Image forming apparatus, control method of image forming apparatus, and storage medium for controlling image formation on a sheet
An image forming apparatus can create various output products using a transparent sheet as intended by a user.
ORGANIZED ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION PRINTING AND REFERENCING
The incorporation of digitally-printed assembly instructions and notations into textile product assembly processes is described. In one embodiment, an order to purchase a textile product having a number of panels is received. The panels are arranged and placed into a template for printing on a textile printer. Seams among the panels are identified and, with reference to the seams, assembly tasks are compiled to assemble the textile product. The assembly tasks are ordered according to at least one assembly factor directed to efficiency, quality, or other factors. The assembly tasks are associated with a set of assembly notations according to an assembly notation syntax. The assembly notations are incorporated into the template for printing, and the textile printer is instructed to print the panels along with the assembly notations. Sewing workers can refer to the assembly notations to determine how the textile product should be assembled using the panels.
METHODS, APPARATUSES, AND SYSTEMS FOR VERIFYING PRINTED IMAGE AND IMPROVING PRINT QUALITY
A method for evaluating a print quality of a printed document that is printed by a printer is provided. The printer comprises a pre-print image scanner, a post-print image scanner, and a printhead disposed between the pre-print image scanner and the post-print image scanner. The method comprises generating a pre-printing image of a print media, generating the printed document, generating a post-printing image of the printed document, generating a validation image by comparing the post-printing image with the pre-printing image, and comparing the validation image with the source image.
Image selection and sizing for jewelry
A method for formatting an image sized for use with jewelry includes selecting a jewelry design from among a plurality of designs, selecting an image for reproduction, editing the selected image to fit in a virtual display frame representative of and corresponding to a physical frame of the selected locket, and generating a cutout layout of the edited image on a printable media of a predetermined size, which when printed, includes a reproduction of the selected image sized to fit the selected jewelry. Selecting an image may include selecting a digital image from a user's social media account. Also, the method may include generating user-directed queries related to at least one of lifestyle, passions, and interests, receiving responses from the user to the user-directed queries, and based on the received responses, generating suggested indicia for selection by the user.
Printer to die cutter media size shift
Disclosed herein is an industrial printing operation and associated printing instructions that make use a non-die cutter operation to subdivide a media sheet, followed by a series of die-cutter operations each subdivision to take advantage of industrial printer efficiency. This printing operation is enabled by planning and impositioning phases that generate print instructions allows a change in media size from printer apparatus to dies. Specifically, during the planning phase of the print order, a printer apparatus and a die or set of dies are selected where the media size used by the printer apparatus is larger than the die(s) is/are designed for.
AUTOMATED TEMPLATE GENERATION FOR TILING
Methods relating generally to printing to a medium with a printer are disclosed. In one such method, a plurality of objects (“the objects”) for a tile is received. An object count for each object type of the objects is counted. A tile-reuse count is initialized. A tile object associated with the objects is generated. Tile area data for the tile, tiling area data for a tiling area, and bounding region data for a bounding region are received. A check is performed for the tile area data having at least one dimension exceeding a corresponding bounding region dimension of the bounding region data. It is determined that the tiling area data does have at least one dimension exceeding the bounding region dimension. Responsive to the determining the tiling area data does have at least one dimension exceeding the bounding region dimension, a template for the tile is generated for non-overlapping tiling.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR OPERATING A PRINTING APPARATUS
Various embodiments illustrated herein disclose a method comprising rendering a buffer image from a first image data received for printing. Further, the method includes scaling the buffer image to generated scaled buffer image. Furthermore, the method includes determining a first location of a machine readable indicia in the scaled buffer image. Additionally, the method includes causing a print head to print the buffer image on a print media to generate a printed content.
Information processing apparatus and method for generating print data based on a 2-in-1 print instruction
A print processor is provided and executes layout processing excluding reduction processing in accordance with at least a determination that a print setting causing the reduction processing is made as a print setting, and notifies a printer driver of information about the layout processing excluding the reduction processing. The printer driver scales, upon reception of the information about the layout processing excluding the reduction processing from the print processor, rendering data subjected to the layout processing excluding the reduction processing by the print processor based on a parameter included in the notified information, and generates print data to be transmitted to a printing apparatus, based on the scaled rendering data.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR PRINTING SLICES OF A THREE-DIMENSIONAL COMPONENT MODEL
A method carried out by a printing device includes receiving a model of a three-dimensional component, receiving an output structure definition for the component, and segmenting the model of the component into a stack of slices. The method further includes, for each of the slices in the stack, outputting a respective printing layer comprising an arrangement of one or more slice instances of the slice according to the output structure definition.
