An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: transmit authentication information to a first image forming apparatus; acquire, from the first image forming apparatus, job information acquired by the first image forming apparatus from a server using the authentication information, the job information being information on one or more jobs corresponding to the authentication information; cause a display to display a screen presenting the acquired job information; receive, on the displayed screen, selection of one or more jobs to print using the first image forming apparatus; and transmit selection information indicating one or more selected jobs selected by the selection to the first image forming apparatus to instruct the first image forming apparatus to acquire the one or more selected jobs from the server.

A peer-to-peer network of printing devices is configured to share information and color printing resources, such as TRCs, spot colors, and ICC profiles, as well as paper catalogs within the network without the need for a centralized server or cloud service. The digital front ends (DFEs) of the printing devices manage printing device information which is made available to all printing devices. When an update occurs at a printing device within the peer-to-peer network, its DFE sends a signal to the other printing devices to synchronize their information with the updated information. When a new printing device is added to the peer-to-peer network, its information and color printing resources are merged or replaced with the information within the network.

A control system includes a control target device communicable with an information terminal and a server system. The server system includes an issue unit issuing a registration code in accordance with an input format of the information terminal in response to an issue request of a registration code from the control target device and a reply unit replying the registration code to the control target device. The control target device presents the replied registration code. If the presented registration code is inputted to the information terminal, information including the inputted registration code and an ID of the information terminal is transmitted to the server system. If the registration code transmitted from the information terminal and an input format thereof coincide with the registration code issued from the issue unit and an input format thereof, the server system performs registration processing for associating the information terminal with the control target device.

A processing device includes an interface, a memory, and a processor. The interface facilitates communication with a server and other processing devices. The memory stores first model information indicating a first model of the processing device. The processor receives setting information from the server where the setting information includes a first ID for identifying a first setting content, applies the first setting content, transmits first ID information including the first model information and the first ID to the other processing devices, receives second ID information from the other processing devices, acquires second model information from the second ID information, determines whether a second setting content of a second ID included in the second ID information is already applied to the processing device in response to the second model information matching the first model information, and transmits a notification to the server indicating that the second setting content is not applied.

An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to in a case of executing printing with print settings using a predetermined function, receive, from an image forming apparatus within a predetermined first distance, information on a function executable by an image forming apparatus different from the image forming apparatus within the first distance, the information on the function being stored in the image forming apparatus within the first distance, and store the information on the function, and notify of an image forming apparatus capable of printing with the print settings, based on the information on the function.

A printing apparatus includes a reception unit and a determination unit. The reception unit receives a display mode of a sheet type from an information processing apparatus. The determination unit determines sheet type information to be transmitted to the information processing apparatus, based on the display mode of the sheep type received by the reception unit.

The printing device registers setting information pertaining to printing and sends identification information of the registered setting information registered to an information processing device in response to an obtainment request from the information processing device. When a print job including the identification information is received from the information processing device, the printing device executes the print job having applied the setting information corresponding to the identification information to print settings of the print job.

A printer driver communicates with a printer using a predetermined print protocol to obtain first attribute information related to printing from the printer. The print driver generates a print job conforming to the predetermined print protocol based on data received from an application and transmits the generated print job to the extension application (S606). The extension application obtains attribute information in a different form from the first attribute information (S611). The extension application displays a user interface (UI) for print settings based on at least the second attribute information (S613). The extension application generates a print job to be transmitted to the printer based on settings made via the UI and the print job received from the printer driver.

A printing apparatus, that performs communication via a secure first network and communication via a second network, receives print data from a first terminal apparatus connected to the first network, via the first network, or from a second terminal apparatus connected to the second network, via the second network, and transmits information for the print data to at least either one of a first server that performs communication via the first network and a second server that performs communication via the second network, based on through which of the first and the second networks the print data has been received. In the printing apparatus, in a case where the print data is received via the first network, the information for the print data is transmitted to the first server via the first network, without via the second network.

An information processing apparatus includes at least one memory device that stores a set of instructions, and at least one processor that executes the set of instructions to receive, from a printing apparatus, an output profile of the printing apparatus, and receive, from an external apparatus, print data and quality requirement data including a spot color. A color profile to be used as a print setting is chosen based on the received output profile of the printing apparatus and the spot color included in the received quality requirement data.
