A system including one or more processors and one or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computing instructions configured to run on the one or more processors and perform one or more processors and perform: transmitting an invitation to a mobile application on a mobile device of a user, wherein the invitation authorizes the mobile application on the mobile device to be used to check-in to a facility; generating, by a visitor application, an image that is displayed on a kiosk at an entrance of the facility; receiving, from the mobile device, image data of the image, as scanned by the mobile application from the kiosk, and mobile application data; validating whether the mobile application data and the image data satisfy one or more criteria; and when the one or more criteria are satisfied, authorizing the user to access the facility. A server system includes a first receiving unit configured to receive, from a printing apparatus operated by a user, a registration request for information regarding the printing apparatus, an acquisition unit configured to acquire information to be used for acquisition of capability information of the printing apparatus, from the printing apparatus that has transmitted the registration request, a transmission unit configured to transmit the acquired information to a different server system, and a second receiving unit configured to receive, from the different server system, capability information of the printing apparatus that is identified by the different server system based on the transmitted information.

An autonomous item generation system implements a trained machine learning model configured to output fabrication instructions for generating an item and metadata describing the item, automatically and independent of user input. Fabrication instructions output by the machine learning model are transmitted to a fabrication device for generating the item. The autonomous item generation system generates a listing for the item based on the metadata output by the machine learning model and publishes the listing to a virtual marketplace. Analytics data describing feedback for the item listing is used to generate training data for the machine learning model. The training data is input to the machine learning model, which causes the machine learning model to refine at least one control parameter according to a loss function that penalizes negative differences between predicted and observed feedback data for the item. The machine learning model with the refined parameter(s) is then used by the autonomous item generation system to generate fabrication instructions and metadata for an additional item.

An information processing apparatus comprises a processor configured to: authenticate a user designated as a utilizer of a document; enable the authenticated user to instruct a processing apparatus to perform processing of the document, the processing apparatus being different from the information processing apparatus; and disable the authenticated user to access the document from the information processing apparatus.

A web conference system is provided whereby a second apparatus transmits first information indicating whether a printer is connected to a second apparatus or second information indicating setting related to the printer connected to the second apparatus to a server. The server transmits the first information or the second information to a first apparatus. The first apparatus displays printer information about the printer connected to the second apparatus on a display screen based on the first information or the second information.

An image forming apparatus includes a confirmer, a response receiver, and a controller. The confirmer causes the image forming device to stand by, without starting production of a printed material, upon deciding that a print request has been sent from a remote location distant from the image forming apparatus, and transmits, through a network I/F, a request for final confirmation just before starting, about whether the production of the printed material may be started, to a user of a terminal device that transmitted the print request. The response receiver receives a response to the final confirmation, from the terminal device owned by the user. The controller causes the image forming device to start the production of the printed material, upon deciding that the response from the user received by the response receiver indicates permission to start the production of the printed material.

According to one embodiment, a control method for an image forming system includes establishing a remote connection to a first image forming device from a user terminal, then receiving, at the user terminal, screen information generated by the first image forming device and transmitted via the remote connection. The generated screen information is displayed on a display of the user terminal. A user input is received at the user terminal. The user input corresponds to the displayed screen information. For example, the user input selects a print data destination or the like. The user input is sent to the first image forming device.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and an apparatus for monitoring print jobs. The method includes configuring a monitoring program, where the monitoring program monitors queued jobs in a print spooler; and monitoring, by the monitoring program, submission time of all queued jobs; and if queue time of a queued job is determined to be greater than a first preset time, cancelling the queued job according to a preset configuration.
