Image display control device, image display system, and computer program product
An image display control device according to the present invention includes a display control unit, an obtaining unit, a drawing unit, a deleting unit, and an operating unit. The display control unit displays an image on a display device. The obtaining unit obtains contact position information or proximity position information of a drawing device, which is relative to a display area of the display device. The drawing unit generates a drawn image, compose a display image of an information processing apparatus with the drawn image, and displays the composite image on the display device. The deleting unit deletes the drawn image from the displayed image, and display on the display device. The operating unit operates the information processing apparatus. The drawing device switches and specifies a generation and deletion of the drawn image, and an operation of the information processing apparatus.
REMOTE HOVER TOUCH SYSTEM AND METHOD
A controller includes a touch sensor and a proximity sensor. Information on when and where a user touches the surface of the touch sensor is detected. Additionally, information on pre-touch events is detecting. The pre-touch events correspond to a user's finger hovering over the touch sensor within some maximum depth. A display device generates visualizations based on the hover events and the touch events. This can include providing visual feedback in a hover mode where a user's finger is, relative to the touch sensor. Additionally, various forms of navigation information may be provided in the hover mode, as well as other control information.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONVERTING CRT TOUCHSCREEN MONITOR TO FLAT TOUCHSCREEN MONITOR
A flat touchscreen monitor that uses touchscreen-effectuating components from a cathode ray tube (CRT) monitor to allow users to upgrade to a flat touchscreen monitor without having to purchase a new flat touchscreen monitor. The flat touchscreen monitor includes first, second, third, and fourth curved-array connectors that were previously configured to electrically attach to a pair of curved-array of IR transmitters and a pair of curved-array of IR receivers, respectively. The monitor further includes first and second straight-array of IR transmitters electrically coupled to the first and second curved-array of connectors, respectively. Additionally, the monitor includes first and second straight-array of IR receivers electrically coupled to the third and fourth curved-array of connectors, respectively. The third and fourth curved-array of connectors are electrically coupled to a touchscreen controller. The straight-array of IR transmitters and receivers may be positioned on all sides of a flatscreen to effectuate the touchscreen operation.
Photodetector and display device with light guide configured to face photodetector circuit and reflect light from a source
Influence of external light is suppressed. With a photodetector including a photodetector circuit which generates a data signal in accordance with illuminance of incident light and a light unit which overlaps with the photodetector circuit, a first data signal is generated by the photodetector circuit when the light unit is in an ON state, a second data signal is formed by the photodetector circuit when the light unit is in an OFF state, and the first data signal and the second data signal are compared, so that a difference data signal that is data of a difference between the two compared data signals is generated.
Decimation strategies for input event processing
In an embodiment, a touch sensitive device includes a touch interface having rows and columns and a signal generator for generating unique orthogonal signals on a plurality of the rows, respectively. A touch processor is identifies touch on the touch interface by processing touch signals present on the columns, and outputting a stream of touch events. A decimator receives the stream of touch events, selectively identifies one or more of the touch events in the stream, and outputs a modified stream of touch events for use by the touch sensitive device.
Scrolling input device
An input device may include an image sensor having an imaging surface that includes an array of pixels, and an optical waveguide layer carried by the imaging surface and having an exposed user surface and a first refractive index associated therewith. The input device may also include a substrate between the optical waveguide layer and the image sensor and having a second refractive index associated therewith that is lower than first refractive index. A collimation layer may be between the image sensor and the substrate. A light source may be configured to transmit light into the optical waveguide so that the light therein undergoes a total internal reflection. The optical waveguide may be adjacent the imaging surface so that an object brought into contact with the exposed user surface disturbs the total internal reflection resulting in an image pattern on the imaging surface.
Input device
An input device includes an irradiation component that emits scanning light relative to an input region of a projected image, a light receiver that receives reflected light of the scanning light to output detection signal, a detector that detects an input operation relative to the input region based on the detection signal from the light receiver; and a controller that sets an irradiation parameter of the scanning light from the irradiation component based on the input region.
Method and apparatus for tomographic tough imaging and interactive system using same
A touch screen in the form of a panel is capable of conducting signals and a tomograph including signal flow ports is positioned adjacent the panel with the signal flow ports arrayed around the border of the panel at discrete locations. Signals are introduced into the panel to pass from each discrete border location to a plurality of other discrete border locations for being detected and tomographically processed to determine if any change occurred to signals due to the panel being touched during signal passage through the panel, and therefrom determine any local area on the panel where a change occurred. The tomograph computes and outputs a signal indicative of a panel touch and location, which can be shown on a display.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE HAVING A FLEXIBLE DISPLAY
The electronic device detects a pointing input to an edge area in a viewable screen portion on one side of a display screen of a display module, provides an affordance for changing a size of the viewable screen portion based on one or a combination of two or more of a time when a pointing input is maintained in the edge area, a moving distance of the pointing input, and a moving speed of the pointing input, and changes an area of the viewable screen portion to a size determined by the pointing input through a variable driver.
LIGHTING APPARATUS
A lighting apparatus with an image-projecting function that is convenient for a user is provided. It includes: an illuminating unit that emits illumination light; a projection-type image display unit that emits image-projecting emission light for projecting an image; and a sensor that emits operation-detecting light for operation detection and that is capable of detecting an operation by an operation object in a range including an image projection area of the projection-type image display unit, and is configured so that the image-projecting light, and the operation-detecting emission light have respective different wavelength distribution characteristics, and regarding a light amount in the wavelength range of light used by the sensor for the operation detection, a light amount of the operation-detecting light is the largest among those of the illumination light, the image-projecting emission light, and the operation-detecting light.
