYSTEM AND METHOD
A controller includes a touch sensor and a proximity sensor. Information on when and where a user touches the surface of the touch sensor is detected. Additionally, information on pre-touch events is detecting. The pre-touch events correspond to a user's finger hovering over the touch sensor within some maximum depth. A display device generates visualizations based on the hover events and the touch events. This can include providing visual feedback in a hover mode where a user's finger is, relative to the touch sensor. Additionally, various forms of navigation information may be provided in the hover mode, as well as other control information.
VIRTUAL KEYBOARD FOR INPUTTING CHINESE CHARACTERS AND CONFIGURING METHOD THEREOF, AND CHINESE CHARACTER INPUT SYSTEM
The present invention provides a virtual keyboard for inputting Chinese characters and a configuring method thereof, an input method, and a Chinese character input system. The configuring method includes the following steps: setting a geometric layout of the virtual keyboard; and setting initials and finals on available keys of the virtual keyboard respectively using a cost function-based search algorithm so as to obtain an optimal layout of initial keys and final keys, wherein the initial keys and the final keys in the optimal layout are set based on a minimum cost function value for spelling all Chinese syllables, and the minimum cost function value is a minimum sum of weighted distances of the initial keys and the final keys for all the Chinese syllables. When the Chinese characters are input by the virtual keyboard obtained by this method, the number of operation times and the movement distance can be reduced effectively and thus the input efficiency of the Chinese characters and the usability of the virtual keyboard are greatly improved.
Alternative hypothesis error correction for gesture typing
In one example, a method may include outputting, by a computing device and for display, a graphical keyboard comprising a plurality of keys, and receiving an indication of a gesture. The method may include determining an alignment score that is based at least in part on a word prefix and an alignment point traversed by the gesture. The method may include determining at least one alternative character that is based at least in part on a misspelling that includes at least a portion of the word prefix. The method may include determining an alternative alignment score based at least in part on the alternative character; and outputting, by the computing device and for display, based at least in part on the alternative alignment score, a candidate word based at least in part on the alternative character.
DETECTING FINGER MOVEMENTS
Examples relate to determining finger movements. In one example, a computing device may: receive input from at least one of: a first proximity sensor coupled to the frame at a first position and facing a first direction; or a second proximity sensor coupled to the frame at a second position and facing a second direction; determine, based on the input, that a finger action occurred, the finger action being one of: a first movement of a first finger, the first movement being detected by the first proximity sensor; a second movement of a second finger, the second movement being detected by the second proximity sensor; generate, based on the finger action, output that includes data defining an event that corresponds to the finger action; and provide the output to another computing device.
Character input method and apparatus in portable terminal having touch screen
A character input method and apparatus in an electronic terminal are provided. The character input method includes displaying a virtual keypad having at least one key area to which a plurality of characters are associated, displaying a plurality of areas when a touch is detected on the at least one key area, detecting whether the touch includes a drag and inputting, after the drag is detected, a character mapped to an area corresponding to a point where the drag is released.
Password fraud protection apparatus
A locking apparatus is provided which includes a display including a plurality of characters comprising the predetermined characters of the personal identification code, a pointer for moving along the plurality of characters on the display means and a controller for selecting the predetermined characters of the personal identification code when the pointing means moves along the plurality of characters on the display means. The controller is configured to select a first predetermined character of the personal identification code when the pointing means is configured to move in a first direction on the display means and to pass the first predetermined character and then to stop randomly between the first predetermined character and a first predetermined marker character on the display means. The apparatus provides password fraud protection.
APPARATUS FOR USER INPUT TO A COMPUTER USING HAND AND FINGER MOVEMENTS
An apparatus is provided for user input to a computer. The apparatus consists of movable left and right paddles connected to the ends of a tie bar by 3-axis gimbles. The paddles are shaped to facilitate holding the device and rotating the paddles while keeping a user's fingers and thumbs free to activate tactile key-switches positioned under them. The position of the gimbles relative to the tie bar cause the paddles to rest in a neutral position when the apparatus is pressed between a user's hands. The gimbles rotate off the neutral position based on a user's wrist position. Both the rotations of the paddles and the status of the key-switches are used to determine the input codes sent to a paired computer. A display on the paired computer shows left and right arrays of icons representing available inputs and highlights the inputs currently accessible by the user's fingers and thumbs based on the paddle positions.
