PRINTING SYSTEM, A METHOD OF PRINTING A PRINT JOB, AND A PROGRAM
A printing system with at least one printer and at least two print servers is provided for printing a print job on a selected printer. The print job is stored on one of the print servers and print job information about the stored print job on the storing print server is shared between the print servers. In case of a request for print out the print job on the selected printer, the print job is sent from the storing print server to the selected printer based on the print job information.
CONTROL DEVICE AND PROCESSING APPARATUS SYSTEM
A control device includes: a receiving unit that receives a request for processing; a determination unit that determines a processing apparatus to be moved from among a plurality of processing apparatuses based on a predetermined standard in a case where the receiving unit receives a request for processing; and a control unit that controls movement of the processing apparatus based on a result of determination performed by the determination unit.
Image forming apparatus, method for executing job, and non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions for image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes a receiving unit which receives jobs, an image forming unit which forms an image on a sheet, a storage unit, and a controller. Each of the jobs is a first type job or a second type job. The first type job includes recipient-specific information that specifies a recipient of a sheet on which an image related to the first type job is formed, and the second type job does not include the recipient-specific information. In a case that a job is received by the receiving unit while not executing any job, the controller controls the image forming unit to form an image related to the job on a sheet. In a case that another job is received by the receiving unit while executing the job, the controller stores the another job in the storage unit.
INK-JET PRINTER
An ink-jet printer includes a conveyor, a carriage, a recording head, an ink receiver, a command receiver, and a controller. The controller executes: determining an ink amount that the recording head should discharge to the ink receiver; executing a flushing process that moves the carriage to an area facing the ink receiver and causes each of a plurality of nozzles to discharge ink of the determined ink amount; and based on the flushing process having finished, executing a recording process. The controller, based on the determined ink amount being less than a first threshold value, causes the recording head to discharge ink of the determined ink amount in a times of the flushing processes, and based on the determined ink amount being the first threshold value or more, causes the recording head to discharge ink of the determined ink amount dispersed in β(β>α) times of the flushing processes.
Authorized printing
In some examples, a memory resource may store non-transitory machine-readable instructions executable by a processing resource to authenticate a user, authorize the authenticated user at an imaging device for a finite amount of time and during the finite amount of time, automatically route a plurality of print jobs to a queue and automatically release the plurality of print jobs.
Data processing apparatus that switches to execution of a different command list at a preset control point, method of controlling the same, and computer-readable storage medium
This invention provides a data processing apparatus operable to execute processing requested by an application, where the apparatus comprises a processing unit configured to, if there is an instruction for processing, execute the processing in accordance with a command list indicated by the instruction; and a control unit configured to, upon receiving a request for processing from the application, generate a command list corresponding to the request and instruct the processing unit to perform the processing, wherein the processing unit comprises a switching unit configured to, upon receiving, from the control unit, a second instruction during execution of a command list for a first instruction, switch to execution of a command list for the second instruction at a timing of execution of a command that is a control point preset in the command list for the first instruction.
Image Forming Apparatus, and Method and Computer-Readable Medium Therefor
An image forming apparatus includes a controller configured to perform a first storing process including storing into a storage first image data received from a first external device via a first communication interface, when a value representing a condition of a wireless connection between the first external device and the first communication interface is less than a threshold, perform a first image forming process including after completion of the first storing process, controlling the image former to perform image formation for the stored first image data, and when the value is less than the threshold, in response to receiving second image data from a second external device via a second communication interface during the first storing process, perform a second image forming process in advance of the first image forming process, the second image forming process including controlling the image former to perform image formation for the second image data.
Control method, printer, and storage medium
A printer switches between and uses plural communication units according to the operating mode, can switch the operating mode appropriately to the operating conditions, and can improve power conservation. The printer has a network control unit with a first communication unit configured to communicate in a first operating mode; and a main control unit having a second communication unit configured to communicate in a second operating mode. The main control unit limits the power supply to the first communication unit in the second operating mode; and the second communication unit determines whether or not to go to the first operating mode based on content of data received in the second operating mode.
PRINT SYSTEM, PREVIEW IMAGE DISPLAY METHOD, PRINT JOB GENERATING DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING DEVICE, STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PRINT JOB GENERATING PROGRAM, AND STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PREVIEW IMAGE DISPLAY PROGRAM
A print system includes a print job generating device including a print job generating section configured to generate a print job including ink color information indicating ink colors to be used in printing and raster image data for each of the ink colors, and a transmission section configured to transmit the generated print job to an image forming device, and an image forming device including a reception section configured to receive a print job transmitted from the transmission section, a processing section configured to determine ink colors to be used in printing and ink colors not to be used in printing based on the ink color information included in the print job, and a display controller configured to display preview images indicated by the raster image data of the ink colors to be used in printing in a display section based on a result of the determination.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS FOR PRINT JOB DATA IN PDL FORMAT
An image processing apparatus includes a processor and a memory including instructions. The instructions, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations including: receiving a print job data in a PDL format from an external apparatus; determining whether a Generator of the print job data satisfies a guarantee condition guaranteeing compatibility with the image processing apparatus; upon determining that the generator of the print job data does not satisfy the guarantee condition, executing a preflight processing of checking a syntax of the print job data and then developing the print job data subjected to the preflight processing into an image data; and upon determining that the generator of the print job data satisfies the guarantee condition, skipping the preflight processing and then developing the print job data not subjected to the preflight processing into an image data.
