OPERATING A STORAGE SERVER WITH A STORAGE VOLUME

A method, computer system, and a computer program product for operating at least one storage server. The present invention may include receiving an access request for at least one storage volume of at least one storage server. The present invention may include collecting data for the at least one storage volume, wherein the at least one storage volume has a corresponding unique volume identifier. The present invention may include storing at least the data for the at least one storage volume and the unique volume identifier in a database, the data being comprised of metadata and subset data, wherein the metadata is comprised of configuration and status information for the at least one storage volume, and wherein the subset data is a set of predefined selection criteria based on a respective computer server.

Distributed File System with Reduced Write and Read Latencies
20220391361 · 2022-12-08 ·

A method for reducing write latency in a distributed file system. A write request that includes a volume identifier is received at a data management subsystem deployed on a node within a distributed storage system. The data management subsystem maps the volume identifier to a file system volume and maps the file system volume to a set of logical block addresses in a logical block device in a storage management subsystem deployed on the node. The storage management subsystem maps the logical block device to a metadata object for the logical block device on the node that is used to process the write request. The mapping of the file system volume to the set of logical block addresses in the logical block device enables co-locating the metadata object with the file system volume on the node, which reduces the write latency associated with processing the write request.

A communication apparatus configured to acquire information in a distributed ledger shared in a network, the communication apparatus includes a memory; and a processor coupled to the memory and configured to acquire one or more digital certificates used by a user of another apparatus to apply to the communication apparatus from the other apparatus, acquire type information that identifies a combination of the user and the type of information certified by the one or more digital certificates, by using the distributed ledger, acquire certificate issue history that is recorded in the distributed ledger in association with the type information, and determine whether the issue history contains information of another digital certificate that has not been acquired from the other apparatus.

File system warnings application programing interface (API)

The present technology pertains to a organization directory hosted by a synchronized content management system. The corporate directory can provide access to user accounts for all members of the organization to all content items in the organization directory on the respective file systems of the members' client devices. Members can reach any content item at the same path as other members relative to the organization directory root on their respective client device. In some embodiments novel access permissions are granted to maintain path consistency.

Information processing apparatus and non-transitory computer readable medium storing information processing program

An information processing apparatus includes a transfer part that, in a case where an authentication process for connecting to a preset first storage area fails and transfer of a document processed in accordance with a preset process procedure to the first storage area fails, transfers the document to a second storage area, and in a case where the authentication process succeeds after the document is transferred to the second storage area, transfers the document stored in the second storage area to the first storage area.

METADATA PROCESSING METHOD AND APPARATUS, AND A COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM

Provided are a metadata processing method and apparatus, and a computer-readable storage medium. In the metadata processing method, a management server obtains metadata to be processed, wherein the metadata to be processed includes a directory structure and file attributes; and according to a load condition of at least one first node for storing the file attributes and based on a rule that file attributes of a same directory are stored in a same first node, the management server stores, in the at least one first node, the file attributes of directories in the directory structure in a distributed manner.

FILE TIERING TO DIFFERENT STORAGE CLASSES OF A CLOUD STORAGE PROVIDER

A method comprises receiving an input specifying one or more rules for archiving a plurality of files from a source storage location to a target storage location, wherein the target storage location comprises a cloud storage platform comprising a plurality of storage classes. In the method, one or more of the plurality of files are retrieved from the source storage location for migration to the target storage location based at least in part on the one or more rules. Assignment of the one or more of the plurality of files to respective ones of the plurality of storage classes is controlled based at least in part on the one or more rules. The one or more rules specify one or more constraints for the assignment of the one or more of the plurality of the files to the respective ones of the plurality of storage classes.

FILE JOURNAL INTERFACE FOR SYNCHRONIZING CONTENT
20230101958 · 2023-03-30 ·

In some embodiments, a system for synchronizing content with client devices receives a request from a client device to synchronize operations pertaining to content items associated with a user account registered at the system. The request can include the operations and a cursor identifying a current position of the client in a journal of revisions on the system. Based on the operations, the system generates linearized operations associated with the content items. The linearized operations can include a respective operation derived for each of the content items from one or more of the operations. The system converts each respective operation in the linearized operations to a respective revision for the journal of revisions and, based on the cursor, determines whether the respective revision conflicts with revisions in the journal. When the respective revision does not conflict with revisions in the journal, the system adds the respective revision to the journal.

Cloning catalog objects

Example systems and methods for cloning catalog objects are described. In one implementation, a method identifies an original catalog object associated with data and creates a duplicate copy of the original catalog object without copying the data itself. The method allows access to the data using the duplicate catalog object and supports modifying the data associated with the original catalog object independently of the duplicate catalog object. The duplicate catalog object can be deleted upon completion of modifying the data associated with the original catalog object.

Clone data object and software generation

A method and system for improving memory reorganization and storage technology is provided. The method includes configuring data capture settings of a database system resulting in configured data capture settings. Data objects associated with a user are retrieved and stored in a database. Overlapping data elements of the data objects are determined and associated collaboration data model software code is generated. A request for first data is received and mapped to the data objects. A clone data object associated with the first data object is generated with respect to the overlapping data elements.
