A photocopier optically scans a series of documents into corresponding digital images. Prior to printing an image on a print medium, such as paper, the photocopier arranges the scanned images on a preview page for display to a user. The user previews the images on the display to ensure that the images are aligned and do not overlap, and then prints the digital images to a single sheet. The images are printed to the single sheet as they are arranged on the preview page being displayed to the user.

An information processing apparatus decides a division condition of an image to be laid out in a print content based on at least one of information of the image and information of the information processing apparatus by causing at least one of a first program layer and second program layer to operate; divides the image in accordance with the division condition decided and creates a divided image by causing the second program layer to operate; constructs the print content in which the divided image is laid out by causing at least one of the first program layer and second program layer to operate; renders the print content in which the divided image is laid out and generate a rendering image by causing the second program layer to operate; and generates print data using the rendering image by causing the second program layer to operate.

An image forming apparatus includes an engine including circuitry that expands first image data, converts the expanded first image data into second image data in a format printable by the image forming apparatus, adds a positioning element to the second image data, the positioning element to be used for correcting positions of a first image and a second image, and controls a mechanical system of the image forming apparatus to print the second image data.

An information processing apparatus capable of operating an application, the application includes a generation unit that generates a control job for occupying communication with a peripheral device and enter the generated control job in a job queue, and a deletion unit that deletes the control job entered in the job queue, wherein if a status of the control job entered in the job queue is processing, communication with the peripheral device via a communication unit is occupied by the application that has created the control job, and after communication for the application is completed, the deletion unit deletes the control job entered in the job queue.

A printer is caused to perform duplex printing by an information processing device in which an OS standard printing program is installed. When causing a printer connected to a PC to execute duplex printing based on a print instruction output from an editing application installed in the PC, an auxiliary program that supports the printer executes rotation processing of rotating an image of a page, which is required to be rotated, by 180° for intermediate data received from a general-purpose print program, executes rearrangement processing of rearranging a processing order from a page order to a print order for print data received from the general-purpose print program, according to a sheet conveying aspect of the printer, and transmits the print data after the rotation processing and the rearrangement processing from the PC to the printer.

Embodiments of the invention assist a human pre-press operator or designer to produce layouts of photos in a multi-page book. Some embodiments operate autonomously, given only high-level configuration parameters such as number of pages and number of images. Other embodiments operate interactively, preparing an automatic layout and then accepting manual adjustments to the selection of images and their arrangement on the pages. An embodiment may produce a computer-readable medium for use in a subsequent printing process, or may produce the finished printed book itself.

A method of printing a web page by using a mobile terminal and a mobile terminal are provided. The method includes displaying the web page on the mobile terminal, extracting objects that are to be printed from the web page displayed on the mobile terminal, setting a layout of the extracted objects, and generating printing data by rendering the objects according to the layout.

A creating unit creates output data in which the original document based on the processed original document data is disposed in an arrangement region on a recording medium having the original document formed thereon in a case where a ratio of a region of the original document based on the processed original document data to the arrangement region falls within an arrangement limitation, in a case where an amount of processing performed by the processing unit falls within a processing limitation.
