ASSET TRACKING SYSTEM
20210099952 · 2021-04-01 ·

An asset tracking system that has a master notification unit, a reader relay unit in communication with the master notification unit, and a tag configured to be coupled to an asset. When the reader relay unit identifies a tag, the reader relay unit sends a signal to the master notification unit providing both a tag identifier and a reader relay unit identifier.

INTELLIGENT TRACKING SYSTEM AND METHODS AND SYSTEMS THEREFOR

An intelligent tracking system generally includes one or more tracking devices, some of which may be passive tracking devices. Each passive tracking device includes one or more transceivers and is energized by an energizing signal. Some of these passive tracking devices may operate in a first communication mode or a second communication mode based on the energizing signal. Some tracking devices may include encryption modules or authentication modules. Some of these devices may incorporate a bulk acoustic wave oscillator.

Ambient RF backscatter communication for vehicle remote control and sensing

A vehicle communicates with a remote key fob while ensuring an RF environment is sufficient to maintain adequate power from an RF-harvesting power supply that allows the fob to operate without a battery. The vehicle has a receiver adapted to detect a backscatter communication signal from the fob. A harvesting emulator in the vehicle is responsive to ambient RF around the vehicle to duplicate a concurrent response of the fob power supply. A vehicle-powered RF transmitter is activated to broadcast energizing RF radiation around the vehicle when the duplicated response is below a threshold.

A NETWORK CONTROL ENTITY, AN ACCESS POINT AND METHODS THEREIN FOR ENABLING ACCESS TO WIRELESS TAGS IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK

A method performed in a network control entity for enabling access to a wireless tag in a wireless communications network is provided. The wireless communications network includes two or more access points, APs. The network control entity configures a first AP to transmit a radio frequency signal in a first time period, and configures a second AP to receive, in the first time period, a radio signal reflected from the wireless tag using the transmitted radio frequency signal. A network control entity for enabling access to at least one wireless tag in a wireless communications network is also provided.

Further, an access point AP and a method therein for enabling access to a wireless tag in a wireless communications network are also provided.
