A printing system including a server connected to a first information processing apparatus and a second information processing apparatus via a network includes a reception unit configured to receive a request to print a file from the second information processing apparatus and a determination unit configured to determine whether a user associated with the second information processing apparatus has a right to print the file, wherein the printing system transmits a first notification for requesting a confirmation about whether to grant the right to the first information processing apparatus in a case where the determination unit determines that the user does not have the right, and wherein the printing system permits the file to be printed from a printing apparatus connected to the server in a case where a confirmation to grant the right is received from the first information processing apparatus as a response to the first notification.

According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor and a memory on which are stored computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the processor, may cause the processor to receive an input file and validate the input file for render errors. Based on a determination that the input file does not include the render errors, the processor may determine whether the input file passes a pre-flight analysis. Based on a determination that the input file has passed the pre-flight analysis, the processor may determine whether a specification of the input file matches an output specification for a printed document. Based on a determination that the specification of the input file corresponds to the output specification, the processor may output the input file as a verified input file for the printed document.

A system includes a printer and a server system in which registration of print data to be printed by a printer is performed. The server system includes a reception unit that receives a first message, which is transmitted from a message app operating in a client terminal to request the registration of the print data, via a message app server, a first transmission unit that transmits, in response to the message, a URL of a registration form of the print data to the message app via the message app server, a registration unit that registers the print data, which is transmitted by a browser operating in the client terminal by using the registration form, and a second transmission unit that transmits a print code corresponding to the print data to the message app via the message app server. The printer then executes printing based on the registered print data.

An information processing apparatus includes a user list providing unit configured to receive device identification information from a current device connected via a network and to send, to the current device, a user list including one or more user identifiers that are stored in a storage unit in association with the received device identification information; and a program list providing unit configured to receive a user identifier that is selected at the current device from the user identifiers in the user list and to send, to the current device, a program list including sets of program information stored in the storage unit in association with the received user identifier.

A method for transmitting print data to a cloud print service is provided. The method comprises transmitting a first print job including first data to the cloud print service; uploading, if a data size of the first print job exceeds an upper limit of a data size of a print job supported by the cloud print service, the first data to a cloud storage service; and transmitting, to the cloud print service, a second print job including resource information for accessing the first data uploaded to the cloud storage service.

A method for evaluating a print quality of a printed document that is printed by a printer is provided. The printer comprises a pre-print image scanner, a post-print image scanner, and a printhead disposed between the pre-print image scanner and the post-print image scanner. The method comprises generating a pre-printing image of a print media, generating the printed document, generating a post-printing image of the printed document, generating a validation image by comparing the post-printing image with the pre-printing image, and comparing the validation image with the source image.

A printing system includes a printing apparatus and an information processing apparatus coupled to the printing apparatus via a network, and displays a screen on a display section. The information processing apparatus includes an information acquisition section that acquires information including a keyword included in a print instruction by voice from a voice intermediary apparatus, a preview processing section that displays a print preview screen corresponding to a content based on the acquired keyword on the display section, and a print data transmission section that generates print data that uses the content and transmits the print data to the printing apparatus. A method for controlling a printer to print on a recording medium having a non-contact tag by a processor of the printer is provided. The method comprises placing the recording medium on a placement area of the printer; wireless reading, from the non-contact tag, a plurality of pieces of identification information each for identifying a specific image; detecting whether any one of a plurality operation buttons provided on the printer has been pressed by a user, wherein the pressed operation button is corresponding to one of plurality of pieces of identification information; acquiring, from a storage device provided in the printer, the specific image corresponding the one of plurality of pieces of identification information selected by the pressed operation button; and printing the specific image on the recording medium.
